  I have a PITA instrument that I need to communicate with in a system of greater control.  This instrument communicates via RS232 to a server running on the PC OEM application.  In order to communicate with the instrument, I have to use the TCP protocol on a specific port on Localhost - So far so good as long the protcol is answer command.

  The problem is that the instrument sends several messages asynchronously of different sizes with a double newline as a tank of termination (there are many CR/LFS all these messages so that they cannot be a MOE) and I am struggling to find a way to manage receive asynchronous messages of variable length with a cusom CHARACTER term. without having simply a fast dedicated for TCP loop reads trying to catch these asynchronous status messages.

  I wish the functions VISA TCP has worked with the local host, given that the properties that can be set to change the chariot of non-standard term.

• The guide to "Help and Support Center" installed for Windows XP Media Center 2004 is largely outdated and must be updated.

  I have version Dell of Windows Media Center 2005 (service pack 3) installed on my XPS 600 desktop computer.  The installed Help and Support Center guide date for use with Windows Media Center 2004 and has never been updated to include most of the changes system over the past six years. Dell or Microsoft should be responsible for the update of the guides or instructions that are installed on the operating system. Not only that, but Media Center and Movie Maker themselves also grossly neglected as updates are concerned.
  The currently installed Help and Support Center guide is missing details on significant changes to Windows applications and utilities.  I rely on up-to-date information to make changes to my OS applications and utilities.  There is a lot of information in this guide that is incomplete and misleading and therefore not very reliable.
  I have an OEM of Windows XP version and I wonder if there is an update of current or replacement for this system guide and who is responsible for the update.

  Nothing in XP will be updated. The current Windows operating system is Windows 7. XP is already three iterations of the windows behind. A great substitute for the XP search feature (which was never very good) is Agent free Ransack.

• I have a problem with the touch screen of Sony.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Sony All In One with touchscreen. For about 4 weeks, I got a problem with weird things happening on the screen. For example, I can use any application and it will automatically become minimized and I'm now looking at the level of the office. Other times on keyboard screen will appear in itself. Do not know what is happening, but it sure is frustrating the heck out of me. Answer from Sony is that I put the computer back to factory settings, thus losing my files and programs. Is there a way I can back up the system and retrieve my programs from the backup. I don't know if I can find my original downloads, including Office 2010.

  Two years ago, I bought a Nook reader and set up on my computer with adobe identification code using my friend's e-mail address (I didn't know DRM etc right there). Now, I bought a Sony ereader for myself and Sony Reader library software installed on my computer, and apparently she associated this adobe id old (I didn't know that when I was upgrading my player account library and sony) my Sony eReader account. When my wife opened the Sony ereader, it asks password for adobe (the old adobe id) id. We did not know the implications, so we've entered the password (we got our friend) for this old adobe id (which is the e-mail address of my friend).  He accepted the password (apparently my friend never did anything with this adobe id), but now I have two problems:

  (1) my drive is associated with the e-mail address of my friend (like the adobe id). I can't continue to use than ever.

  (2) my computer is Windows XP purchased four years back and it is not reconginizing my sony ereader (says: USB deivce is not recognized).

  For now, I want to solve the first problem: so, my question is, how do I change the identification code adobe associated with my Sony eReader device (and our reader sony account) to my own identification code Adobe?  And then, how can I have my own identification code Adobe active on my computer?

  Fortunately, I have not bought books yet. But I want to get books from my library. Of course, the question of the USB is something I need to find a solution for. But I could just buy another computer.

  In order to solve the problem on the subject of Adobe ID, you can follow the steps as suggested below.

  (1) open Adobe Digital Editions and connect your player to
  Press Ctrl + Shift + E on your keyboard.
  Now a screen Deauthorize will appear asking you to withdraw the authorization of your player.
  Follow the instructions on the screen and ban the player.

  Now press Ctrl + Shift + D keys on your keyboard.
  Now a screen Deauthorize will appear asking you to Deauthorize your computer.
  Follow the instructions on the screen and unauthorized to the computer.

  Click Start > run and type "Regedit" without the quotes in the box
  A window opens with the name of the registry editor
  Research of FOLLOWER in a given location.
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Adobe > Adept
  Remove the complete file

  Now open Digital Editions and it will ask you to enter your new Adobe ID and password.

  Now plug in your player and he will again allow you enter your Adobe ID and password.
