  I have a few wordpress templates, but is unable to view in a browser because there is no php just index.html. How can I work around this problem and use a regular wordpress as a dreamweaver CSS page template? I do not want to load the wordpress application or database in my server so is it possible?

  my real question should have been "how to change a wordpress to a regular html page?

  by display in a browser and copy the source code into a text file and save it as.html (dot dot htm or html).  But the extra real volume should be "How can display you the file if you do not have a server?  Answer: you can't!

  I'm sorry. You have purchased a model Muse for Adobe Muse. You cannot configure it to Wordpress. They are two different things. It's like buying a Honda and ask someone to set up as a Toyota. If you want to use Wordpress, you will need to purchase a Wordpress template not a model of Muse.

  Simple Anwseer is not... you might have made in Muse or Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver can open / edit for you but Muse open nothing which is not made for Muse.

  p.s. it clearly states that it is "Compatible with" on all wordpress templates.

  WP Theme development requires really good coding in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.  If you're not a skilled coder and specifically familiar with the functioning of the child themes, I don't think DW mode Design will help a lot to you. It's all about working with the code.

• ScrollBar is more scrolling, scrolling in IE

  I'm working on the conversion of a Wordpress template to correct my design. In the process, I added a scroll bar via CSS. It was very well run and now it scrolls is no longer.

  It only happens in Firefox, other browsers such as IE and Chromo scroll correctly.

  The site is not yet completed, but I have encountered this problem and can't seem to understand why Firefox is no longer allows it to scroll.

  If elements on a page do not respond to mouse clicks, then that is always due to other elements that you cover them and manage these events. In your case, it's the #coreContent DIV has a float property and a height of 650px and which covers the scroll bar.

  You need to add a style = "clear: both"to the DIV.pageNav to make it work. "

  Hey there, I just worked through a Lynda.com tutorial on creating a Wordpress template in Dreamweaver, and I did everything to the T step by step.  I have set up a local server (mamp) before, but I've also followed this tutorial first to make sure that I was doing that well too. I followed the tutorial template Wordpress all the way until it was time to work on the CSS file.  When I went to 'discover the dynamically linked files' it gives me the error message: "linked files dynamically cannot be resolved due to an internal server error."  For the life of me I can't understand what is wrong for what I can fix it.  Without all the associated all files work that I just have to configure php files of header, footer, index, etc. is pretty useless.  How to understand what is the "internal server error" and fix it?  Help, please!

  Certainly, you should be able to view WordPress in Live View mode.

  I have a requirement where the model divided the area of content in 2 columns - Center and right (similar to of many wordpress templates). All three must be editable by the administrator to add content.
  
  I tried this by creating two facetRefs content and content2. Then, in my page, I added two pageEditorPanel in every facet (see below).   Now, I know I can probably use presentation elements on a page (not the template) to achieve, but it will not be applied to a page created during automatic execution (for example)

  WebCenter has models and styles of page
  Models to define the overall appearance of your portal. You define a header, footer, menu bar and book a space for content.
  The page style defines how divide you the content space. So in your model, you put just a facet of unique content. The page style defines the regions that will be used inside the content facet.

  So in your case, you must create the model with a single facet of content, create a page style that defines two regions and then uses this style on this model.

• New to CMS - please help!

  I'm still relativley new to all this naked with me!

  I'm about to start designing a site for a small organization and one of the main requirements is that they are able to update a calendar of events and news article themselves (by 4 people so need a control system) while also having a gallery in place that members can download the images of the events to. The calendar of events will also have the feature where when an event is clicked on it takes you to a page dedicated to this event with details/costs etc. I assume I will need to build a temlate for these pages with sections that are updated the user which will then be available when new events are added to the calendar. I think using a J-Query type calendar.

  I'm very keen to make choices of good design/product I want to use this model in the future for other clients.

  My questions are these.

  (1) I have CS5 Web Premium with contribute. Can / should I use this to allow the client to change the necessary items such as the section news and events calandar and update the new event pages and if so how will my customer accesses Contribute? They buy the software?

  (2) I have heard and read a bit about Joomla! that looks like to what could be a solution, but I'm a bit confused on whether I can use the aspect content management to manage content in a site that I will create in Dreamweaver or if I should use templates etc? I'd appreciate really a few thoughts on this specifically with regard to the workflow used.

  (3) what would you recommend as a gallery of high quality images that allows people to upload images on the pages specified on the site? Is there a solution in a J-query type?

  A typical installation of WordPress contains about 800 files in 79 cases.  These files contain any CONTENT.  They contain PHP code that connects to the MySql database.

  (2) when you say that "most of the visitors only ever see index.php", I would really appreciate a quick explanation of what that means, sorry to be a bit slow on the adoption of the present.

  Dynamic sites get their content from databases and files include.  The site index.php page is re-created by the server whenever a visitor clicks on a link or running a search query.

  (3) I guess I can make changes to all HTML/CSS in a Wordpress template items free to customize the look of it?

  Yes, you can. But the themes are not the same as the DW models.   Outside in

  tags, there are almost no HTML code in them.  It's all about PHP code.

  3 (a) is this normal recommended starting with a very basic Wordpress template and then add your own HTML elements as I normally would so in Dreamweaver or am I totally missing the point here.

  Start with the default theme TwentyTen .  Don't expect to look like a static page of DW or Starter model.  If you open index.php of the theme, you will see a blank page.  Why? Because everything is filled on the server from the theme include the file header.php, footer.php, page.php, function.php, etc...

• Dreamweaver templates without... Dreamweaver

  I'm working on a website for someone. It turns out they want for Dreamweaver templates. I'm a guy of the eclipse, and it seems that the only way to really work with TPL is with Dreamweaver itself. Dreamweaver is not something I'm willing to shell out 400 dollars for, especially since I will only use models dethrone.

  Is it possible to manually create and use Dreamweaver templates?

  It might have something to do with the Contribute help to make changes later perhaps, but the site bound by the OP is a WordPress site and has nothing to do with DW. The post looks more like backlink spam to me than a real call for help.

  Just in case where it is not a spam message:

  DW uses pairs of comment tags HTML, formatted so that the program will understand what sections are locked and the sections that are editable. These comments can be placed manually in any text/html without problem Editor (everything. DWT template on the internet will give you the necessary structure comment). The benefits of using a. TPL is found only in DW itself, not on a server and not in any other editor outside Adobe Contribute. Local files of child created from the. TPL updated when the DWT receives a change. Local files should then be uploaded to the server, replacing the pages hosted remotely with versions newly updated.

  Since the site being linked is in WordPress, the foregoing is really not any sense. WP uses a database and php to create pages on the fly. There is no real HTML pages on the server which would be updated by transferring local files, controlled by a DWT template. Unless the customer is planning to move to the back of the database-driven, CMS and modify static html site, or perhaps the wrong site has been linked by accident, it is really pointless to attempt using TPL templates in this situation.

  Which kind of brings back me to the reason for which you could see the post as being spammy of backlink.

  I'm looking for a Dreamweaver template which has the following requirements, yet there are so I can't see the forest trees to find the good, so hoping someone can know and point me in the right direction?

  Fixed header with two mega menus, one or the other side that the site title and logo will be central.

  jQuery Accordion with the option drag the accordion selected to the top of the screen when selected.

  Entirely sensible and compatible browser.

  under the main header image that as wide as the screen, obviously limited to a max screen size. However, I would like to extend above the image as text the book of visitors upward.

  I know who can ask for much, but my skills are limited and it's just a hobby. I tried WordPress and found it very frustrating to work with because I was using for the visualization of code and live at the same time.

  Blogger Templates are completely different WordPress themes.  It's like apples and oranges.
