You can try to reset media library of WMP, following the instructions for WMP 11 on XP at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary . Note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too. Tim Baets

  • Error: Accounting information is not complete. Some required fields are not filled out correctly.

Before I left to go on vacation, my Acrobat Pro XI worked perfectly. No hiccups, no errors, etc. Now that I'm back and I need to print a PDF in it, I constantly get an error message appear when I hit the "print" key.

The accounting data are not complete. Some required fields are not filled out correctly.

I don't know what this message means because I went through all imaginable areas in the menu printing, nothing helps. I checked tools, sign, comments, everything I can think of to try and see what the field is not filled correctly, but nothing fits. From now on, I can't print anything at all of Acrobat Pro and I really need to get this print for a meeting later today. So if someone could try to help, I appreciate it. Thank you.

If the problem comes from the printer driver. While IT worked on my machine Friday, they have updated the driver and it automatically sets the posting to Enabled. Now that he is set to disabled, I can print without problem. So I guess it's fixed for now and if it comes back I know exactly what to look for.

  • iTunes can't locate some of my music files. Places seems to be the same however. Help?

My old motherboard itself killed a few weeks ago and I finally had time to take out the hard drive and transfer all my files over to my new laptop. The old and the new have been / are running the same version of Windows 10.

I met a strange problem with iTunes (version 12.4.3) locate all my music files now. When I transferred the old files to the new computer, I did it without changing anything. All iTunes folders and subfolders are together just as they were before and so are my music from Amazon and other music files (some from other music sites, more old torn records). Nothing has changed on the level where it was stored, or how files or albums have been appointed, only the computers themselves. I literally just plugged the old hard drive, dragged all the subfolders in my music in the main folder of music on the old pC to the new folder of music from PCs and went on my way. I'm looking for the files on the old HARD drive and comparing them to the new computer and all are exactly the same.

iTunes was no a problem of localization of music and videos in the folder iTunes at all, but it seems to refuse locate others, at least automatically. He finds some of the things Amazon, but not all, and it goes the same for ripped files. It seems to be forcing me to go through and individually, select it "!" marked songs/videos to find them manually on my computer. When I select the option automatically search and find other missing files, it tells me that iTunes could not locate the other missing files in 2000. This happens even with full albums that are located in the same folder. For example, I have a Florence + the Machine album, I bought from Amazon and all songs have been marked as being absent, so I found one of the songs manually in the album folder on my PC where are all the other songs on the album, but iTunes could not find the other songs on this album, even on its own. Normally this wouldn't be a problem and I'd go just to do one by one, but for 2000 files, it's a big enough problem. I'll be sitting here all night or add more just each individual file, even if many are together.

I'm not sure what is the problem, but I'd like an overview of how I could speed up the process from here. I pourrait delete all photos of does to and re-add-the, but that represents only ~ 500 files, the majority is the singular songs and because I can't seem to sort my files missing library I always face the boredom.

The problem of 'missing file' with exclamation points occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl-I to get information, then click on no when asked to try to locate the runway. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works. It may need some adjustments if your media is in a non-standard layout.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

  • Cancellation of Apple's music has grayed out some songs from iTunes game

    Background:

    • I use iTunes game.
    • All the songs in my library have been downloaded by me.
    • I tried Apple's music for a while and then cancelled.

    Question:

    • Some of the songs that I downloaded in my subscription of Apple's music are now gray out and unable to be played.
    • On the iPhone (and previously on my Mac) I wonder to renew my subscription to Apple's music when I try to read them.
    • It seems that iTunes thinks that these are songs from Apple's music, when they certainly are iTunes songs Match (most of the songs is not yet on Apple music).

    Attempted fixes:

    • I tried all kinds of re - authorize etc and nothing works.
    • I talked at length to Apple on the phone who now asked me to install OS X (which I'm hated to do that I don't see it being a problem of BONE).

How can I return these songs? Is this a known bug?

Okay, that was user error. The songs were incorrectly uploaded from another computer!

  • WMP 12 is unable to locate the music library

I have recently reinstalled windows 7 64 bit and now windows media player can't seem to load my music library.  Before you reinstall, I had no problem with wmp 12.

I have the correct folder selected for the library, but when I say update the files he never finds files.  I'll have to use a spider player for music and there is nothing wrong with creating a library from the SAME folder. (spider has been installed after that WMP didn't work).

WMP won't recognize music from the library, after that he was snatched from a CD. The music of the IP is stored in the same folder in the same format as the rest of the collection, but he does not take into account all the music that I na not tear.

I reinstalled WMP and have deleted the WMP (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player) database, but none of those who have helped.  I also have the same problem with Microsoft zune, is having exactly the same problem.  If someone has an idea that might work I would be very happy.  Thank you.

In WMP, click organize , and then select manage libraries - music . Add the folder there, which helps?

If this isn't the case, you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

I have an ipod touch 128 GB... but I'm almost to reach its maximum.

I want to do is buy a new ipod touch 128 GB and add new music without synchronizing the entire library to it... I have 2 ipods in conjunction with the other copies of the other.

    is this possible?

    What should I do?

    Matt

When you get the new iPod, you can use iTunes on your computer to select and synchronize the music you want on it, in the same way that you synchronize your current iPod - your iTunes will recognize them as different devices and will remember your choice of synchronization for each, it will not (unless, for example, you restore the backup of your current on her iPod) put the same content on both.

(I asked for your post be moved to the iPod Touch forum, where you have posted is the iPad forum use.)

  • Turn off the music when I plug into the speaker / earphone cord

Turn off the music when I plug speake / headphones cord. Have to unplug to get the music to play again.

Have you ever force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again? You won't lose data, but it can cure a few glitches.

Usually the music stops if you unplug the headphones to the device, and you have to press 'play' again to keep listening via the external speaker.

If you use the external speaker and plug in the headphones, the song doesn't stop and continues to play through headphones. Just tried it with my camera.

  • I've set up the virtual machine in win 7 Ultimate and put some data. Now when I try to connect it asks password and does not accept any password.

Default password Machine virtual XP Mode

I've set up the virtual machine in win 7 Ultimate and put some data. Now when I try to connect it asks password and does not accept any password. Please giveme the default password

If you're talking about XP Mode the default password is XPMUser.  In general you can not use Windows without a password in Windows Virtual PC that you can with Virtual PC 2007 and before.  XPMUser is used only with the XP Mode virtual machine.  All other virtual machines requires a user created password.  If you have changed the password in XP Mode and forgotten, then you have to start over.

Windows Virtual PC is based on virtual server rather than VPC and all virtual machines need a password.  If necessary, uninstall the integration features, start the virtual machine and create a password for the admin user.  Restart the virtual machine, and then reinstall the integration features.  You will not be able to access a virtual machine created by the user that has no password, while the integration features are installed.  Once you have everything right, that a virtual machine will not be asked a password if you are the admin user in Windows 7.
