  Hi, I just got a unused WRT350N router.

  I want to upgrade the firmware the 2.0.10 original to the most recent available from 2.0.19. I downloaded this on the support page, which gives me a text from the Readme file and a. IMG file which I assume is the firmware file (all the instructions I found imply there should be one.) BIN file)

  I connected my router to the MAC using a wired connection and followed the instructions to upgrade the firmware (using the.) IMG file), followed the steps of rest (including using the hardware reset button and the option of software factory default values), but when the router comes back to the top still says its firmware 2.0.10.

  I don't get any error message and have noticed that at the end of the upgrade it does NOT display the «update is successful, restart...» "message.

  I have lived this several times with the same results. Any ideas please?

  I printed off manual and found an obscure reference to Web pages only work with IE and Netscape and so given my previous issues with Firefox I looked up an old install of Netscape and hey presto the update worked first - didn't even have to reset the router! :-)

  I hope can be useful to someone else at somepoint.

  PS. I know this is a 'reasonably' old router by today's standards, but I question what type of programming is sitting behind the pages that it only works with IE & Netscape! I realize that you cannot predict what are the browsers will be used in the future, but come on!

  I just brought a WRT350N, but I have a few problems here.

  Before I use WRT350N, I already use a WRT54G (version 7.0), and everything is OK.

  But when I change my router WRT350N Wireless, the problem is coming.

  Open the configuration page... Click on storage, then FTP server and allow it to... Make sure that you have updated the Firmware...

  I found the answer on the website of ipods for troubleshooting.

  I had the 128-bit encryption, but on my selection of router, I got key 2 as password.

  Then I changed all my cameras wireless (that works) and router to select the 1 button and then came the key 1 password for my ipod touch and g1 phone wifi and it worked.  I have to check on nintendo wii, that I had to buy the usb network adapter to do work and nintendo ds to see if it also works.  I'll post.

• WRT350N blocking up

  I bought a Linksys certified WRT350Ns renovated an update of my WRT54G v6. I probably would have been satisfied with my 54G since it is running solid as a rock now. Anyway, the ngn350 happened to me DOA. It was walled with just a blinking light. So I'm like OK, I'll just go back. Spent an hour on the Technology Support to get nowhere and then still called and got a support ticket number. I quickly went to get an RMA number. I packed the router and sent it on November 15, they got it at their warehouse 19.

  I have not heard a reply from them until just today when I got my RMA. I came home and opened the box, only to be greeted by the same router that I sent. I thought maybe it's nice, they completely fixed and boy I was wrong.

  The router boots now, but crashes whenever I have change the configuration, it also crashes after about a minute of being under tension. This happens on the official Linksys and DD - WRT firmware. I upgraded from official to DD - WRT and did a 30-30-30 reset on all three flashes to join eko TNG MEGA 11296, and it still happens. My question is: does anyone have an idea what is happening with the router and if there is anyway to solve what is not too heavy and not involve getting an another RMA?

  Using the web interface to me more, but the router still locks lift after a few minutes of use. It seems that I just got another defective router as this seems to be a hardware problem. The technicians didn't of course test this router good enough because they let this issue go. I filed for an another RMA Friday and I should be getting my shipping label and shipping off the router running next week. In any case, thank you for your attempt to help me, but these routers is just bad. I did some quick research, which brings a bunch of results of people having problems with this model. If all goes well, the service RMA is she good track this time, the second time around and sends me a good fully functional unit.

  Thanks a lot for your answer. I have reset the router for 2 minutes, but it's not helping. It looks like this: after the power cord to the electric light taken router is green and blinks twice 10 seconds more late light output changes from green to yellow color twice safe. I can ping the router, I can connect to it via the web page, I can update firmware via the web page. I see all the options. I can turn on and turn off wifi but the router does not give any signal radio (wifi)... and of course wireless light is black. I tried to download the firmware via TFTP without success. I don't know what more I can do...

  Virginmedia in the United Kingdom have 50 MB download capability now that I am interested in buying. I was advised to check that my current router (wrt350n V2 firmware v2.00.18) is able to handle this speed on its WAN port before you sign up. It is not clear on the data sheet if the WAN port is gigabut able ehternet, as well as the 4 ethernet ports, and I wanted to ask you just to be absolutely sure.

  As the router that you have its a gigabyte wireless router bits, and all the LAN port at the back of the router are the Giga bit Ports LAN. Your router will work with the speed of 50 MB, and you should be able to go online from all your computers.

• Disconnecting wireless connecting wired desktop HP - WRT350N

  I have the problem that I can't solve.
  Everything worked great until I bought the new laptop with map N.
  My previous Setup was: WRT350N, wire connected desktop HP 1 GB, wire connected Dell computer laptop 1 GB, HP printer connected 10Mo wire and connected wireless laptop IBM 802.11 g (all running XP).
  With this configuration all was working fine until I bought new Sony Vaio with N (Intel) card and Vista. Initially it connected without a lot of problems, but only with the speed of G (the Office was off). I made some changes in the configuration of the router - past from WEP to WPA2, band radio to wide etc. Result - worked well with speed N.
  Next day I couldn't connect via radio by any way (which includes Vaio and IBM; Office lit up).
  I suspect me of Vista on the new Vaio so I started to install the patches, hotfixes, drivers, etc. Then I accidentally turned off the desktop computer, wireless started working.

  If the final configuration is like this:
  desktop computer is off - works wireless on two laptops, using N or not, in the work of wire connected Dell and printer.
  On office - Wireless does not work on two laptops, wire connected to Dell and HP printer work.

  What is going on?

  Thanks for the reply Ricewind. No, I don't change the range of IP addresses. But I discovered what my problem was.
  I had a low price (and quality ) Bluetooth dongle on my HP desktop. He was jamming of wireless connections when I turned on the PC.
  It has worked before with only a laptop and G network but when I set up the router for N, I changed the channel from 1 to 7 and turned on the radio 40 Mhz band.

  Removed the dongle, switch back to channel 2 with 20 Mhz band and everything works (I also had a few problems of range so I'm sticking with standard channel for now.)

  The new firmware is not the problem... However, the drop of water that makes the vase overflow. Your TC underwent a total failure due to bad soldering... the attempt of the update was this slight element of stress which caused the catastrophic failure.

  If you are a handyman, there is a fix... It of free... and set up to present enough to say that I am fairly confident with your symptoms, it will fix it.

  I will get my first pair of hearing aids,² 961 LiNX RIE, 20 Sept. Pending this installation, I did my homework, including by participating in these forums of Apple on this topic.  Firmware seems to be a recurring topic here I'm worried.

  It seems that there is always a period to shake, with a lot of messages on the Bluetooth connectivity issues with updates of firmware sometimes correcting a problem.  While only cautiously optimistic, I want to be proactive in avoiding problems for my first experience of hearing aid in getting firmware updates as quickly as possible. Who needs to address my concern that, with regularly updated iOS updated to Apple (the last being downloaded 9.3.5 recently), connectivity can glitch again until an updated required corresponding firmware applies to my hearing aid (or vice versa).

  I don't expect my audiologist to warn me when a new firmware is available.  I also searched sounding site and do not see the links to all the pages that show the current version of the firmware, or all the instructions telling me how to check if my hearing aids have this latest version of the firmware.  (Yes, I will ask my audiologist which version I get in the original timeline.)

  I look forward to the improvements to the web site and possible Smart app where it just would not confirm if my hearing aids are up to date, but it is also possible to download and apply updates firmware for hearing aids via the Bluetooth connection, rather than an appointment to audiologist.  In the meantime, I'm looking for a way to get automatically notified (perhaps a list of electronic distribution to consumers and professionals) when firmware updates are ready to apply, with confirmation what version of iOS is required for compatibility with this firmware.

  This looks like a "problem of sound" - they will be able to tell you how to check the firmware version, how to use their app and if they support the user after the updated and changes or additions to their software.

  I suggest you seek their support site, forums, or use their contact information as a last resort. They know more about all the things you want instead of Apple users who help out here.

  In regard to updates to iOS, look in "" settings > iTunes and app store ", uncheck"Updates"to stop the automatic updates of operating system." You can do the same for apps if you want to really too much manual control over them. You should read the release notes and comments to work if the updates will change anything that you depend on.

• Keychain, iCloud + problems of Photos on MBPro since changed password and password set firmware

  I recently changed the password for the connection on my main account on my MBPro and added a firmware password, but that doesn't seem to work properly: whenever I reboot Keychain keeps asking me to access the local keychain and all iCloud apps are disabled. I also have problems with pictures. FYI my boot HD is encrypted with FileVault.

  I put details on the issues below, as well as what I tried so far (based on the collected suggestions from these forums) as well as some newspapers Console elements that seem strange.

  I don't know how to proceed at this point that some options might make things worse if not done does not correctly (or in the right sequence). I'm tempted to disable Firmware password, go back to the old password, or turn off FileVault to see if the problems goes, but I'm afraid it might make things worse (and I would like to have these features runs later). I also have the opportunity to reinstall the OS and return to a previous TimeMachine upward.

  FileVault is running on the boot disk (SSD).

  Firmware password has been set.

  I have a Time Machine backup (on a second external hard drive).

  I installed a functional copy of Mac OS X on an external hard drive 3.

  I do not use iCloud keychain.

  I have another admin account that works.

  Problems:

  (1) Keychain: whenever I start the CommCenter ask the session keyring password (I must then enter the previous admin password).

  I wonder then if I want to update the local keyring: to do this I have to enter my new login password in the "current password" and then I type the same new password fields. Once I reboot the problem reappears: exactly the same sequence, as if the information could not stick. Might have something to do with the FileVault and Firmware password.

  (2) iCloud: after having rebooted and enter my passwords from keychain as described above, none of the iCloud applications work (email, Messages, Contacts, calendars, reminders, Notes, find my Mac, iCloud drive, etc.).

  He tells me tells me he is not able to connect to iCloud and asked me to try to do it in the preferences panel. When I tried to connect there, he couldn't connect to iCloud and told to try again later.

  10 - iCloud: I tried to close the session from iCloud, then enter my iCloud ID and password, but it says no more: it cannot connect or that the Mac is already connected to this account. I closed the session again, iCloud used Safari to manage my AppleID (https://appleid.apple.com/), listed devices associated with and my MacBook off the list: I always have the same questions even after reboot. I even tried to delete the iCloud account since the Internet Accounts preferences panel, but it is not listed. I tried to add it, but he said that the Mac is already connected.

  If this is not the case, already, connect your iMac to AirPort Extreme with an Ethernet cable. On the iMac, make sure that Ethernet is enabled and disabled WiFi (or next to). Then try to use the utility AirPort again try the update of the firmware.
