• Newbie needs help with cookie cutter in PSE8

  I'm new to PSE8, the cookie cutter tool and work with layers, what I need help with to accomplish what I want to do.

  I want to use one form of cookie cutter to make several 'holes' in an image, leaving a solid color background layer to show through. (Or another path, use the form of Cutter of biscuit as a solid 'rubber stamp' color to stop shape on the image in several places)?

  I opened my image in the editor and create a solid color fill layer, and then I select the shape of Cutter of biscuit that I want to use, for example a sheet.  Then I select the color fill layer, click and drag to create the sheet randomly somewhere in it.  When I release the mouse button, the window returns to the image and there is the leaf, locked in a box, in the color I want, on the image. I drag the box (leaves) to where I want it and click the green checkmark to accept. So far so good.  Here's the problem: in order to create another sheet on the image, I have to create another layer of fill and repeat the whole process.  If I try to use the same fill layer to a second sheet, the first sheet disappears.  I must be missing something very simple, but I can't figure out how to get out several sheets of a filling layer.  Also, I use a version without the constraint of the sheet because I would create several sheets of different sizes out of the fill layer as well.

  I would be grateful for any help or suggestion!

  Try the following:

  1. File > new > empty file - white
  2. Create a new layer, fill it red
  3. Create a new layer, fill it out of blue
  4. Access the marquee tool, drag the rectangle to the blue layer. You should see "ants in market". Press DELETE on the keyboard.  You should see red in the rectangular hole.
  5. Access to the custom shape (U) tool. In the form of culture library, select the heart shape black all and hang out on the blue layer. Press CTRL + left click the thumbnail of the layer of the capping layer for "mobile dotted." Hit delete on keyboard twice, and you should see red in the heart shaped hole.
  6. Continue with other forms.

  

• Newb needs help with vectorization

  I want to take my scanned sketches HAVE so I can use the "live trace" function to smooth out them and vectorizes them.  I used to do that all the time that a couple of years ago, but I forgot the process, anyone know?  It went something like this:
  
  I think that I would first scan, > put in photoshop > can do something, > change the file format and > put somehow GOT.
  
  From there on, I remember you need to > select white background and > it separate lines.  Then > I would like to use the function "vectorization.
  
  I meet problems that HAVE her does not seem to recognize the saved PS file formats in (except pdf) and I can't cut and paste that I get an error "cannot export Clipboard because it is too big" and when I I don't remember how to select things and even less how to separate the line of the background art - I don't see even the "function of vectorization.  It's like forgetting how to ride a bike.

  Thank you, Monika, I think I found the problem.  My seems to be damaged and will not play many file formats, it turns out that when I reinstalled my CS5 collection a year or two ago I have not activated the have correctly.  God knows why just illustrator would be like this, but for all of you who have this problem, I'm fairly certain that it is because the AI is somehow passed to the 'unlimited trial' mode.  Seems to be easy to fix, just with a reinstall.  Maybe there is an easier way, but it should work.

• Newbie needing help.  Looking for options of circle on a form.

  Hey guys,.

  I'm a total newbie to this, but we have been mapping of forms and I need to know how to be able of different options "circle" on a form.

  I think that the best way to do it is to have a button that makes an object visible or hidden circle.  Currently I figured out how to define an object as hidden and do appear on click of a button, but do not make it back to hidden if the button is clicked again.  Several times, it's just a case of yes/no type, but sometimes there are cases where, I have several options where only one can be selected and I wish I could click and circle the appropriate type.

  An example:

  How many cylinders does in your vehicle:

  4-6-8

  and I would like to make sure that if you click on the 4 it surround the 4 and make sure that the 6 and 8 are not surrounded.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  You can use a variable to control for this button allows to swap.

  For example, use a variable as circleVisible = 0 and circleVisible = 1 do when the button is clicked and the circle is visible.

  So you should have something like this, when the button is clicked:

  I am trying to create a multi-page form that allows uses to register the products.
  The first page asks you name etc., and on the second page, I want to say "Welcome"+ username "!" -This kind of thing...
  The problem is that I can't seem to keep the values of dynamic text through the pages.
  
  I can get it to repeat the entry on the first page with this code:
  
  _root.firstname_txt. OnChanged = function() {}
  _root.firstname_repeat. Text = "Hello"+ _root.firstname_txt.text; "
  };
  
  However when I call on the second page it is not defined:

  I'm sure it's something simple and I am just a dunce of programming...

  If your textfield (_root.firstname_repeat) does not exist on the 2nd frame, its text property will be indefinite.

  to remedy, or extend the existence of your textfield in frameworks or use a variable to store its text property (in your manager onChanged) and use this variable to retrieve the value you need.

• Newbie needs help on the sequence

  Hello

  I just try to schedule something wih a sequence but it seems that I am quite familiar with the basic things that LabView. I am therefore asking for help.

  I want to do is start the program wait for the button to be pressed, and then turn on the LED for a second and then wait for the button to complete the sequence and execution of the program. Please see the attached VI.

  I discovered that by placing the button outside the while loop not taste it in the loop. But if I place inside how can I sample it in the other loop. Or do I need a totally different approach?

  LV is a "data flow programming language". That said, the block diagram reflects the data sources and data sinks and how they are connected.

  A rule of thumb says: a function can run as soon as all the entries are valid values, once it finishes its execution, it will pass the values valid in all its outputs.

  As a result of this sentence, you can get rid of the structure of the sequence.

  You are looking for other buzz words are:

  -machine States (architecture)

  -synchronization of loops

  Have you worked through the LV classes or "getting started"?

• Newbie need help with string concatenation function.

  I'm totally new to LabView and am trying to work on a project that someone worked in the past.  I came to a string function concatenated on one of the existing provisions and only seen on some entries of the string function has an order of 'rel' and 'g '.  I don't know if it's a common command or what it is.  This is VI is that it requires a user to enter a base dimension (x-axis starting point and end point) and executes the steps in the sample desired within the "point of departure" and "end point".  "a3" is the name of the x-axis.  but I'm not sure of the meaning 'rel' and 'g '.  I posted part of the diagram.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

  This isn't a question of LabVIEW, but very specific to the device connected to the other end of the serial port. Do you have any documentation for it?

  Basically, the program needs form a consiting of command of a delimiter character, value and end of key word, etc. for example.

  Who wrote this program. It seems too complex and convoluted. Under certain conditions, it seems to send two commands at the same time, and there is no way to determine the order in which they run. Maybe it doesn't matter, but maybe it does. Most likely, what you need is a single structure dealing with a case for each condition and a unique series in the end writing. You can reach the actual program? There are also a lot of duplicate code. What is the purpose of the operations 1 x? Is this a Subvi?

  I've been the proud owner of a "BOLD" for about 48 hours now. This is my first Blackberry, so please bear with me.

  I need to set up my Yahoo email. I remember setting up front, but I deleted it as my allowance for the use of network (3 Australia) showed 2 MB roaming allowance, of which half was used in one day.

  I think that the e-mail message has been implemented via a browser page, but I can't go back to this page. The e-mail setup wizard seems to be to the establishment through BES which I did not. Does anyone know the address of the page?

  I also remember, when I chose the browser (not of Planet 3) I was taken in a BB page that showed several options of setting up various things. There were about 5 or 6 boxes grey listed above the other? Anyone also know the address of the page for this?

In this screen press press the button menu and choose to register now. See if you receive a message from check delivered to your device. Subsequently, reset the unit by removing the battery for 30 seconds. See if you have this icon now after restarting the device. If you still don't you can try setting up the account again on your carrier's Web site BIS to add return e-mail accounts?

• Newbie needs help with old concert photos

  I'm just getting started with PS > was my main reason for getting the program to edit hundreds of photos together, I took in the 1970s on 35 mm film and was developed by post in enterprises (don't forget Clark, anyone?)  Most of the pictures are ugly, but they have great sentimental value and it's time for me to try to resurrect them.  Like most beginners, I find PS overwhelming but want to dive in.  Can someone give me some guidance on the necessary basic to begin steps to improve these photos, which are among the worst of them, because in addition to poor exposure, developers cut the negative through the image, and then recorded back together and printed the photo I scanned recently.  I need some basic first steps to improve the overall image and then get rid of the line.  I want to do it myself, I'm not asking anyone to do it for me.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you very much.

  Just for fun, I spent a few minutes. Yes, I did:

  1 levels. To make things dark concert. I cut the bottom of range.

  2 auto-ton, Auto color, auto contrast

  3 painted a quick mask fuzzy brush on the Cup

  4 use content-aware fill. (for the record, it is really sloppy and could do much better).

  5 adjusted levels once again, but adjusted the darker Middle slider. To taste.

  6 saved.

  I managed to add two foreign keys in the first array, i.e. in this case the table of "deposit".

  However when I try to add two foreign keys in the second table, which is 'Ready' table it gives me the following error

  Welcome to the forum!

  Whenever you have any questions, please post a test script complete that people who want to help you can run to recreate the problem and test their ideas.  Is the code you posted exactly what you have run?  For example, you seem to have a missing comma in the statement "customers CREATE TABLE... ».  Make a unique script that you can run several times to recreate the problem and after this script.

  So you started by creating a table named customers (in the plural, with an s at the end), but all the constraints of foreogn keys to refer to a table called customer (singular without the s at the end).  Be consistent with your table names.  You use the names of the singular for the other table (branch, deposit, ready) names; do the same for the customer.  It will reduce confusion.

  In the code you posted, you create foreign key constraints referencing management table before you create the table brranch.  It's probably not what you really, but it shows why you need to create a simple script that anyone can run to recreate the same problem you get (and help) and not a different error.

  If I correct all of these things, I don't always get the error you reported.  However, I get the error

  Add CONSTRAINT fk_Customer

  ERROR on line 2:

  ORA-02264: name already used by an existing constraint

  When you try to add the deposit table foreign key constraint.  This is because there is already a constraint with exactly the same name, fk_Customer, in the table of loan.  You can't have 2 constraints with the same name in the same schema.  (This is different from the column names: you can use the same column name in different tables in the same schema, but does not allow the same constaint name in different tables in the same schema.)  Include the name of the table, or its abbreviation, in constraint names. for example, deposit_fk_customername.

• Newbie needing help, setting a Pixel dead using scripts

  Hi all.

  I have an EOS 550 d and if it takes pictures fine, with some video recording settings, it has a pixel died in 1308, 877. It leaves a small but noticeable black-purple spot with a radius of about 3 pixels on my raw images.

  I'm hoping to write a script that takes the color of pixels outside of the affected area and sets the point to be the correct tint, which makes it less visible, but I don't know how to do this and unfortunately a little on the internet and in books I have on the use of legacy lacking documentation. I tell myself that I can do if I just make a mask of the affected area and write an expression for the hue adjustment but it seems such a chore to put everything for all my images and if there is a simpler way, or a way to automate that, it would be appreciated. So nobody here knows how to do this with scripts? Or point me in the direction of a tutorial or something that can show me how to do this? Write a script or plugin even what should I do to solve this problem?

  Sorry for what is probably a newbie question very, but there still to change the color of a single point on an image probably doesn't come too. And before anyone asks, I have a lot of experience with JavaScript - but not with the SDK of AfterEffects.

  Mathematics of color is delicate. No way around that. It doesn't matter that it's expressions, scripts or modules hardcoded, especially that in your simple case an average of any color mode necessarily would not give a good result. You know, perceptional stuff like appearing on the other hand, if the error is near one edge and all that... And you cannot change the data pixels directly with expressions and scripts, anyway, so you could for example use a circle to camouflage the task and animate its color. Since you know JavaScript, you might be able to remove one way or the other, but outside the tiem to knit the code, the performance would be pretty horrible. The AE expressions are the most basic script without any optimization like runtime bytecode generation or threading same interpreter... To cut a long story short: for the particular scenario, you can simply consider RevisionFX' RE: fill. Does everything you need.

• Newbie need help CENTER_CONTENT

  I work in Enfocus Switch and I have a command simple that I need to run in indesign (java in CS 5.5) I need at the center of any object inside their rectangle frame. But I don't know how to select an object in indesign and Center the content (using Java). Here is my best guess;

  Edit: I figured out how to center the content inside rectangles:

  But, I still don't know how to get a variable with the number of rectangles on a page/doc, so I can create a loop.
