WipZip Optimizer/Registry Optimizer

I've just updated µTorrent WinZip (I needed) appeared with her and also Registry Optimizer showed up on my screen... Now I don't know much about these programs, but I noticed that the certificate of Registry Optimizer expired since mid-2012... Is it safe to download it anyway? The optimizer has reported problems of 1094 and I must admit that I have some problems with my laptop recently. Any advise? Thank you. CC

The best and safest advise here would be to uninstall registry cleaners or your computer optimizers, because they can damage your system if you are not familiar with the windows registry. If you are facing some problems with your PC, then post a new thread and describe your problem in detail, then someone will be able to help.
If you want to improve the performance of the PC, and then use disk cleaner and is fragmenting tools built-in to windows. Also, take care to check your drive for errors if your PC is old or you have used a lot.
Make sure that this tool of de-fragment disc planned for once or twice a week depending on the use of the PC.

  • Impossible to uninstall Advanced Registry Optimizer as installation is corrupt

Original title: I'm trying to uninstall a program that says installation is corrupted: Advanced Registry Optimizer

The reason why I went to intall, it was because my computer settings changed suddenly and my computer says that I have a disconnected local connection: Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Eth. When I studied this program, I was prompted to install it - but it turned out to be the Advanced Registry Optimizer. First of all, I need this program? Second, how to uninstall an installer corrupt and three, why has it changed my settings? I guess the most pressing is to uninstall the program. But I'll take any help I can get.

Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:

    Restore point:

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  • What is WinZip Registry Optimizer?

Just noticed that WinZip Registry Optimizer launched a scan when I logged in my computer. I'm not aware, it came with the computer, or download it consciously. Is this dangerous or is it a good thing to have?

It is a third-party program that is not required for Windows 7.

    The registry needs no "value".

Here's my advice. Ignore what told you Registry Mechanic and get rid
    of this program.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.
    Read http://www.edbott.com/weblog/archives/000643.html

    and http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099

    and also

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Utilities Pro PC - Optimizer Pro

In the search for the 'Bank' on my HP Pavilion (windows 8) recommended for Apps (for a free program 'type of office'), I seem to have carried over to downloaded a piece of malware called PC Optimizer Pro at the same time.

    I tried to add/remove software n my control panel and also followed some info I found online on the deletion of the registry files however, I'm not 100% convinced that it is all removed, especially since when I did try and delete the software from the control panel I found myself with 4 files namely;

    OptProReminder.exe and OptProCrash.dll OptProCrash_x64.dll OptProCrashSvc.dll

When I try and delete these it is said that they are currently in use and cannot be deleted.

    Hi Amanda,.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problem with PC Optimizer Pro. I found a link to a forum of the third when the user boopme recommend Revo Uninstaller Freeware that worked for the original poster. As the Revo is not software HP that I can't really recommend that and use it at your own risk. It just seems to be the only solution that I can't find where you don't have to download a bunch of questionable software.

  • Software PC Optimizer based on CSSTidy

Just bought a new computer laptop 11 "and has been putting up. Did not much else that sorted on the USB stick recovery and initialize Microsoft Office, but now I have the PC Optimizer software that wants to save - what the hell is this because I have not downloaded, don't want and apparently, according to a few sources than its malaware! What is going on?  This is a new computer and I have been nowhere in terms of surfing the web!

    Hello Geofftitto,

Good question. I guess that optimizer PC came with the laptop as part of the additional software that HP adds to its systems.

Whether you use it or not is totally up to you. Personally I don't use any sort of optimization programs that need to run in the background of my system.

IF you don't, simply uninstall it. If you want to go a little more and get your geek on, use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall unwanted things on the operating system. Revo using the Windows uninstall program but are looking for the remaining files in the registry and others and will give you the option to delete them also. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

    Hi GothicLolita,

    1. when exactly you receive this popup? It is at the start or during the use of any specific application?

    2. What is the full error message you get?

You can read the following article and try to remove the program manually and see if it helps.

Important: The above article contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
