Wireless network adapter problems

I get problems with my wireless network card - when I lose connection troubleshoot them menu popup says there is a problem with no valid IP addresses and the adapter needs to be reset. This can happen several times a day - even if the adapter is then reset. Why is it so often when my partner on his mobile phone next to me and on the same network hub has no problem?

Hi David,

It would be possible that the installed on your computer wireless network adapter driver is outdated.

You can try to update the wireless network card drivers by visiting the manufacturer's Web site and check if that helps.

How can I troubleshoot network card?

Please post the results of the proposed measures.

  • Satellite P15-8409, Atheros wireless network adapter problem

Hello. I'm having a frustrating problem with an old laptop Satellite P15. I restored the phone to default settings using the recovery disk that the system was working very badly. After that, the wireless network adapter has stopped working. In the Device Manager "Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter" is marked with a yellow exclamation point. In the menu properties, under general, the State of the device the following is listed:

The device cannot find enough free resources that it can use (code 12)

The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition. The same problem has been present in SP1, SP2 and SP3. I also updated the BIOS to V2, but it also did not help.

At work, we use a wireless internet connection. At home, I have a DSL connection. Curiously, when I plugged the network cable to the House, the yellow exclamation mark disappeared and a wireless connection icon appeared in the network connections window. I assumed that the problem has been resolved by updating to Windows; However when I brought the computer in the office, the wireless adapter was once more in the State I described.

I searched the internet for the same problem, but was unable to find anything. I would be very happy to help.

    all the best,

    James

BIOS version is installed on your machine? And you have you recently changed some hardware etc...?

I don't know what it could be, but in the worst cases, the wlan card has certain shortcomings. You can check this by getting somewhere such an atheros wlan card or intel and install it instead of the one installed.

Maybe the exchange of cards should solve this problem?

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L750D-159: different problems: wireless network adapter, freezes, power

    Hi all

    2.5 years ago I bought L-750d-159:
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6520G (TM)
Wireless: Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network adapter
CPU: AMD A6 - 3400 M APU with graphics Radeon (TM) HD
    RAM: 4 GB
    OS: Windows 7 Home Edition SP1, 64-bit.
    BIOS: 2.1

For the majority of the last 2.5 years I had the same questions, alternating between them over and over again without solution in sight.

    Repetition of questions: *.
    1. wireless adapter goes dead, no help of the troubleshooter in windows. Only restart help to, rarely he demans restart another. at the same time #2 arrives:

    2. cannot read USB (IE external HARD disk). allows you to restart.

    3. wireless mouse does not respond. Randomly, reset help.

4 gel. Sometimes, when there is nothing running in the background. Of course, hard restart (only power button)

    5. office freeze.not always, but if he gets in the mood, he could go the days where minutes after I start the 'word' it would just freeze. Hard reset again.

    6. "atikmpag' blue screen. After not having it for a long time, I started just have it again.

7 power supply and battery issues:

    7.1 with battery:
Suddenly load stops. disconnect and reconnect do not help.
Fresh only when the computer is turned off.

    7.2 without battery:
Instant stop. Usually when you use Chrome.

These issues are alternating, everyday sense I get something else, without a prescription for them that I noticed.

    * How to try to remedy: *.
    1. updated all the drivers for the toshiba page.
    [Page drivers Toshiba | http://www.toshiba.co.il/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp]

    2. update the BIOS. I do this cotton after having feeding problems, not so useful.

    3. formatting and reinsalled Windows 7 to factory settings.

I am sure that there is a solution out there, the computer itself works fine for me (when it works) and I will not buy a new one, until it falls dead (I could give a year or two).

Are you guys famliar with these questions?

Here are the proven solutions for this model?

    > 1. Wireless adapter goes dead, no help of the troubleshooter in windows. Only restart help to, rarely he demans restart another.

WLan problems could appear for different reasons. I don t think that it is a WLan driver problem. I think that you should just check the WiFi configuration.
For example, you should check whether changing the WiFi 1-11 channel would improve performance. Also change the settings for encryption (WPA/WP2-AES, TKIP) is worth trying.
Turn off all the settings for the WLan to save energy and check if there is a difference if you turn off the WLan mouse.

    > 2. Cannot read USB (IE external HARD disk). allows you to restart.
Also the issue of USB can be related to energy saving settings.
In the Device Manager-> USB Controllers-> properties-> tab power management option that allows the system to power off the device to save power.

    > blue screen "atikmpag. After not having it for a long time, I started just have it again.
This file/process is tied to the ATI graphics card. Try to use the latest graphics card driver. An update is recommended in this case.

    Battery issues:
Well, sooner or later each battery must be replaced. I put t know if your battery is malfunctioning but probably new battery would help to resolve the issue
In addition, to remove and uninstall the device control method battery Microsoft acpi located in Device Manager.

  • The Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter has driver - or hardware problems

It's for my laptop Acer Aspire V3 - 771G who has internet CONNECTION problems. I was able to connect fine until windows 8, now I can only connect using the hard line. I ran a bunch of updates, driver downloads and etc means for this model directly on the Acer website for the upgrade of windows 7 to 8 and I had no chance.  However, this message appears when I try to fix the problems of network adapter "the Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network adapter adapt knows driver - or hardware-related problems".  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I FIXED IT ALL! :) Simply drag or type at the top right of your screen to open the SEARCH option. Research of Control Panel. Click MANAGE the DEVICES.  Now, you can either search for the driver who is broken or defective write his name uninstall, and then reinstall it from the web (recommended to go to page creator ex; atheros was mine so I have downloaded from them.)  If you have no W/LAN driver then go to your website of the laptop manufacturers and find the necessary driver for your model :) I HOPE THIS HAS HELPED!

    Hello

Check with Dell and Broadcom, their documentation diagnostics online and drivers.
and ask questions in the forums about known problems. The two Dell driver update, then
Broadcom if there is more recent.

    More troubleshooting:

It is possible that the drivers you use, even if later now available, are not
100% Windows compatible 8.1. Check with the manufacturer of your system (motherboard support
Manufacturer of custom systems) and/or the manufacturer of the device. This one, like Intel,
RealTek, Atheros and others may have newer versions is not available to the mother of system
-site of the manufacturer on board. And continue to check in with them regularly over the next year.
Also update the BIOS, drivers from the chipset of low level and major embedded and separate
    device drivers.

Don't forget to check the updates of the firmware on the router, because who can have a definite effect

Check with support of the manufacturer of the system (motherboard for customized systems manufacturer) and/or
the manufacturer of real device driver updates. If there is no newer versions re - install the same
ones. Ask known in their forums (if any) problems.

  • Disabled wireless network adapter

The wireless network adapter in my desktop Pavilion (WE167AA under Windows 7 Home Premium) maintains have turned off. This can be fixed about half of the time by running the troubleshooter from network problems, but the rest of the time, the PC freezes during troubleshooting.

The problem occurred only in the last two weeks, after nearly four years of perfect operation. I have no manual changes to configurations. Unfortunately I do not have a system restore point from before the show began. Performance on other wireless devices in the same room are very good, so I don't know that this is not a problem with the wireless itself.

But unfortunately, the page provides no details on the integrated WLan module.

However, all the drivers are available here:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/...download?OS=32
and the Atheros WLan driver win 8.1 has the version number: 10.0.0.308

  • Satellite L50D-B-146 - wireless network adapter drops the Wi - Fi connection

    Hi all

I have a problem with the wireless (Broadcom adapter) card, it randomly falls free wifi for no apparent reason (I disabled the modules breast win 7 energy saving etc).

Running the diagnostics of material in the latest Toshiba/Broadcom driver package has given everything going on with the exception of the SPROM checksum failure.

Is this a sign of faulty hardware? is it possible to reflash the SPROM with the correct data?

Thanks a lot for all helo,.

    > Is this a sign of faulty hardware? is it possible to reflash the SPROM with the correct data?
I think you're on the wrong track
If the wireless network adapter is listed and recognized correctly in Device Manager, then the WLan driver has been installed correctly.

The sporadic WLan disconnection problems could be related to different reasons that are:
    WLan router compatibility problem
Configuration of the router (kind of encryption WPA WPA2, TKIP, AES)
    WiFi signal strength

I recommend you to reset the Wlan router.
Then you test the performance of Wlan using unsecured wireless (of course only for testing purposes)
Then test the different encryption settings.
Also test the laptop with or without the power adapter connected.

  • On V6302AU (V6000 Series) wireless network adapter

I had no problem with my front wireless (and run wireless of my sister is not the network).  Now, when I turn on my computer the wireless signal turns blue and the icon says he's working.  However, my computer does not recognize all wireless networks.  The Windows Network Diagnostics indicates that the computer has an installed and configured wireless network adapter.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver wireless lan broadcom for vista on the compact site, but that did not help.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

I took my computer to my friends shop, sent it to HP and they replaced the part.  It took a few weeks and cost about NZ$ 80.  Problem solved.

    Take it to a professional!

  • Atheros AR5004G wireless network adapter

    Hello

I own a Toshiba Satellite P30 Bios version 1.30, XP SP2, and I've been very happy with it until recently.

Since a few weeks I meet from time to time system crash, the computer crashes: does not react on the keyboard, screen freezes and only by pressing the power button for 30 seconds for a total power down allows. Fans spin again. Sometimes, after a such restart on diagnosis (before Windows starts) display the following message can be read: resource conflict - PCI network in the Groove 3 controller. Bus: 02; Feature: 02; Function: 00.
It is the only PCI card that has my system.

There was no material added to the system, the message is quite strange. Wait a few minutes and turn it back on it cause do not receive this message. Also helps dismantle the card wireless built-in, wait a second and mount it again.

When I use the computer connected to the LAN via a network cable, while radio signals are turned off, the problem not more occurs. When I disable the Atheros AR5004G Wireless Network Adapter in Windows, the problem is not to be produced.

There is no message in the event viewer.

I do not use recovery Toshiba OS, but Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 installed by our system administrator. The same Setup worked without a problem for about 3 months. After that I met the problem I tried to reinstall the drivers and software for the network adapter wireless since the original CD from Toshiba, but not helped.

I use the Atheros Client Utility version 3.1.2.19
Version of the driver name AR5211, C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ar5211.sys, 3.1.2.12.

I saw another user, peter-jaap mentioned on this forum a few weeks earlier the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Laszlo

    Hi Laszlo

In my opinion, there is a hardware conflict. You said that you have this problem for a few weeks. Do you have some changes or install software? This laptop comes with Windows XP SP2 home edition, and all the drivers that you have on CD tools & utilities are fit to work properly with SP2.

It's very strange that for awhile in particular this issue occurred. If you disable the network adapter in Device Manager you can use the card wireless without problems?

All drivers and tools on the recovery CD are adapted to work correctly with the laptop and it can sometimes be a big problem to prepare the laptop on your own with some specific configuration. In my opinion if there is no solution to your problem, you must contact partner in your country.

  • Satellite C660 - 2 7 - wireless network card problem or not?

A couple of days, that I dropped my laptop maybe 3-5 inches above the ground and he hit the brick of charger with a small thunk. I have use it again until the next day and since then, internet connection has been patchy, at best, for the most part drops every 3-4 minutes (he always considers it is connected for awhile, but no page doesn't load and Skype shows no connection) and slow when you are connected.

Running the tool to diagnose windows usually resets the wireless network adapter, also tells me reset the router and will often complain of DNS...connectivity/nameservers/something of this type, usually that they one after another, what is the problem is not really clear. This problem only occurs on the floor and everything seems fine down (the router is downstairs, but is not really further and is located next to the open staircase), but as it was only a few days, this could just be lucky and not relevant. Also the internet connection (ISP, BT terrible btw) has been terrible lately in general, have been on the phone to BT about it several times to complain with no improvement (because they have not done anything).

Thus, it + pourrait + just to be the internet connection, I really only has not let down any high rise (it was a landslide while reaching to position it on the ground), he is poor at the moment and reset the router seems to have an effect, but does then reset the wireless network adapter (temporarily) and timing is a bit co accessory. I think that this is probably the Ondaaah just lost, but I'm not an expert or a techie and this is my first windows laptop to... Well, never! And I could be totally off. It is also been connected all the time that I was typing without problem, but I got it with the keyboard tilted up slightly to rest.

Can anyone help? I don't want to get it looked at if nothing is wrong (especially if it's just BT once again, I'm about to give them up for another access provider), but I don't want to leave if it needs fixing and find it does any connect. Even a "Yes, it could be that" or "no, it won't be this" kind of reply would help ^^

    * Edit I ran the Toshiba assist, diagnostic tools and it passed all the tests by default, but he will try next time stops internet connection (probably soon)

What is with the local network connection? Have you noticed similar problems link your laptop by using the LAN connection?

    Test it and send feedback.

At least, you can install original recovery image and test the feature with the factory settings.

  • Wireless network adapter does not work on my Satellite A200

    Hello

My wireless network adapter does not work under Vista. If I press FN + F8 nothing happens. Wireless communication is always offline.

    What can I do?

    Details:
    Typ: Atheros AR5008X Version: 7.2.0.164
    Laptop Satellite 200
    PSAE6E

    Please help me!
    Thanks in advance!

BIOS bug? I don t think so

First of all, you must make sure that this isn't a hardware problem. In this case, insert the Toshiba Recovery CD and reinstall the operating system of this device. This will outline the laptop to factory settings. Notes; This would format the whole HARD drive.

After the new installation, you must activate the WLan switch on the side of books, and you can then use the switch button FN + F8 to select the WiFi network.

I assume that you have already configured your Wlan router. So the same settings such as the SSID, encryption of WLan, etc. must be defined on the laptop too.

  • Blitzz Super G PCI wireless network adapter works only in Windows XP SP3

I looked for answers to this, and it seems that all they are pointing to the same question. Grave wireless network adapter failed after the Service Pack 3 update. My question is the same thing, I can't get the updated drivers (I have the original installation software, but they face STOP Installation) at some point, the OS would hurt identify the device that the atheros wireless network adapter and it worked but now nothing. Right now, I would like some clarification.

    1. how to fix this?
    2. why Microsoft has not fixed the problem? If it worked in SP2, why don't you just restore the defective file. I understand the WLANAPI. DLL is the main culprit and yet once wonder why neglect?

    Thank you in advance,

The watch supplier Atheros (the VEN_168C bit) link which you already knew and the Netgear WPN311 above (the DEV_0013 bit) device. If the database is to be believed, I guess Blitzz were product badging Netgear or at least using the same chip.

    Netgear drivers can help...
