With L520 screen resolution problem

So I got my L520 (78595AG) today and to my disappointment the max screen resolution I could achieve was only 1366 x 768. One of the reasons why I chose to buy this laptop was precisely because of HD +. I tried to remove the old drivers and reinstall the new, but to no avail. The computer is fully up to date (ThinkVantage and Windows).

Any suggestions?

As far as I know, the only thing I have not tried yet is updated the BIOS, but right now I am running version 8GET33WW (1.10).

If the problem occurred after you plugged into your phone. I suggest to perform a restore of the system automatically, put it on a date 2 days before you had the problem. If this isn't the case, you can check the video card driver:

    Start > run > devmgmt.msc
Check your video card driver or see if there are any missing drivers
If its lack, then update or install the driver of your video card.

  • Problems with the screen resolution, Cloud based software and Photoshop after the last round of updates Windows 8.1.

    Original title: screen resolution problems.

Since the last series of Windows 8.1 update the resolution of my monitors has been changed for the worse. I use an AOC 2367 M (resolution 1920 x 1080) as my first monitor and a 42 inch Sony Bravia (resolution 1920 x 1080) as my 2nd monitor. The changes are more noticeable on the Sony Bravia and any adjustment I make to the resolution only make worse it.

I also have problems with some software clouds as I load using citrix and when I try and navigate once opened software, I can't because the pointer selects a point about 50 mm on the side of the where he is hovering. In fact it is very difficult to open and close as anything and I resorted to the laptop to get concrete results.

Photoshop now also comes up with a message when I open it up to inform me that the monitor profile seems to be defective.

Any suggestions would be helpful as I thought initially an another upgrade must follow to correct the ills of windows 8, but appears not to have happened.

  • Satellite C70 - A - 16 L - screen resolution problem

    Hello

    I recently had a screen resolution problem with my laptop (C70 - A - 16 L).
The max screen resolution which is imparted to me is 1366 x 768, whereas before I think he used 1600 x 900.

I tried the latest drivers, Bios, etc. and have also restored the operating system to a previous backup, as well as a new installation.
I also tried to roll back to Windows 7 (with proper drivers). They all offer the same problem.

This new maximum resolution display correctly - as if the LCD does not deal with the timings of 1366 x 768.
I believe that the Panel is OK and the problem he reports the EDID information properly - to force windows to use the new resolution.

Is there a download monitor.inf file that can be used to bypass the EDID reported by the Panel?

    Kind regards

    Antwist.

If the right to display drver is usually installed everything should be OK.

I have a dell latitude d630 2.5 GHz computer laptop under XP Professional 64-bit operating system.  The screen resolution will not be set above 680 x 480, and when I try to increase the computer stops with a black screen message that don't stay long enough onscreen to read.  Dell advised that they don't or support this machine with the XP operating system and that they have no drivers or other fixes for the problem.  I hope that you will be able to help and thank you.

    Hi dduck11,

    ·         What is the default screen of the laptop resolution?

You need to update the graphics (video) drivers for the laptop. I see that there are Windows XP drivers available for the same thing. Download and install the updated drivers to see if it helps.

  • Screen resolution problems (Windows 10)

I downloaded the latest trial 9 Captivate for Windows 10 and screen resolution problems. Basically, making the software unusable. A lot of screens and dialog boxes seems larger than the current window, they are in, making the right and downstairs parts invisible window (usually, this is where the 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons for example).

I'm Captivate on a laptop running 64-bit Windows 10 (Sony Vaio with an NVidia GT 640 M map graphic with the latest drivers)

Does anyone know how to fix this? Here are some examples:

    captivate1.PNG

    captivate2.PNG

    captivate4.PNG

    No retina.

What is the size of the police on? Win10, it is often larger than 100%, which is not really necessary for your resolution, but that's a retina display. I am using Captivate on Win10, but Surface Pro and laptop have a retina display.

Hello, I recently designed this Web site and the formatting isn't correct when read with different screen resolutions

Just so you know, and to keep clear wire, the resolution got nothing to do with the result by your page or is formatted.  A given page appear exactly the same on any screen resolution requirement to retain the same value in pixels the width of the browser.  This is the variation of the width of a screen to another resolution which causes the difference.  And Yes, it's the fact that you used absolute positioning as a method of main layout that is the problem for the reason that JTANNA has already been mentioned.

Now - how do you want your page to behave?  Do you want to be centered and fixed width (that would be the easiest).  In this case, change this.

    on this subject.

    and this-

    on this subject.

Now, all your containers AP reposition so that the page is again aligned the way you want, and you're done.

  • Images with lower screen resolutions on Tecra M5 unclear

    Hello

We have a few M5s with graphics card Intel that works perfectly with the screen resolution of 1024 * 768 usual.
Now we buy some new ones equipped with nVidia Quadro M5s, and they seem to have a native resolution of 1400 * 1050.

If I try to measure the resolution 1024 * 768 or 1280 * 1024, the images are badly blurred. But I think that the icons to 1400 * 1050 on a 14 "screen are really too small for the average users.

    No solution?
    Thank you

Tecra M5 comes with three different views. If you buy one with a higher resolution display, resolution reduced with photo dimmish results.

Sorry but there is nothing to do. For example, you can connect external monitor with lower resolution.

  • Page of Yahoo mail that says 'there a screen resolution problem". A in case of problems with all stakeholders, even all the browsers. The question is Firefox!

I have the latest version of Yahoo mail. When I click on the link "mail" of my Yahoo homepage, he directs me to a page that reads, "There is a problem of screen resolution". In the body of this page, it explains how to fix the problem. BUT, I don't have a problem with the resolution - the screen resolution should be 1024 x 600 or greater and IT IS! This only happens with YOUR browser. I have Chrome and IE, neither of which is a problem. I worked with a representative of the yahoo mail support and he explains that it IS a problem with Firefox and for raise you awareness and fix the problem - I use a Vista operating system on a computer and Windows 7 on my other computer, which has the same problem, so we KNOW for sure, it's a Firefox issue.

I don't think that the effects of this question all those who use Firefox because I'm able to visit Yahoo Mail without any problems. I would say that to reset the zoom of the page on the page, this issue occurs on. You can do these steps go to view > Zoom > reset or press (Ctrl + 0 (zero).

  • with dv 9500 Screen resolution problems

Can someone help me with the problem of screen resolution. It's all out of proportion. I tried all the possible functions of resettlement to the factory setting, update drivers and play with the setting of the resolution. Nothing helps. I have my laptop for 15 months and I can't return the resolution of the initial screen. I reduced the resolution 1268 x 600. I can barely see the scroll bar, but its size is reduced by 1/4. A black band on the top of the screen. Everything works well except the settling of display is not working properly. I spoke with 3 HP technical support online and they all give the same advice, but none of them have worked so far.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem without having to spend a fortune on spare parts?

    1. right click on your "DESKTOP" and choose 'CUSTOMIZE' at the bottom of the pop-up window

2 - Select the last item "DISPLAY SETTINGS."

    3. give me your setting (number of pixels) by dragging the slider to "LOW", "LOW RESOLUTION" also give your monitor and the name of the graphic card located under the photo in the display settings tab

  • With Dreamweaver cs4 screen resolution problem?

I am looking to buy Dreamweaver CS4 but my screen resolution is 1366 x 768. I get the impression that the program won't display properly or show all tabs.  Is this correct or can I do something?

Why do you intend to buy Dreamweaver CS4? It was released in 2008, is largely obsolete and isn't is more formally supported by Adobe. Also, be very careful about buying software from an unknown retailer. There have been several reports in this forum recently about the program works does not or does not accept not not the serial number. In any case, it turns out that they had bought a cracked version. Instead of getting a good deal, they have lost all their money and risk to install malicious software.

That said, the resolution of the screen referred to in the conditions of the program is only a recommendation. You can use any version of Dreamweaver on a screen of 1366 x 768. It's a compression, but it works.

  • Portege 7220 screen resolution problem

I recently bought a laptop portege 7220 and windows me was installed until I can get more ram added for win xp. The problem I have is that the screen resolution is set at 16 bit color and it is stuck in resolution 800 x 600. I can't go to 1024 x 768 pixels. So instead of having a display full screen, everything is displayed in a small box on the screen. I have tried to install the drivers from the toshiba site and even have local pc tech shop trying to fix it, but to no avail. Does anyone know how I can sort this problem because it's a great laptop and I want just full screen to work. Thanks for reading and any advice/info on the left.

Hi, this must be a driver issue; your 7220 native resolution is 1024 x 768, that's why 800 x 600 is displayed in a window

I suggest that you switch to Windows 2000, it works perfectly on a 7220 and has the lower memory requirements than XP
In W2k there is most appropriate drivers available and with the drivers from the toshiba site, your problem should be solved

BTW: Make sure that your BIOS settings are good (especially the "extended-mode display"), you should consider updating your BIOS to the latest version

  • Alignment of thread with different screen resolutions

I noticed that block diagram wire positions/alignments can change, sometimes significantly, by switching to screens with different resolutions.  There is a ton of information on the maintenance of the proportions on the front panel as the solution of problems, but I can't find how to mitigate the problem with the wires on the block diagram.  Does anyone know how to best handle this?

    Thank you!

    crossrulz wrote:

I never noticed the block schema change due to screen resolutions.  I saw this kinds of problems during the change of system fonts.  For example, switching from XP to Win7 meant go to police Aero, which is a font more great than XP used to its default system font.

That's what I noticed as well.

The solution is to set the blockdiagram fonts in the LabVIEW.ini be specific font rather than a system font.
