To specify the hashing algorithm in a policy of Internet Key Exchange, use the command hash policy Internet Security Association Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP) configuration mode. IKE policy define a set of parameters to use when the IKE negotiation. To reset the hash algorithm for the algorithm of hash-1 defaultsecure hash algorithm (SHA), don't use No form of this command.

SHA	Specifies the hash algorithm SHA-1 (HMAC variant).

MD5	Specifies the MD5 (HMAC variant) as the hashing algorithm.

How a 48 IPv6 to the subnet in ESX?

My ISP router provides my host ESX 4.1 with a 48 full of IPv6 addresses. I want to subnet as 48 of the 64 and 56 subnets, assigning specific to individual client subnets. Is it possible to create subnets inside ESX IPv6?
And if this is not possible, how others using ESX to implement IPv6 test environments? Is there a software add-on that allows this feature?
I am currently using the "classic" ESX 4.1 and the upgrade plan to ESX 4.1i in the near future.

Hi Wombat - Vyatta can do what you want.

It is capable of managing all of Natting / DHCP / routing etc - just assign several interfaces and treat it as a hardware router.

The advantage is that you will be able to use the VMs firewall off the coast.

I have implemented and use dvyatta a lot, but have not used the new device of the 6 version that has been published - or I used IPV6 on this - but all previous features was very well executed, so I suspect that their IPV6 support will be of the same level.

Updated ReadyNAS 316 OS, returned with the DNS error

I've recently updated as well to my NAS 6.5.2 devices and since doing so, the VA started sending notifications, update attempts failed. When I investigated further, I discovered that none of the functions of the update seems to work. For example, when I click to search for updates to the NAS operating system rather than show 6.6.0 or tell me there is no update he insteads returns a DNS error. My network has not changed in any other respect. 2 devices still sync with eachother and all my users can still access their data in the two places for the more basic functions appear to be not affected. I have manually updated them to 6.6.0 OS but the OS DNS error update remains on this device. I noticed that at some point the AV definitions that update before the manual up-to-date operating system and now it seems to work (for the moment) very well. However, as I have already said, the error remains the update of the OS. Rather than report the status update I get a DNS error.

Thoughts anyone?

A friend today got the same problem after the update of the firmware.

Try turning off IPv6 support on your network interfaces.

It has resolved the issue.

No icon network & no updates with errors

When I try it it alls disapires just and nothing happens?

(Windowx XP Pro 32-bit) (OEM Windows XP pro sp3 cd) computing personalized, I myself built about 6 years ago.

Was installing IE8 & all other updates 09/01/2011.

I've had Bitdefender total security 2010 & uninstalled upgrade to version 2011. While I had it I thought that I would do all the updates before I reinstalled it, which includded the IE8 & around 11 or 12 other updates. Day & IE8 updates has not and when I rebooted to try again I couldn't on the internet at all. I have noticed the icon in the network, (network connections icon) folder. I used my laptop I looked on microsofts site troubleshooting for the icon missing and all running ok except DCOM security check. Now I can get on internet but very limited and still no icon and no install or uninstall. He tells me the windows setup program is damaged or was not correct. my pc is very slow and buggy. I got a list of errors in the events I'll also post below. I just format and reload, but I have a lot of very important work here. I'm trying to fix it before I go buy another HARD drive and starting over. Here is the KB894543 of KB825826 & help section # s I've tried so far. I also started on the cd of win and did a chkdsk /r and still did not help. I also get this a lot: Win32: access denied... THX Scott

System Restore work? If so, then use a created point restoration before the attempted update 09/01/2011.

I tried to download the new version of the firmware (2.0.04) to Linksys x 2000 hw version 1 Appendix a: 404 page not found error.

Same problem with 2 different machines on different internet connections.
