• WordPress Dreamweaver compatibility

  I have a client who needs a website created which will have the usual pages as well as a page/calendar of events and an interactive blog with a comment poster section. They want what he designed under Word Press because once it is completed, they will in the word press so that they can update the site form in the future. I know dreamweaver and my question is this:

  Can I create in Dreamweaver and then give them the files and have it be completely compatible with Word Press once they get it? In other words when (and if possible) pop into the word press files everything works and look perfect and they will be able to sucessfully starting from there to do the updates themselves with Word Press? Or should it be created in word press from the start.

  not to take anything away from word press, this is a great blogging tool... but this isn't really a cms.  That said, if you hack into anything enough, you can do as a cms.

  Can you "pop in word press files everything works and look perfect. N ° Word Press is another one of these open solutions source that require you build the site around their solution, rather than to add to what you already have. You will need create and edit files of word press in mode html/css code to get the look / website and download plugins for features they want... and by using word press, your customers can fubar your design.  are there people who use the Word Press successfully as a cms... Yes... but not what it was designed to do.

  I encourage you to tell your customers to use something that can be added to an existing model, as adobe incontext, or POPs, or similar cms.  It is a cms triggered css that makes it incredibly easy to work with and flexible as well.  If you are a more advanced coder, you can also create your own cms... After all, it's just update server behaviors and the content of the database... it's really Basic.

  I am really keen to develop a site of online game and have a few questions of CMS/Wordpress/Dreamweaver, I hope that you all can help me with, I thank you in advance for your patience as I am new on the development of the site.

  I think creating a review site which will involve write me about 100 customers of online game and then getting users to download their comments/suggestions, etc. Each of the reviews would be updated monthly with his stats, performance and other details. Each review contains a review of the text, the review video and various images and screenshots. Integrate user generated content will be an important factor.

  I'm trying to confuse me with all the prep work round to ensure that I have the right tools and technology, that I need to succeed. A lot of people told me I should use Wordpress because of the nature of my site, or at least a combination of Wordpress and Dreamweaver - don't know how it works exactly. I don't want to be too dependent on Wordpress just because I want to be sure my site can be customized and cultivate and select advanted more value for visitors to my site. .. .i would like to have a members area only at some point in the near future.

  Please see below for questions running in my head:

  1. do I need a separate CMS tool?... ... who may be best to consider the nature of my site?

  2. should I use Wordpress instead?... .or a combination of Wordpress and Dreamweaver? -Why should I use a combination of the two?

  3 SEO is a factor important - does make a difference?

  4. my comments will need to be updated every month, so I will try to maximize the use of models, etc. I need to create a dynamic site in Dreamweaver or a CMS that will manage?

  5. what options are best to avoid as much as hand-coding

  Still a bit on the comment by John, WordPress sites actually pretty well on make Google providing your site contains a keyword rich, relevant and fresh content.  WP itself will be neither help nor hinder your ranking.  It's up to you to create good content, forcing the humans will be interested.

  As for the future, I think that you are on solid ground.  WP has been around for a long time and continues to dominate the market of CMS open source.  There are 58 million sites on WordPress.com alone.  This includes not everybody who self-host WP on their own areas.  Give it whirl and see where it will lead.

  Find a new WordPress theme that works with your basket of purchases (trade Woo).

  You can not because WP is a driving dynamic site (PHP & MySQL content).  Dreamweaver is to develop of new websites & customization of themes.  Once deployed, WP should be kept inside of WP CMS or you might break your site.

  WP also tends to remove any code which is stuck in its editor.   Find a good WP theme (sales are usually better than those who are free).  Optional use WordPress Plugins for features that does not include your theme.

  I design and on a measure of my own landing page in Adobe Photoshop and have the open as an HTML file in DreamWeaver to make my link clickable buttons works (centered enter button and some social media buttons). I can't know how to connect my file to dreamweaver with my wordpress site landing page. I'm stuck trying to figure how to take my case dreamweaver this launch page that has interactive buttons with working links and align with my current live Wordpress site.   Your WordPress landing page is created on the fly by your server with your WP Theme - index.php, header.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files, etc...  Theme files are located in wp-content/themes /

  If you want to create a custom theme, or more precisely a child theme in Dreamweaver, you must know the code HTML, PHP and CSS.  You need a working knowledge of the functioning of WP Themes and are built.   A Photoshop generated HTML page does not work with WordPress without a lot of re-coding.

• Dreamweaver CS3 Javascript and Wordpress

  Hello

  I created an html document / image with multiple access points, rollover image swaps in Dreamweaver.
  The doc works in most browsers using the paths of files/file on my local computer.

  I'm looking to paste the html code into a Wordpress page.

  WP theme that I use allows Javascript to be pasted in the header or the footer.

  WP theme developers have informed me that it will work.

  However - I can't seem to find the Javascript code in the html document, that I created. There is no .js file in the folder where the html doc was created.
  If anyone can help?

  WordPress sites must be kept with the WP Dashboard/admin panel.

  WP files can be maintained with Dreamweaver because the files do not contain information to change.  They contain simply of PHP code that retrieves information from the MySQL database.

  Continue to use WordPress for your WP sites.

  If you want to stop using WordPress, you need to start over and build all new web sites in Dreamweaver.

  I am a freelance web developer in Boston MA and I have been working with WordPress for some time now. I love working with Dreamweaver as my text editor, but yet I'm not comfortable enough to use it when working with Wordpress.

  Don't know if it's still completely relevant in 2015 PCOC (it has been done with CC 2014) but it should be.

• Can I use Muse/Dreamweaver to build an album pop up for my Wordpress site?

  I use Wordpress, but could not find a plugin pop-up ads to pay for. They all look basically the same, very little the customization and BLAH overall. I saw once a superb pop - up on an Adobe site that stopped me in my tracks. This is what I want.

  I can design a pop-up in the Muse or Dreamweaver that will focus on my Wordpress site? I have need analytical or customization. Just, I refuse to pay 10 $par month, or some crazy annual fee for which is boring and every other Wordpress site.

  Here's my vision...

  You can of course build things in MU / DW, but the better question is, how do you really want to implement it in your WP site? WP cares not for what outside his themes and plug-ins and without the proper files code API in the files that your fancy Gallery will not be displayed with the exception of manually link to it, which, according to your description, is not what you want. so unless you plan to learn the WP API and by creating your own code, may settle for something more accessible and get one of these 'boring' galleries? Ultimately there are reasons why things are this way, although probably most of the galleries can be customized, but you still need to enter WP Themes and their variables and default definitions.

  WordPress plugins are specific to WordPress.  They do not work in anything other than a WordPress website and cannot be activated from the control panel Dashobard/Admin of WordPress.

  What exactly are you looking for?

  Yes, I want to talk and EC2 instance and I am able to do Dreamweaver to easily connect using SFTP which I believe is a SSH protocol. See the image below. This method works.

  I currently have a test instance and will finally have an instance of production when the site is finished.

  Local environment is not installed on my workstation and my thought was that put it on the server would allow transparent operation including scripts on the server side. The testing station is not public.

• Simple Question on Dreamweaver & wordpress :)

  • Right now, it is connected to my Localhost using WAMP and I use Wordpress.
  • Technically, what I do is to create my own personal theme for my Wordpress site.

  
  

  I have connected my website for the theme I have to use, however, a few questions.

  1. Style.CSS does not seem to appear on the site.
  2. If I move the size of the browser that links to DO NOT move. Basically, they move with the page (I guess I should use some code here to allow links to follow the page... to enable them to change position to follow the new dimensions of the browser).
  3. The background of my Web site on my site & dreamweaver LIVE but not appear on the Dreamweavers "design" mode

  The first problem is resolved when I press F12 in dreamweaver, sent me to:

  What more he would soon go to

  1. the link to the CSS file is incorrect. WordPress uses .htaccess to reduce the length of the URL

  2. for a delicate design, you must have the aid percentage or similar units. If you use absolute units as pixels, the provision will not change with the width of the screen.

  3. it could be that you had an error in the markup, Design view is not as forgiving as a browser.

  If you want more specific answers, we must be aware of the full code. A link to your site is the best way, although it does not allow us to see the code on the server side.

  As a side note, it is best to use the Panel that comes with WordPress. Design changes are possible using Dreamweaver, but you must have a GOOD understanding of the rules of style.

• I'm having a problem with the files linked dynamically unable to be discovered in 2014 CC Dreamweaver with Wordpress.

  I'm following a course of Lynda.com to work with Wordpress via Dreamweaver.

  I installed a local test via MAMP server.  Several times.

  I get to the State where I can load the file index.php from Wordpress without problem in DW.

  But when I click on the button find to discover dynamically related files I get an error 'dynamically-related files cannot be solved because the site definition is not correct for this server".

  I went on all stages of installation via MAMP and Wordpress installation and configuration of a DW site.  I can't find what I'm doing wrong.

  I searched the internet and have seen that it is a common problem but it cannot get specific steps to correct this.  I saw a discussion there re this 3 years, but the steps are exactly what I did.

  So I really need help!

  Hi Nancy,.

  I solved the problem.  I went to WordPress permalinks settings and changed to the default setting as WP set up automatically for something else.

  Now I see all the dynamically linked pages in DW.

  In all the messages in the forums, they declare to change the permalinks.  But don't tell you how to get there and what to take.  Why leave out this important information?
