  In my opinion ConfigFree is one of the best utilities offered by Toshiba. This utility is pre-installed, I think, on all models of laptops Windows XP Home edition, and I can't imagine that there is a bug.

It is very interesting that you wrote on update. Sorry but I checked the original version and the version offered on the Toshiba download page, and they are absolutely identical (ConfigFree V5.00.45).

  I use two Toshiba laptops, both with WXP and I use the CofigFree version that is included in the recovery image. It works perfectly and I see no reason for update (if this update exists, but I don't believe that).
