Worth to upgrade to Z5 Compact Compact Z3?

Hey all the...

I have a Z3 Compact and wonder if it is worth to a compact Z5? It is much faster than the Z3 Compact? I don't really like on the camera, sensor of fingerprint or fault of the covers-USB - more info on speed/performance, battery life and good connectivity.

Do not upgrade! I did and since then I regret... The battery life is horrible!

  • N550D - 10G is it worth to upgrade RAM and OS?

I am about to buy a N550D - 10G but am not sure whether or not it is worth upgrading the OS Win7 HP and memory at 4 GB or stick with Win7 Starter and upgrade to 2 GB.

All the advice from someone who did or would be appreciated.

Well, more RAM means your laptop would go faster even if you want to use several applications at the same time, so 4 GB RAM is a good idea, I recommend upgrading the memory to 4 GB of RAM.

  • Worth the upgrade?

I have an iPhone 5s which is slowly but surely dying. I'll usually 3 years between upgrades. Is it wise to update the iPhone 7 now or hold out for the iPhone 8? Compared to my phone right now the 7 has enough upgrades to justify the purchase but rumors have it that the iPhone 8 is supposed to be "revolutionary". Any thoughts?

Alone, you can decide if the iPhone 7 meets your needs and fits your budget. No one knows if the iPhone 8 will be "revolutionary" or great or terrible. You don't have to decide now. As long as your current phone works you can choose to update or not. Wait until the phone is in the stores. Go play with it. Go home and think about it. Go read some reviews. Go play with it even more.

Yes. Best upgrade is a newer computer that can handle at least 8 GB of RAM.

  • Still worth the upgrade?

    Hi all

I have the Middle 2009 13 "model MBP already upgraded to 4 GB of ram + 128 GB SSD. I just update the operating system to El Capitan yesterday.

Given my MBP is going very slowly in opening simply different tabs firefox / chrome / safari, I think if I should still move the ram to 8 GB. I want to know if these updates would greatly increase my MBP?

If possible, I would use this MBP for 3 years and more than buying a new brand (now I look forward to the only MBP model USD2500 come with the graphics card)

Either way, I really need my MBP to run Photoshop (editing RAW), web + apps, tools development (coding + emulation apps).

    Thank you for your answer

Yes, model will produce substandard results the meager 4 GB of RAM. Unfortunate signs of how 'far', we have done and what are the current needs. Finally, I have checked, a pair of sticks of 4 GB 204-pin DDR3 PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) SO-DIMM is less than $50, a truly profitable investment return. 8GB is higher you can go with this model.

  • Worth to upgrade the hardware in 2011 MacBook Pro?

    I have a 2011 end 15 "Macbook Pro (MacBookPro8, 2):"

    CPU: Intel Core i7 (2.5 GHz, 8 MB L3, 4 cores, 256 KB of L2 cache cache)

Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6770 M 1024 MB

Memory: 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (my upgrade using OWC RAM)

Storage: Hitachi 750Go HD, 7200 RPM

Battery *-he won't hold much fees and I always keep connected when possible because battery just does not last too long.

But touch wood... except for the battery, I am happy with this old trick: the performances are quite good (with latest OS X 10.11.3).)

It is interesting to invest in some hardware upgrades that it would rejuvenate significantly?

I think the following (with the current prices of OWC):

    -new battery $99

-SSD, 480 GB OWC Mercury Electra 6G $195 (it is $ 63 less than equivalent Extreme Pro)

-1 TB HGST HD 7200 RPM $98 (with cube data, to be installed in the region of CD)

TOTAL: $392 (I cut this to $287 if I cut half of SSD and HD capabilities)

Opinions? My only concern is this new h/w were in a 5 year old laptop, how does life have left? Will be an investment to upgrade the h/w wasted because of other failures in 2 years?

First of all, longevity... some still run their lighter systems 2008 as web browsers and other tasks. My MBP 2011 sends this message.

Second... An old battery is just that - something to be replaced instead of a 'sign of death. I would like to replace it immediately at an Apple Store... old batteries can swell and damage case/keyboard/trackpad. Maybe not, but it happens quite often.

As for HD... all the spinny readers die subsequently. You are wise to consider a replacement. My 2011 MBP has a Crucial MBP (OWC is also a very good drive, and get the non-Pro is not a bad decision, if the Pro is not necessary).

Basically if it's 'OK' outside the farm, the SSD will be much faster and the battery will allow it to better function as a portable device.

< EDIT > The SSD you put into the 2011 models are 2.5, which can be reused in external speakers if the 2011 becomes unsustainable future (could happen). So the SSD is definitely NOT a waste of money.

  • It is worth the upgrade / Pavilion dv6880se Special Edition flow

Looking for assistance in this small matter. Wondering what are the improvements that I can add to my laptop HP Pavilion dv6880se Special Edition influx. I intend to use it mainly for the delivery of some programs DJ and Photoshop Elements. I know I want to upgrade my memory. What else would you recommend and it would be worthwhile to upgrade.

    Thank you

    DigitalCajun

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6880se influx special edition Entertainment Notebook computer. Based on the specs of this model, there is very little that can be improved and it is unlikely you will see any performance gain. Current memory is listed as 3 GB with a maximum of 4 GB.

  • Is it worth the upgrade 4th Gen extreme 6th Gen with multi-Express configuration?

I have a 4th gen extreme and 3 airport base express (2nd generation), each set up to expand, all connected to speakers of different sizes for listening to music.

Everything is on a floor, not a big house, 920 square feet.

I recently updated my Comcast service to 250 extreme. Connected by ethernet, last night and got the 275 - ish down. Pretty amazing.

I have actually never connect by ethernet, everything is wireless.

I have a recent Mac in the room more far-of-router, when I do everything. A 3rd generation Apple TV is also in the farthest room.

I got a refurb had 6 extreme Gen this week to try to take advantage of the extreme service 250 (I know that I won't do the same ethernet - connects, but...

I am on the fence about the 250 thing).

Implementation of the 6th gen extreme proved to be impossible - it just would not be put in place and I kept getting "unexplained error', whether on Mac, iphone, or ipad. All new.

And I'm pretty good with this sorta thing.

So I thought, forget it, I'll return it. Probably defective.

    My question is:

With the multi-express in place, it is useful to make the new ac-router with "n" 3 express on the network? Or should I just keep the low extreme, 4th-gen my extreme internet service 250 etc..

    Thank you!

If you want to quickly get wireless, the only improvement will be a direct connection to the AC on 5 GHz router which means close and staff.

The express will get no improvement because they are Wireless-N devices... and are perfectly adapted to the existing EI Gen4.

    My question is:

With the multi-express in place, it is useful to make the new ac-router with "n" 3 express on the network?

    The answer is no...

Unless you can get the router AC in a place that the computer connects to the it's 5 GHz directly... which means the same room or adjoining room, perhaps.

You need to run ethernet (or even EOP adapters are not up to 250mbps) to a location near the Mac.

  • Unlocked Compact Xperia Z3 on AT & T?

I would like to know if the unlocked version will be compatible with AT & T. I know it's on T-Mobile and their networks is not compatible, but I want to assure you that I will not buy something that isn't 100% functional on the AT & T network.

    Thank you all

    Hi Rosco,

I can now confirm that the D5803 model is the one you want - and it works surprisingly well on the AT & T network we (including LTE..!). It's an amazing device and a great upgrade to my Compact Z1.

    Hope this helps,

  • X 51 R2: upgrade to GTX 960 worth?

    Hello!

I am running a 270 R9 GPU in my new X 51 R2 (i7). It is worth the upgrade to a GTX 960? Take a look at gpuboss.com, the R9 270 gets 6.5 points, while the GTX 960 gets 7.1. This doesn't seem to be a big gap... now I wonder if it's woth the 200 euros.

I know that some people managed to upgrade to a GTX 970, but this card is still a little too expensice in my opinion.

Thank you & have a nice day.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't make the jump.
If the R9 270 x already has the same amount of video memory, I would stick with that one.
the GTX 970 is a great upgrade. But those EUR 200 make me think twice as well.

With respect to the speed and the virtual memory of treatment that they are not that far apart. So, no. Personally, I wouldn't go with the upgrade.

  • Is an upgrade to XPS 8500 to 8700 worth?

    Salvation;

I am a happy owner of a XPS 8500, in which I have recently updated the GT 640 stock to a 760 GTX graphics card. Today make a Support Dell driver update inspection and I remembered that my PC is a 'first version 2012 '. As a guy who is used to look at the new cars every 2 years, I do with my Dells.

Apart from a system with a new guarantee, what improvements are there between the 8500 and 8700? Looking at the specs, I have trouble seeing what is really better. Of course after looking at the new Chevy I would always wander on to the Buick. The new Area-51 is something to see!

Is it fair to ask this question: is there a XPS 8800 just around the corner?

It depends on who you 8500. If it's a core i7 3770, then in my opinion, not worth the upgrade. the 4770 is faster and the 4790 slightly faster than the 4770 again, but is probably not noticeable to most of the work.

If you do not have an SSD, look by adding a. It will make a huge difference.

The 760 GTX is good, but really it's just OK. (I'm a so I'm not bagging on yours) a upgrade to a GTX 970 would be noticeable if you game.

Next gen on the horizon Intel chips are Broadwell and Skylake. Read about them. Mon.02 is later in 2015 or 2016 at first there may be a few desktop computers that are really a step above what came out today.

All that being said, if you have need for speed CPU now, build a K 4790 and overclock.

  • Can I upgrade my CPU now?

    Hey everybody:

I think the upgrade of my compact dc7800 mini tower CPU of the current E4500 @ 2.20 GHz, for an E8500 3.16 GHz

These chips are only $15, should I do it?

(I already use graphics Radeon HD 6570 and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM at 333 MHz)

The E8600 are twice the price to about $30

Obviously, the only reason that I bring up the price of a $15 difference is because MONEY IS TIGHT RIGHT now.

Apart from the slightly higher clock speed 3.33 GHz of E8600 against 3.13 GHz of the E8500, are there other benefits to E8600 on the E8500?

My son uses this machine to the game and I use it for photoshop / lightroom.

For the current hardware Windows experience index:

    Base score: 5.5

    Processor: Calculations per second: 5.5

Memory (RAM): Operations per second memory: 5.5

Graphics card: Desktop for Windows Aero performance: 6.7

Graphics card: 3D Business and graphics of games: 6.7

Primary hard disk: disk data transfer rate: 5.8

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

If you can replace two chips 1 GB with 2 of 2 GB chips, you will have at least 6 GB.

It will not change the speed of the memory, but at least you'd be to halfway there at maxing out at 8 GB memory PC2-6400.

Memory will run at the slower speed of any one piece in there, so even if the two would be 800 MHz, they will work 667 MHz and 2 x 1 GB PC2-5300 chips.

Yes, I don't know what it is with upgrades the processor I did.

I have updated many of the processor socket 478 Pentium smoothly.

I read a lot of "how to" tips for installing an LGA 775 processor and how to properly apply thermal paste.

I tried different ways to apply the paste. Grain size of the rice, X model, pea size... Puree and slightly twisted the heatsink to spread in the dough. Cleaned thoroughly heat surfaces with lint free wipes and 70% isopropyl alcohol... everything.

The PC went very well, but if you have run windows experience index test, or put a load on the CPU, the fan would go into orbit! They had run fine until I got my hands on them.

I was upset because there was a large increase in performance, whenever I changed the Pentium 4 630 in the dc7600 to Pentium D 945. But I like a nice quiet PC, and the fan must have kept idle during these processes.

If you are not comfortable to upgrade the processor and you can hang 2 x 2 GB PC2 - 6400 chip memory for $30, I would go that route.

I bought 4 of them... Excellent work.

  • HP ENVY 14 (14-2020NR): my computer load AHCI or SATA3 upgrade to an SSD

I have 16 GB of RAM (max for my computer) and I have the I5 processor. I want to upgrade to an SSD. I don't know what SSD for upgrade to or if my computer is equipped to handle the upgrade. I was told to support AHCI or SATA3 upgrade to an SSD... Your device supports the SSD even, it only supports SATA 2 SATA 3 is backward compatible with SATA 2.

The part number, the other Member has suggested is for a complete motherboard. If your laptop is brand new that will likely violate the warranty. You really want to go this route?

If you feel that is worth the upgrade of the motherboard and the video, then you would be better to return the laptop. Buy one that has the features you want rather than take the risk of damaging the laptop during disassembly and reassembly.

Re: 'for the discrete graphics, power supply unit changes may have to do usually. But since it listed as compatible tips in the user manual, which may not be a problem. "This is not correct. Laptop models with maps installed discrete graphics require a 65 Watt power adapter instead of a unit of 45 w. Be specific in your statements and your suggestions.
