Work plan - layers jumping top of page

In Photoshop CC2015, I use the new functionality of the artboard. Whenever I want to duplicate a layer or a group of layers, the layer or duplicate group jumps to the top of the artboard. Is any way to prevent this and simply duplicate a line above the original as usual?

There are certainly undesirable behaviors here. We will look into it.

In the meantime, try the option do slide on your layers in the Layers Palette and place the exactly duplicated layers where you stack layers.

    Hello

How can I save my pdf so my 4 work plans presents a single PDF PAGE? (I don't want to merge 4 rebounds in a single pdf FILE, but I want to be able to see all the work plans of the 4 side by side in a single file pdf.)

Can I choose when opening the pdf file, or what I need to record a special way in Illustrator, to have my 4 work plans?

What you want to do is to convert your work plans by plowing the pages. I tried with CS4 (saving up to CS), and the main problem I've had is having to close the gap that has been previously between work plans.

Help Adobe seems to imply that the CS5 works better

If you save a document Illustrator of multiple-work plan in a previous version of Illustrator, such as CS3, you can choose to save each work plan in a separate file, as well as a master file that includes all the merged work plans. »

If you try CS5 save up to CS3.

Or can I save each workplan as an image file and then put two on one page out of Illustrator?

  • Photoshop CC: Menu police guard jumping top of page

(Mac, El Capitan, Pshop CC 2015.5.0) Hello, I can't select the fonts in my fonts list extensive. Whenever I try to select a font in my list, it keeps popping up in my drop down list police. Thus, for example, I'll select text in my doc, then go to the character palette or the fonts selector at the top of my screen (makes no difference that the one that I use) and start mousing/scroll downwards. I'll see a font I want to assign, but when I have the box in to kill him with my cursor, menu dang immediately pops up! Therefore, I have really no control over the selection of fonts unless I selects a font that starts with the letter 'A', since the menu always jumps to the top. Someone at - it already known this kind of thing?

I don't know how to fix the menu problem of jump, but I think I might have a work around at least until someone can help you with that.

Select the text tool, click in the font box in the Options bar family - and drag to select a font name that is there in the input field - once it is selected, start typing the name of the desired font - it will change this policy. I hope that you go forward so that someone figures the menu policy number will keep.

    Hello world.

I was wondering if it is possible...

I would like to create a series of work plans that begin in the upper left corner of my canvas. Right now, all arboards are created the dead center.

I can't find an option for this, but is there a way to do it without having to move manually work plans that I create? It's a lot of time if I want to do a lot at once.

    Thank you

Not sure that I understand you exactly, but considering what you want to avoid this

If you suggest to use the tool of work plan to move the original page here

Then, when you duplicate drop target for darts you will get more

  • create a layer to apply globally to all work plans

I'm a website design in illustrator. The header (menu and logo) and the footer (quick links and other copyright information) will be the same on all pages.

My site has 5 web pages, so I want to create 5 work plans showing the different pages. I'm doing what I can see the product in full before you start coding.

Is there a way I can set up a plan of work as a model and have 5 work plans that link the artboard (template) so if I change the model work plan, it affects all web page work plans (5)?

    Thank you

    Nick

Illustrator doesn't really have an option of 'master work plan. "

If you are looking for the possibility of having identical articles on several work plans, simply create the first item on a work plan. Drag it to the symbols Panel. Then choose the command Edition > cut followed by Edit > paste on all working plans.

The Paste command puts the item in the same position on all working plans. If you must then modify the object later, just edit the symbol and all instances on all work plans will be updated as well.

  • Automaticly loading pdf files in the document (multiple pages, on several work plans) model.

    Hello

I created a few models photos in Photoshop for a prospectus (8 pages) placed on 4 work plans (front, two rear and inner pages).

At the present time, I have every linked page (I followed some tutorials), so that when I click on the layer, it opens a new window where I can paste into the page and save/close (which is that the function called again?) )

As I will do this regularly and the order of the pages will always be the samen, is there a way to automate this?

Meaning: linking the model to PDF and have it automatically choose each page and place it in the right order/location?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Benny

I don't know of any way to import multiple files at a time. I agree... your action does not save much if anything. I was wrong.  Perhaps using an action is not your solution.  You can try using loading files in the stack. Who would get at least all the imported files at the same time.

  • Is it possible to export the layers of work plans?

I was so happy when Adobe introduced plans to work in Photoshop. And was impatient to try it on the practice. And earlier I finished Web site design that has by page 3 work plans. And a lot of layer comps on every page.

And it turned into a nightmare...

I can't export all the layers automatically. I have to manually put in each layer comp, click on "export as...". ». In the same file names are the same (called as a work plan). So I have to rename the exported images before the switch then layer comp and export it.

If I use the command "export > Layer Comps to files...". ', it exports all work plans in 1 file for each layer comp. But the worst thing is that these files look like this:layouts.jpg

-with huge space empty around work plans.

I spent a lot of time designing the site and now I even can't show the client!

    So my question is:

Is there a way to export the layers of each work separately plan with corresponding file names? (as it works for the old "Layer Comps to files... ("without work plans).

But if there is no solution I think it's a major issue in usability.

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Layer Palette list jumping around on DSP with multiple work plans

Just upgraded to Photoshop CC2015, and I'm doing a work of mobile design - work plans are perfect for this kind of work, so I decided to take advantage of the new functionality of the artboard. Now, a lot of actions that update of content in the palette layers (duplicate elements, for example), force the selected item to be concentrated in the top of the layers palette. This means that my layers are constantly scrolling themselves around and making it physically exhausting to use Photoshop. I'm on a retina screen 27 "(5K iMac)." Not only did I get distracted by the pallet to move, I have to also remember where I was still in the palette (layers are named, but I have 26 work plans, so it's a lot.), then scroll around to get there.

Also, when I delete the layer, the palette groups of select and focus parent of the deleted group at the top of the list. In this case, let's say I duplicated only accidentally an item (and then removed), then I have to realize I've been teleported elsewhere and find my way back.

I know the new behavior of items being placed in groups now sitting at the top instead of the bottom of the group - is not that, but maybe a bug related to this new behavior?

This issue does not appear to occur in PSD who did no work plans.

    Hi Zack,

There is bug here that is being developed at the present time in development.

When you choose the command duplicate the layer (or group of two copies) and the layer is a work plan, it is moved to the top of the layer stack and then re-nested in the above work plan that can hold the layer. When nested in a work plan, the layer is placed on top of the stack in the artboard. Most of the time, it seems just the layer gets duplicated upward from the current artboard, but in some cases, as you have discovered, it can actually go to another plan of work.

    Of course, this is problematic.

The workaround for now is option and drag the layers in the layers palette to explicitly in the order of desired layer stack.

In addition, there are a number of other behaviors that you describe in this thread that I think can also be problematic, but he'll have to look more carefully. Thanks for the information and please let us know if you see anything that affects your workflow with work plans.

  • 3 work plans of 3 page PDF-how?

OS 10.4.11 AICS4 - I have an Illustrator document with 3 work plans and when I save it as PDF dialog box option "save under" for use of work - together - range plans is grayed out. The PDF document that has only the first plan of work as a page accordingly. What I want, it's a PDF document with 3 work plans shown as 3 pages - accurately reflecting the original Illustrator document. What Miss me.

While in edit of work plans mode look to the right of your H: W: on the bar of tasks and you will see how many work plans are in your document .ai. You may need to select the rectangle that you have and that you use the "convert into work plans: command as Wade mentioned.» The screenshot you posted shows that convert it to grey tops down, so you must have not had a rectangle is selected.

This problem can be caused by that extended the Yahoo! toolbar or extension of Babylon also well down and covers the top of the browser window and therefore links and buttons in this part of the screen not clickable.

  • Work plans and layers

    Hello

I created a work plan for a business card and then created a second to the front of the card.

How to make it so that when I click on the respective work plan it has its own set of layers?

Now even when I click on this new work plan and type text that everything seems to go with the layers I created on my first work plan?

Is there no way to their separation?

    Thank you

    Paul.

Layers are a document element, not a work one plan. That said, you can select all the layers in a new composite layer for the first artboard using the command in the layer Panel dialog box. Then create another layer for the second. Name the front and back layers.

  • How to align layers on work plans

    Hello community,

I try to vertical center align a layer with the rectangle branding tool, but the layer always align to the artboard?

    Hope for help,

    Lars

    Lars salvation,

What you try to align the layer for? You can align it with the canvas/work plan (if only a layer is selected in the layers panel), either from another layer (if two or more layers are selected in the layer panel). You can't align it with a selection.

If you need to align a rectangular selection, create a new temporary empty layer and fill the selection with this layer. Next, align the target to your new temporary layer layer.

    I hope that helps!

  • For a 24-page document, you would use several work plans? Or another method?

Normally, I work on the single page for printing files and lack experience with several work plans.

Now, as part of a hobby that I conceive a set of 12 cards, each the size of an A3 (/ ~ tabloid) cut in half the long way, front and back.  So a total of 24 large pages, full text and images.  (No text running from one page to another, or anything complicated regarding alignment on all pages).

Would you recommend doing 24 work plans into one document?  Who will be too heavy and boring, because of their size and graphic account?  Or it will work?

Is there a better solution, apart from 24 separate files?

    Thank you very much!

    Eli

The normal approach is to assemble the pages in InDesign.
