  I tried to use Netflix in Vista Windows Media Center (WMC) last night and got an error. The error says I need to check your internet connection.  I checked the connection and it worked.  Also in IE8 I logged into my Netflix account and released a video of my Instant queue.  This proves that my internet connection and a Netflix account working. I tried to re-login to Netflix of WMC, but once again the message on checking the internet connection appears.  I restarted the PC, but that did not fix the problem. Netflix I uninstalled and reinstalled, no not yet fixed.  Can anyone help?  I've been a happy user of WMC-Netflix for several months (so far).  Notice, 2 security patches Windows automatically installed yesterday before I tried to use Netflix.

  I just noticed that NetFlix had started working again for me with Windows Media Center. Mysteriously, as if by magic... it seems to have fixed itself after just a few weeks!

• Error in Script WMC Netflix running on Windows 7 x 64

  I get the following error message when I try to play a movie in the Netflix WMC component plug-in software:

  It comes to the top before showing scenes from movie downloaded (before play, after clicking on play).  After you click Yes to continue to play the script, the film plays normally.

  I searched this error and found a few suggestions.  I uninstalled and re-installed Silverlight, no help.  I deleted all temporary files in Internet Explorer, without help.  I have set IE to default security and unchecked report all errors script, no help.

  All the Add-ons and all software are up to date.  This is a under Win 7 x 64 and using WMC HTPC.  I should point out that I acquired recently this script error problem, in recent weeks.  Is it possible a Microsoft update caused this?  Maybe an update to Silverlight?

  Thanks for the reply.  I didn't have time to try your suggestion because I've been very busy at work.  While home briefly, I had several Windows updates waiting to be done, so I got them and now the error has disappeared.  I have no idea what it was that the correction of the error, but among the latest Windows updates has apparently had an effect on this error.  There were no other changes that could be fixed.  I keep all the plugins and extensions update, maybe one of these recent updates has had an impact.  Sorry I couldn't get narrowed down.

  I just applied for the free trial and tried to open a session.  I get the error message "there was a problem of signing.  Check the operation of your internet connection and try again"when trying to connect to Netflix in Windows Media Center.  I checked the connection and Media Center confirms that it is working.  I can also use netflix in my browser, so I know it works.  Any suggestions?

• Customer of WMC Netflix won't let me connect you.

  My actions trying to diagnose the problem tell me through the various accidents something in WMC is damaged and is which is not allowing me to log-in to my Netflix account.  I would appreciate any help/suggestions to solve the problem - preferably without having to re - format and install a fresh installation of windows I have recently re-load vista on my desktop.

  Create a new user account and check if you can connect to Netflix using this account.

  1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, then clicking on user accounts.
  2. click on manage another account.   If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. click on create a new account.
  4. type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type (Administrator), and then click on create an account.

• WMC Netflix Plugin - "we are unable to authenticate your request.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.  I installed the plugin of Netflix for Windows Media Center from Microsoft.  I am able to log in and view my queue without problem.  When I click on the movie to watch, I get a black screen.  In the black screen is a box with a red line with a black title bar that reads "Authorization failure" and a grey message box dark which reads "our apologies - we could not authenticate this request".

  I made sure I have do operate newest silverlight, stable (not beta)... that I downloaded from the "Automatic download" section of the task in WMC.  I added *. Netflix.com to my sites of confidence in IE8 and I have no special characters in my e-mail with Netflix.

  I use Windows Security Essential as my security software.

  I have no problem watching all the streaming content with IE8 on the Netflix site, just with the Media Center.  Please help with a fix.

  What I've done so far:

  Disabled WMC in functions
  clear the contents of the c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome
  uninstall the netflix plugin
  restarted the computer
  WMC is enabled in the functions
  redownloaded go in WMC all updates
  redownloaded go in WMC the Netflix plugin
  IE8 open as admin and started to watch the movie
  closed from IE8 &
  connected to Netflix via the plugin for the WMC and always get the same error

  OK, got it figured out!   Go to this site http://www.netflix.com/ThirdPartyAccess and remove access to media centers. Run Media Center and connect to Netflix.  Start a movie and it must authenticate the pop up a window for re.  What amazes me is I called Netflix support and they insisted, there was nothing they could do and it was a Microsoft problem. I'm not berating the support partner, it it not his fault. The fault lies squarely on MANAGEMENT support and the knitting-whits that fail to develop a halfway decent support system.

  Hello, I have a Dell Studio 1537 64-bit operating system with Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. The problem that I have after clicking on the icon of Netflix in WMC, which prompted an installation of Netflix and Microsoft Silverlight, the icon has disappeared!

• WMC Netflix: bottom right control bar disappeared

  I m using Netflix in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Media Center. Everything was fine, until, in recent days, the lower right corner of the control bar (volume, ff,...) disappeared during playback. If I hit the upper left back button to return to the Netflix menu, the movie continues as always in small mode.   WMC has done its own updates, completely separated from Windows itself.  You will see the green icon of the WMC (with an arrow pointing down) in the clock system tray when they you download.

  But on a positive note, the controls are back!  I don't know exactly when they came back, but I noticed them again this morning!  Are they for everyone?  If this is not the case, try to do the manual update of the WMC, it will work if all goes well.
