  I had a long discussion with a Support Agent and finally solved my problem in activating my root user... after a lot of trial and error/attemtpts. Here is my summary just fyi, I hope this works for you also.

  I'm on MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5.

  1. They had me first go to ~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE and delete the file 'opm.db '... Creative cloud question remained.
  2. Then they asked me to go to support/Adobe ~/Library/Applications and rename the files "AAMUpdater" and "OOBE"... and go to the library/application support/Adobe (note this is a different path) and remane the files "AAMupdater" and "AAMupadaterInventory"... question remained.
  3. They had me also go to my Netwrok Prefrences, Proxy server to configure, and enusre all boxes are unchecked and "use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" also unchecked... did not help, the question remained.
  4. Of course they had me uninstall and then reinstall the creative cloud application, which I did (Applications > utilities > Adobe installer and run the "uninstall Creative Cloud")... but the question remianed.
  5. Finally, they had me to visit this page on the Apple support page, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and activated the user root for OS X Lion.
     1. After allowing the root user (and create a new password for it), I rebooted my Mac
     2. Saved in my Mac once as 'root' and connected to Adobe Creative Cloud using my usual Adobe user/email name and password.
     3. Go to the 'Applications' tab, and it worked perfectly!
     4. I disconnected the root on my Mac, then that reconnected me.
     5. Launched the creative application of Cloud, connected and went to 'Apps'... works great!

  If you have installed cs6 install the subscription, it will capture your license CS6. Common sense would have been to disable CS6 before install CC as CS6 contains its own (and better kind) CS6 software with more upgrades and possibilities than the old version in a box.

  If you can not install CS6 with your own serial number for this reason, you will need to contact Adobe to reset the activations.

  I've written before last week. I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 11 and Adobe Premiere elements 11.

  I had a trial version of Photoshop elements 11 and with the code I could access the full version.

  
  However, Premiere Elements did not open after installation. I have a trial version, so I downloaded the full program. I went through the installation process and everything seemed ok, no error message. But when I tried to open Adobe Premiere Elements after you restart the computer, it did not open at all. Nothing happened.
  I uninstalled and reinstalled the program for a couple of times over and over again, but no result. Also tried to download the free trial first, and also it does not work. I checked my Quicktime and updated to the latest version.

App reopened this morning and nothing went up, no new window, no error message, no light 'walk' on the dock; but, if you click on it showed the "Application does not message." After a few re-openings, it's the message even 'Messages is updated"as above.

  I have not tried anything other than a restart.

  Any ideas on what to try? Thank you in advance!

  Microsoft sent me a pop up invitation to upgrade my computer window 8 for windows 8.1 that I accepted and downloaded today. Unfortunately the requests that I had on my windows 8 screen will not open except for requests relating to office 365 and google. Can someone help me?

  I don't have phone customer support Microsoft, who said that they would not help me unless I paid. I bought my computer about a month ago, but they said the warranty was expired for windows 8. I'll take that up with the company that sold it for me. However the fact that Microsoft asked me to upgrade today, that I accepted in good faith, and subsequently my worst computer than before and offering no help leaving me repair free of charge is outrageous.

  The pop up came when I was working on my emails with no other applications open.

  Good news. After turning my computer off at night and restarting this morning all the apps work correctly. Somehow the problem fixed itself.

  I recently bought an iphone 64 GB (2 weeks ago) running IOS 9.3.1 6s. It seems that my phones screen sometimes does not respond (except form slide it down or screen) I tap to open applications, and nothing happens, you can check the vid I posted a better idea.   I already have my phone for repair when I bought form because it has a 1 year warranty and they did not find anything and just reset and reinstalled completely iOS. But the problem persists.

  Can it be an IOS 9.3.1 glitch? Should I wait for the next update of iOS?  Should I take my phone for repair requiring them to change my phone completely since this will be the 2nd time this has happened?

  Can someone help me with my creative cloud application? I installed, downloaded and tried to open it but it will not open at all

  Oh Mac, I don't think that firewall will be WE or it will make this issue, if it is on, turn it off and check once.

  The important thing is, after you double click Adobe Creative Cloud app file, check if the cloud icon appears on the menu bar and disappears inside one or 2seconds?
