  I followed above link to see how to make my Xbox 360 arcade able to play xbox games. I did what he said, but it does not work.

  I have downloaed the file called 2007.zip-$SystemUpdate_12. I renamed the file default.zip. But what comes after is different from that indicated in the above Web page. I opened the file and got $SystemUpdate (folder). I then double clicked on $SystemUpdate and got su20076000_00000000 (file). I've renamed su20076000_00000000 default.xex. I saved default.xex on a cd using Windows Explorer. I took my cd for my xbox 360 arcade. I turned on my xbox 360 arcade and put the cd in the it. I came up with an error that there was nothiung on the cd. I checked with my laptop and the file is there.

  Why it did not work? Did I miss a step? Is that what your statement wrong? I did something wrong? Also the file (default.xex) is about 7 068 KB not 5 MB.

  No, your laptop is fine. Xbox games can not be played on a PC (you can use the controllers to xbox for some PC games however).

• Extender wireless Xbox with an xbox game?

  I need to extend the range of my wireless controller.  I wonder if I can do this with an Extender for wireless game xbox plugged into the USB port on the xbox 360.   Does anyone know if it would work or if the extension of wireless game works only with a windows PC?

  You answered your question about the extender.coming extend the range - as far as I know you must be within 30 feet or so to use the contoller with a console. You should also have the console out in the open so that the signal can not be hindered at all.  Keep off cabients and above all to have the console in the same room.  Another thing to keep in mind is to keep anything that uses a frequency of 2.4 ghz of the console and the controller.  Items such as microwaves or wireless phones can disrupt the singal.
  I have two 360 side by side, and controllers synchronize with the wrong console.  You must manually specify a synchronization on the console and the controller, and I doubt scope is limited to avoid cross-synchronization

  It makes more sense to me that the beach is limited because they do not expect someone to sit 30 away from their console.  most of the consoles are a few feet from the TV, and most of the people do not sit 30 away from their televisions... even with a big screen tv, sitting 30 away from the console are a way of looooong away.the controller range is wide enough.  I can get out of my game room, in the living room and the kitchen and I still have the controller in the range (the signal passes through 2 walls and more than 2 rooms) .i have never seen a Repeater or a range-extender for a 360 controller.  I suppose someone could make one, but it would not surprise me, because I doubt that there is much demand for a controller who works more than 30 feet far.
