  Try the Organizer by selecting thumbnails and use the menu:

  File > export as new files

  Erin,

  With PNG (preferably PNG24), you can check transparency and get rid of the background.

  The clear format of artwork no photo would be PNG24. It is important to create the exact size that it should be used, or it will be blurred. You can create it at this size, using points/pixel as the unit and save for Web. You can check the size of the window the size of the Image where you can also check Art Optimized.

  I fear, however, you may be out of luck: maybe the format will be changed to JPEG, and size will also change by Facebook software.

  Please provide details: you are not trying to change the file type by changing just the extension, are you?  That won't work of course,

  Either you try to run some type of script?

  To change a file type, you have TO open the file in Photoshop and do save as.  That can be automated.

  I'm quite new to this, so any help would be appreciated. I use Lightroom 3 and need to export files in Jpeg format to put on Smugmug for printing. My understanding is that I put 300 PPI, in measuring the "size to fit" and the width and the height, I'm a bit confused. My problem is that I want to export by batch and I need a way where I can export there will be minimum smugmug in culture when people are going to buy prints.   The size of the image are in the metadata Panel of the library Module.

  If you want to allow people of the same image to print sizes, then they will have to crop the image to the right size on Smugmug. There is no way to avoid it. I know that you said you don't want to crop the images, people, but users MUST make a crop so that the image has the same proportions as the print size.

  Similarly, if you want to allow people to print 4 x 6 or 11 x 17 or any other standard size, then you must provide as many pixels as possible. You can not, to your computer in Lightroom, choose settings that match all of these possibilities.

  So, again, I recommend that you download the whole photo, without culture and without resizing to the default PPP. Nothing else will not provide the end user the flexibility to print in different sizes.

  my current project I'm running a few tests of performance for oracle data guard. The question is "How LGWR SYNC transfer influence the performance of the system?"
  For the performance of the values, that I can compare I just built a normal oracle database in the first step.
  
  Now I perform various tests such as creating index 'broad', massive parallel inserts/validations, etc to get the marks.
  
  My database is an oracle 10.2.0.4 with multiplexed on AIX log files.
  
  I create an index on a table of "normal"... I have run "dbms_workload_repository.create_snapshot ()" before and after the CREATE INDEX for an equivalent period for the AWR report.
  Once the index is built (round about 9 GB), I made an awrrpt.sql for the AWR report.
  
  And now take a look at these values of the AWR

  Wait Time: Time it takes for the I/Os to complete. Even though redo records are written in parallel, the parallel write is not complete until the last I/O is on disk.

  This was also my understanding... "log file sync" wait time should be higher than the 'parallel log writing' timeout, because of, it includes the e/s and the response time for the user's session.
  I could accept it, if the values are near each other (perhaps around 1 second about altogether)... but the difference between 132 and 4 seconds is too visible.
  
  Is the behavior of the log file sync/write different when you do a DOF as CREATE INDEX (maybe async... like you can influence it with COMMIT_WRITE initialization parameter?)?

• Sandboxed apps cannot read / write files to the main user Id

  All of my sandbox applications give me errors like this and I checked that my permissions are correct and there is no ACL involved.  I'm really tired.  I can't save documents in any player, including the readers with the value 'IGNORE OWNER PERMISSIONS'. I was able to use a different connection of the user (the same group id) to create and save a document, but my main user (rfbrost) couldn't read.

  Follow-up: I made a boot SAFE and SECURE connection and was able tot save the iCloud, but no other player, including a USB doesn't stick with 'IGNORE the PERMISSIONS ON this VOLUME' of.  I firmly believe that, despite the error message, this is not a problem of file system permissions, it has something to do with the sand boxed apps and my primary UID.  I created a group called family and I made this my main group by using the utility of directory identifier.  I changed then owners on my hierarchy so that my files were all held by the new group ID.  I noticed that the message an error about a file created from a template generated the error:

  I noticed that the temporary file is created as the ID of Group staff.  Whence the system get this info?  My primary group ID is now family.  It should not important here because the file does not have still permissions RWX group, but it is strange to me.  What is a latent bug that the default group is always personal?

  Finally, I'm able to drag the file created and saved on the disk to my main iCloud file hierarchy and read it very well.  At other times, in a sandbox application, I am able to duplicate the file and save the duplicate but not the original file (called untitled) created from a template.

  I did a VI where I capture images every time I hit a Boolean value and they are automatically saved in a card with the names 0,1,2,3,4,5,... but that is not important for my problem. I use the writing IMAQ file2.vi to write my file in the path of the file set. This .vi got the function to save the image, .jpeg, .bmp, .png,... I select the .jpeg extension, but when I go to the files they are presented like this (without the .jpeg extension).

  

  I guess there is a simple solution to add the .jpeg extension after the file name, but I can't find anything.

  In addition to this there is another thing that stands out from the .jpeg question.

  I take a lot of pictures from different angles of an object and also save them as in the example above. After I got all the pictures I want to trial, so I need to save the images as well as the angle. I know that in NI Vision calibration information can be saved in a .png file with the images, but I was wondering if this could also be done with your own information. If this is not possible, is there perhaps another solution to this?

  Use IMAQ write Custom Data http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370281P-01/imaqvision/imaq_write_custom_data/

  and when you save the image use the option 'PNG with Vision Info' on IMAQ write file 2.

  • What email program are you using?
  • They have in PDF format, or just readable?

  If you use Outlook Express, you can create a folder on the desktop (or elsewhere) and drag messages from OE to it. B it will be readable EML files. If it is necessary to convert them to PDF format, there are many EML to PDF converters available.
