XI player won't open FULL SCREEN!

I am running Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.2 on a Dell Windows 7 workstation with two monitors.  We usually have a dozen applications open and we bounce around between them.  Everytime I open a PDF monitor what, it was inaugurated the last, it will open up enlarged on the screen.  I do * NOT * want to open enlarged and I searched high and low, tried to set the preference for full screen, Documents, everything I can find, and no matter what I do, whenever I open a PDF file, it is full screen.  I can get it to change the way the document appears in the view full screen, as did page or zoom on the width, but it always opened FULL SCREEN!

How can I disable this feature?

Thank you. It worked after 1/2 hour ca be lost looking for round Adobe preferences and online "help".

I set up a new computer to Win10. Once Adobe and Microsoft appear to be competing to be the cock of the dung heap. With the UserC, like me, being well to the bottom of the hierarchy.

  • Some game programs won't open full screen.

I have a wide screen 22 inch and Doom3, Tiberium Sun, Armada2, etc won't open full screen. I have set myself properties to optimize, but still have the same problem.  Doom3 and Armada2 fill the screen from top to bottom, but there are black bars on the left and right of the screen.  Sun of Tiberium works well, but it is centered in the middle of the screen.  I updated to Windows 7 and this seems to be my only problems.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Some of the games probably do not support widescreen and your screen resolution.  The basic rule is defined at each game to run at the resolution of your screen.  Probably of 1920 x 1200 or 1440x900ish, or somewhere along those lines.

Sun of Tiberium goes up to 800 x 600.  Doom 3 out of the box only also has options for 4:3 and only widescreen with some custom options (more here on the configuration of Doom 3).

If you open the menu of the monitor should be options of fill, aspect and 1:1, or something in that sense.  Barrier will extend some image to fill the entire screen, look to stretch, but don't exchange not aspact and 1:1 ratio shows the game in any resolution that he uses. Trying to open my hotmail to my office screen and it will not open full screen I tried solutions for XP and Vista, but it did not help. And also some sites when I'm online does not open full page. It's a little annoying please help with a solution.

How did your problem related to Windows Update?

Close all but one of these small windows (Internert Explorer?). 'Catch' the corners of the remaining window with your cursor and 'stretch' up to size but do NOT maximize! Now close the resized window.

The resized window MUST be the last closed window so that its size remember.

Or you can install IE New Window Maximizer and forget it!

  • Windows to open full screen

Windows xp pack 3 home service where can I find the setting to have the Windows Open full screen instead of having to drag the sides or by clicking on the button max.

    Thank you

    Three options.

1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

You double click on an icon to open Internet Explorer?

If so, right-click on the icon and select Properties.
    Select the shortcut tab.
Change the value of the "run:" Maximized field
    Click on apply, then OK

Next time that you double-click the icon, it is a maximized window will open.

Since the last series of Windows updates, a newly opened window is about 25% of screen width and somewhere in the middle of the screen.  How can I configure to open fullscreen always?

    Hi TimLaidlaw,

    1. this happens with a window of the specific application or with all windows of the application?

    2. what happens when you try to enlarge the window?

You can try to maximize the windows and close it. Try to open it again and see if you can get a view full-screen.
