Xcode 'How To' books, is at - it all?

I'm running El Capitan on my iMac and wish by some C language codes.  I have upgraded to the new Xcode, but impossible to find books, manuals or instructions online on the use of the tool.  All I want to do is play with C.  I write not for commercial markets, only my own pleasure.  In the old book Beginning Mac OS X programming instructions and Learn C on the Mac book no longer apply to the latest version of Xcode.

If there isn't a way to return to the base C, is there a BASIC autour compiler, I just can use?

Just start XCode, select 'Create a new XCode project', select one "OSX - Application and click the command line tool.

Give it a name, and I use as identifier com.me and select 'C' for the language.

Select a location to put the folder and on the next screen, click on the main.c to the right.

Click the triangle to the top and the Hello, world heel will compile and run.
