WRT1900AC and VOIP "netphone.

Hi all

looking for some advice on how to use my "netphone" with my WRT1900AC VOIP service?  After some googling, it seems that I have to use a third-party voip adapter?

Anyone using such a facility already, any recommendations?

Thanks, Lee

I appreciate your help, but I don't really see what it has to do with iinet, they provide service netphone Yes but I'm trying to see how I can use this service with the wrt1900ac they have pretty well the bases covered when they say "a VoIP compatible modem.

Where my query with which concerns the compatibility of the thewrt1900ac with a third partyvoip/adapter modem etc.

"A modem compatible VoIP", they hear just a modem IP phone that offers a phone jack on the modem in that you can plug a regular phone incorporating.

For the router that doesn't have built in IP telephony hardware, you will need to buy it separately. You should ask iinet which IP phone that they recommend. On the iinet website, they mention a "ATA" (don't ask me what that means) phone will work. This is why you must contact iinet support.

    Hello

This is due to the "downturn" bug introduced by VMware with 4.7.

It affects all VOIP applications and some other applications like Firefox.

As a solution, relink or resume the app with 4.6.2

  • Setup of QoS for Whatsapp and VOIP application

    Hello guys,.

I have a modem WAG320N. I have wasnted to configure the QoS priority for 2 applications 'Whatsapp' and a VOIP application that allows me to call from a computer to a mobile phone. I use torrent applications and that they take all the bandwidth. That's why I was looking for to configure QoS for these two applications.

I went to the page of QoS and they are wondering about the details of the application as the range of ports etc.. I don't know what value to be filled. I posted a screenshot below of his request. Can someone help me fill out these details for both applications.

    Thanks in advance

    Image: http://i40.tinypic.com/2qi02z5.jpg

    You can add essentially Viber on QoS. Under the games and Applications, QoS, click on enable priority access Internet. On the category, find the Applications > add a new Application. You can enter the name of the Application. You can now add the port numbers. And since it is a specific port and no beach, do you this way;

    5242 - 5242 TCP (for Protocol)
    4244 4244 TCP
    5243 5243 UDP
    9785 9785 UDP

    I hope this helps.

  • Gather the router E2500 and Voip DMZ box

I had an old belkin router which is dead.  I have port forwarding and DMZ through my box Voip IP 192.198.0.1XX (immutable de.0.1) my new router IP is 192.168.1.1 now (DMZ immutable a.0.1) and I'm not sure how to get all DMZ d together and without flow.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I searched and found nothing on this issue.  Thank you

Hey, mustache! Have you tried to specify the device in the DMZ by MAC address instead of the IP address? To do this, click here. Update us how it goes!

  • WRT1900AC and OpenVPN with Macbook Pro

I'm trying to set up a VPN connection to my home network so I can access the shares on a WD My Cloud EX2 NAS device when I am absent in the same way as when I'm home and connected to the network.  Here is where I am: I have installed successufully Tunnelblick on my mac and to set up OpenVPN on the WRT1900AC.  When you are connected from an external network I can access my router and NAS using the LAN IP addresses as well as ping devices on the local network (printer, etc.).  What I can't do, is see the NAS on my mac, or use the links I created folders in the shares on the NAS.

I thought that the function of OpenVPN was supposed to connect to my network, I would be able to access these things?  Am I misunderstanding something here?  I understand that this connection will not carry my internet traffic through my router, but I don't care on this issue at this stage.  I just want a perfect access to the NAS at home.

    Thank you!

VPN solutions have problems with DNS. I recommend the use of links address IP NAS instead of the NAS network name if that's how the links are currently configured.

  • Problems setting up router WRT1900ac and fiber

I feel that my question is so obscure that I won't be able to get a lot of help here, but I'll post anyway.

First of all, I live in the Philippines. My ISP is PLDT. I have FTTH - fiber to the home. My internet connection is DHCP - no login or password. I thought that perhaps they checked the serial number on the modem to see if I was an authorized user but apparently not; They told me if I wanted to buy another optical modem, I could and that I wouldn't need to do anything to save it on the network, but that they could not provide me with a list of modems that would work.

They delivered to me with a router/modem made by a company called FiberHome. "Like the big business of high-tech directly affiliated to belonging to the active state of oversight and Board of Directors of the Council of State, FiberHome Technologies is the company of the kernel located in Wuhan Optics Valley of China."

The model number is AN5506-04-FG. There are very few configurable on this. Can I change my wifi network name (they insist that the name of the network begins with PLDTHOMEFIBR, no idea why) and a few passwords here and there. For the most part, I just post status on the LAN and WAN.

Therefore, because it is so little that I can do with it that I decided that I needed a router/gateway and not simply an Extender. I bought the WRT1900ac.

Brought it home, that he repaired, it connected via ethernet cable between a LAN port on the FiberHome on the Internet on the Linksys port.  I then used the WiFi on my iPad to try on the Linksys Setup, try with Safari and Chrome.

Went to put in place and smart control of Linksys could not understand my internet connection, despite several reboots, power off and cable disconnected, etc.

So I went to the manual configuration. I put the connection to a static IP address. Following the minimal instructions in the booklet of FiberHome, I put the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.28; the subnet mask of 255.255.255.0; This gateway 192.168.1.1 (internal IP of the fiber to the home, address) DNS of Google DNS.

This would actually work - but only for a few minutes at a time. Then the network diagram would show that I was always connected to the FiberHome but no connection to Internet in addition. (Although my PC, connected to the FiberHome via a LAN cable, still had access to the internet.)

I used the live chat Linksys to ask an agent to this topic. She said that my gateway setting is correct. She had me reset the router and try again, but he could not yet know the connection to the internet on its own. She had me download the iOS app and try there, but same result. So I received a ticket number and ended the chat session.

Now, I tried to set the internet connection on the router at the bridge. But once I did, I was unable to connect to the router via WiFi. I needed to do a reset to be able to access it again.

At this point I called my ISP. They told me that if I wanted to add another router like that, they would need to reset my router/modem FiberHome bridged mode. But they are unable to do it remotely and cannot (or don't want to) give me instructions on how to do it myself.  They need to send a technician to my home. They could not tell me when. I have to wait for a call. (I got a ticket number).

This means that for now, I have a blue and black, sitting bins there, I can't do anything with.

So I'm waiting, I thought I'd post this in the hope that someone might have some ideas configuration I could try or for the general amusement of peoples.

    Thank you!

You may have a conflict between the two routers in IP subnet. In this case the WRT1900AC will change it's default subnet to 10.x.x.x instead of 192.168.1.1

You can find the new IP address of the router by looking at a customers connect ITI information IP address appears as the default gateway.

  • WRT1900AC and Galaxy S4 to connect, but cannot actually get online

I got this router in my wishlist for about 6 months and finally pressed the trigger yesterday. He arrived this afternoon and well, I've experienced this with the DIR-655 Router two years ago... and I'm afraid it's the same problem all over again.

With the DIR-655 Router, you can set the WPA2 with TKIP encryption and the S4 Galaxy would work. I don't see an option with the ca 1900.

I tried all combinations (WEP, WPA2 Enterprise, no, etc. on 2.4 and 5 Ghz) without a bit of luck. I've updated the firmware also. Galaxy S4 (Ver.1.1.8.164461) says it is connected, but I can't get online.

    Anyone have any ideas?

He has got to work! I did a hard resetand the two Galaxy S4 in the House have been able to get online.

All I can think is: I had configured the WRT1900AC for the port forwarding for XBox Live (in these instructions), which included the port 80 and 53. Maybe that was re - directing traffic? I do not know... I have connected my Xbox One via Cat5 and now the NAT is open - without having to port forwarding.

I hope this helps others... try a hard reset first!

P.S. It was a stock configuration after a hard rest. My only change was change the SSID and password.

  • WRT110 and VoIP quality

I have Vonage Linksys (PAP2) adapter attached to a WRT110 RangePlus Wireless Router. Firmware on the router upgraded to 1.0.05 build 3.  Incoming voice quality is clean and clear.  Outgoing voice quality is jerky. Nothing other than on the local network VoIP.  Tested late package with and without the router online.  Without router, round-trip delay (100 pings to Vonage external server on the Internet) on average less 90ms.  With WRT110 online, around tripping delay 200 ms on average.   The > 200ms delay is after you disable the SPI firewall and QoS and setting DMZ destination with the MAC address of the adapter Linksys of Vonage.

I also tried the AT & T_Cisco MicroCell connected to router Linksys WRT110 RangePlus.  Same router, same problem.  Quality of VoIP CMF (phone Moble to MicroCell of Linksys WRT110) outgoing is choppy.

    Any suggestions?

Try reducing the MTU value to 1300 on the configuration page of the router and the router power cycle... Now, check.

  • RV042G and VOIP

I have a RV042G in a simple configuration.  WAN1 is cable and DSL WAN2.  The cable is 200 down and 10, DSL is 25 down and 10 upwards.

We are a financial services company, so we have a lot of services that require a constant time and disruption in these services seems to cause a lot of problems (by example, if I use the smart-link failover and WAN1 is primary and it breaks down, even if WAN2 captures correctly for these services can not restart correctly).  WAN2 is more reliable, but WAN1 is faster.  We use WAN2 WAN1 as the backup, as principal however do to WAN2 expansion is no longer sufficient for our needs and we are experiencing problems with call quality on our VOIP lines.

    My question is this:

Is it possible to installation mode the RV042G of load balancing, but have only certain types of traffic to WAN1 and WAN2 on other types?  For example, all VOIP on WAN1 all quotes (like Bloomberg, Thomson One, etc) on WAN2 (provided that I know that the ports that use these services)?

    Thank you.

    Nick,

It is certainly possible and it is quite common. When you enable load balancing, you will see an option called protocol binding. Select the service (or create a service custom) and bind it to according to the WAN is suitable. If the WAN connection fails, all traffic will return to the other WAN port until the original WAN port is back.

Answer please if you have any questions.

  • WRT1900AC and printer

I have a HP printer I want to add to my network, it is not a usb connection, how can I do this?

Connect the LAN cable and make sure that the printer auto detects the IP address. Instlall dirver printer on the PC and automatic driver HP most detect the printer on the network. Should be fine from there. If you need help with the printer, you must contact HP technical support for information and additional help.

Oh, the ACTC. e-mail is an IMAP it's a .edu in gmail. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I solved my problem :-) I discovered than Android or Google Services (I don't know which) do not like IPv6. When I turned off all right. Thanks again Froidhiver for all your help and suggestions. My question now is to disable IPv6 will have no negative effect?

  • 802.1 x and VOIP

I'm trying to figure out how to get our 7970 phones to authenticate with ACS. The phones were configured for 802. 1 x and a pre password shared has been selected. The switch ports have also been set up. GBA, I added the MAC address of the phone to the ACS. When I test using the wrong username and password I see the failed by phone in the newspapers of the EC attempts... However, the phone is always allowed to connect and make calls. A colleague was able to get this working by selecting 'activate the AV PAIR' under Group Configuration. But I do not know what variables would be here to do this job. Have no expereince to do this work?

You must add several authentication domains at the port, by the previous doc Else, the phone will get access simply b/c it's exchanging information CDP with the switch.

    Hope this helps,
