XE under VirtualBox configuration to access the APEX of external reviews

Hello

I don't know if I address the right forum, but I would throw all the possibilities...
I installed a VirtualBox with Ubuntu 8.04 with Oracle Express Edition. After installation, I can access it from the computer invited without problem to http://127.0.0.1:8080 / apex

I used port forwarding to be invited from outside access. I have forwarded ports 80, 1521 (DB) and 8080 (APEX). After doing this I am able on access DB via SQL Developer of foreign guest, but I'm unable to access the APEX facility. I checked the reviews IP which has been 10.0.2.15, so I tried to access http://10.0.2.15:8080 / apex of the host, but no luck...

I do not know how DBMS_XDB works and if I have to redirect ports more than port usual http (80) and at the APEX (8080)...

Any help will be appreciated!

Josep

  • How to have an e-mail link that accesses the APEX page without you connect again.

    Greetings,

It is common in our applications APEX to send e-mail to a user with a link to a specific data line so that they can access the line and approve it. The user who receives the email is already connected to the application, but when they click on the link in their email, he is asked to open a session. How to do this?

    Thank you, Tony

What you need is a custom page Sentinel installation that will detect if there is a session already valid and which then uses.
See {: identifier of the thread = 2283805} for a fantastic example of Patrick Wolf on the functions of sentry page. You will need to change to get a valid session, through apex_custom_auth.get_session_id.

  • Get Windows security pop for the user name and password when you try to access the APEX

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help.

I recently installed apex on my localhost, port 8081, and I try to go to http://localhost:8081\apex\apex_admin so I can set up a new area of work, but everytime I try I get security windows popup requesting identification name and user password. I tried my user, credentials, even credentials weblogic xdb credentials.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

I am running windows 7 Ultimate, with Oracle 11.2.0.1.0, apex 4.2.5 and weblogic/http server.

I'm sorry. Don't know where the Apex forum is that's why I put in general.

Anyhoo, this is now resolved. The anonymous account has been locked. Unlocked it and BINGO... all work.

    Thanks for taking a peek.

    Hi Wila,

    Thanks for your reply.

I solved this problem. to be precise, the question is how to establish communication between the host operating system and the guest operating system.

I never thought that this was much simpler. Broke my head with lots of DHCP/static IP configurations.

Running order with access root and its given an ip liaison to the guest operating system (CentOS) output. That intellectual property allowing access to the web applications of comments through the host browser.

  • Cannot access the Server Workspace external URL

I am able to access everything successfully while I'm on the server, but I can't seem to access the URL of the external workspace to the server
    Here are my steps/symptoms:

-All URLS are running on the server, (for this example, I'm mostly focused on FDM and workspace)
    using http://localhost/hyperionfdm and http://localhost:19000/workspace/index.jsp

-Turn off the server I use correctly the URL below, FDM url functions but workspace does not have.
    http://Generic.com/hyperionfdm and http://generic.com:19000/workspace/index.jsp

I also tried http://generic:19000/workspace/index.jsp and http://generic.com/workspace/index.jsp but no work

-When I try http://generic.com/hfm off the server, I get a page with just "hfm" on this subject. I understand that this isn't a road to the workspace but that he wanted to provide the information, since it came on other threads that I read while researching this.

I re - run the EPM system for web server configuration, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Please let me know if you have any ideas on anything to check or how to solve this problem.

    Thank you

What is generic.com? What is a load balancer or a simple dns name?

If it's a load balancer might be mapping generic.com to port 80. Which means that it is mapping to IIS (80) instead of the server (19000) web of OSH. In this scenario, there would be no logic to a port after it because it would be not mapped hollow LB.

Get the IP address of the host and, also, to check the ip address of generic.com using NSlookup - are they the same ip address? If not - you have a load balancer and need to reconfigure it to point to 19000 (or reconfigure your ports)

    If they are the same.

from the telnet ip 19000 host work? -If not maybe he doesn't listen on the adapter and only localhost or some IPv6 issue.

off-host telnet ip 19000 work? If this is not the case, perhaps you have a firewall in place blocking port 19000.

Check ipconfig on the host - are there multiple cards?

    Thank you

  • Cannot access the images on external hard drive.

I'm trying to access a folder on my external hard drive. The folder contains images and the hard drive is the internal hard drive from my old computer with XP as the BACK. I tried to implement the steps described in this thread http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/accessing-files-on-external-hard-drive/1bd3550f-10fc-406e-be45-0de794343e53 but it did not work. Help, please.

    Hello

Referring you BACK Disk Operating System?

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Give Permission to everyone and check if it helps.

    (a) right click on the folder you want to take control and then click Properties.

    (b) click on the Security tab, click Advanced, and in the permissions tab, click Add.

    (c) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (d) type like everyone else, the in called Windows Enter the name of the object to select it, and then click OK.

    (e) in the new window, give select full control and click OK.

    (f) click OK.

Step 2: in the permission tab (follow step a and b in step 1 to open the authorization tab), if you have any user refused to try to remove it and make sure that include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent of the object is checked.

    I hope this helps.

  • call the apex of extern with parameter page

    Hello!

is it possible to call a page of the apex of an external application and pass a parameter to the apex page?

    something like this:
    http://server:7777/apex/f? p = 128:8 & P8_FIELD1 = 12345 & P8_FIELD2 = abcdef

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Christian

    Hi Christian,

Standard APEX accepts no additional parameters in the URL to call, but there are ways to work around:

    (1) pass it as part of value (see http://www.oracle-and-apex.com/apex-url-format/ for a description of the Format of the URL). It won't work if you don't have an id of session of the Summit.

    (2) create a procedure public callable that accepts parameters, in this procedure, you define a global package variable and call the procedure of 'f' APEX with all necessary parameters.

    (3) 'flexible' call format use: http://rokitta.blogspot.com/2009/07/apex-fp-syntax-with-flexible-parameter.html

    brgds,
    Peter

  • Windows Server 2003 external to the application of the Apex and listener Apex?

    Hi all

I have oracle RAC INSTALLED on solaris with three knots. I have several users with the CCR. I want to install APEX so that each user can access APEX if they need. Based on the Google search I did is not clear for me. My goal is to stay away as much as possible of the production systems. Could you please tell me which method can be good to implement this? I think following methods but I don't know if they are correct.
1 - Position the external Apex of Windows Server 2003
2 - Place the Apex listener in Windows Server 2003
3 - allow the user connect to the Windows Server to access Apex

    Thank you

    Hello

APEX needs to be installed in a database. If you do not want to expose your RAC and use a separate instance of the database, users will not be able to access the data available in the CARS (unless you create database links, but you usually don't want that).
You can install APEX Listener on your Windows 2003 to access the APEX facility in your RAC database. You must choose a J2EE container to host your listener of the APEX. See APEX listener installation guide for supported containers or search the forum or google to find out what other containers may be suitable for you (for example Apache Tomcat is not officially taken charge but able to accommodate the listener).
You need to configure the firewall and/or rules of routing for all users may access the port used by the container.

  • Cannot access the file

We have implemented a cluster and our hosts, added vmkernel and have the right licenses. The migration option is available, but then we get the error message "cannot access the virtual machine configuration: cannot access the file [storage]" I thought about is because they do not work on a shared storage...

I had to think about iSCSI, but have not tried it before, and now I ask you, is the most optimal solution? We will cable from the server to the top with a SAS cable,

The servers are located in different parts of the building, I could put the other to the first server and their cable it but to avoid this, is there another solution? I can't use the data storage "migrate" since I don't have essential vmware more...

you need external shared storage and follow the right cable FC, iSCSI, or SAS. You can not just a two-server cable upward with a SAS cable and expect it to work like the discs are still local only. the other option is to search for virtual storage in which transform your disks local shared iSCSI volume

I have a base shared of the Oracle (12.1.0.2) 12.

I have an APEX PDB 5.0 file. There is no APEX installed on the CDB (root).

I want to configure the EPG for this PDB.

I find myself with the APEX-based users:

    Account

    Status of user name

    ------------------------- -------------------------

    ANONYMOUS HAS EXPIRED

The problem is the ANONYMOUS account has expired.

Reference: Re: XDB username and password

I think that this issue is addressed in your previous thread so: Oracle APEX server requires a user name and password of the server said XDB?

And here's the thread where Jason explained the reasons: Re: installation of the Apex (4.2.2 on 12 c)

    Kind regards

  • Q; How to re - configure and monitor the listener of the APEX

    Hello
I installed the listener of the APEX on a WLS 12.1.1 (SPARC Solaris 11platform) and configured by using the URL:

    http:// < Host >: < port >/apex/listenerConfigure

    It worked very well!

Now I need to change the URL and the credentials for connecting to my APEX instance and when I tryo to hit the same URL again, I get the following message:

The listener of the APEX is already configured. Please log on as an administrator to access the listener Administration APEX.

I read to you is a file called apex - config.xml somewhere but I can't find it under my WLS installation directory.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

    See you soon,.
    Andy

As mentioned Udo, the 2nd option (change in the war before you deploy file) is probably the best. One suggestion is to use a variable then rather hard, the location of the XML encoding. The variable can then be set / changed on the command line.

    Web.Xml

              config.dir
              ${apex.dir}

In the weblogic under the Server Start Settings console, you can change the variable according to the needs for each instance managed for each environment:

    -Dapex-dir = / dir1/dir2/myapp/apex

    Good luck.
