XML for Table Oracle issues

Hi all

I followed the Oracle example
http://www.Oracle.com/WebFolder/technetwork/tutorials/OBE/FMW/ODI/odi_11g/odi_project_xml-to-table/odi_project_xml-to-table.htm
to load XML data into the Table.

Somewhere, I am unable to do step 5 (all previous steps if successful) under the "Creation of a new model ODI target.
where it asks to selection of the STAGE AREA TO TARGET DIFFERENT layout.
When I do all the interface's corrupt under the target data store, all columns have a red mark. Unable to understand what goes wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you
-Ian.

Hello

Connection to the Manager of topology---> tab physical architecture---> Expand technologies---> develop engine Sunopsis-> Open SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE---> Goto context tab

If you do not get the Global context mapped with the logical schema can map it by going to the logical architecture---> technologies Expand tab---> develop engine Sunopsis---> rigth click on, then select Insert a logic diagram---> give a name to this logical schema and associate it with a context and a physical schema.

Thank you
Fati

  • Creating views for DB XML content in Oracle 9i (9.2.0.4.0)

    Hello

    Please excuse my ignorance but I searched on through reams of documentation on Oracle XML DB and is extremely difficult to get information about a specific version when it evolved as radically. I develop on Oracle 9.2.0.4.0 (I'd be happy to upgrade but unfortunately my clients are less enthusiastic!).

    My questions are how and why I would create views of the XML data to use in my application. I made a snippet of XML data (according to an XSD) that I need to load into the database and then provide view in read-only data. I managed to save my drawings and insert the XML into the underlying structures of the object relationship and I now need to create views.

    For as much as I can muster in 9i I must query XML data using extractValue, for example:

    SELECT extractValue(xseq.column_value, '//ReferenceNumber') REFERENCE
         , extractValue(xseq.column_value, '//ProviderName') PROVIDER_NAME
    FROM   EXTRACT e
         , TABLE(XMLSequence(extract(VALUE(e), '//Registration'))) xseq;
    I also managed to get the same results by directly accessing the column 'hidden ': XMLDATA

    SELECT xml."ReferenceNumber" REFERENCE, xml."Provider"."ProviderName" PROVIDER_NAME
    FROM   EXTRACT e
         , TABLE(e.xmldata."Registration") xml
    Issues related to the:
    (i) they are the only options I have to access the XML data in Oracle 9i? (XMLTable() looked quite interesting, but was unfortunately introduced in 10g)
    (II) given that I only need a read-only view of the data, are there benefits (other than speed) to be stored in object-relational tables as opposed to a CLOB?
    (III) is there a problem using the second method (cleaner) in relation to the first?

    Thanks a lot for you help,

    Tom Casserly

    (I) Yes. I'm sorry.
    (II) speed is the main advantage for storage GOLD regarding lead content (instead of CLOB--> pilot document by) queries. Other things I can think of is that it comforms to an XML schema, which is an advantage (you know that obey your XML file is the format defined) and a disadvantage (validation / grinding / and internal indexing off XML data will cost you performance).
    (III) it is (I think) not supported, less efficient then TABLE (XMLSequence (extract ()))

    I load this XML data file into a single table using an external Table. Could someone help me please with coding.

    Thank you

    Reva

    Could you please help me how to insert my XML content into that.

    Same as before, try a plain old INSERT:

    insert into xml_pecos

    values)

    XmlType (bfilename ('XML_DIR', "test.xml"), nls_charset_id ('AL32UTF8'))

    );

    But you'll probably hit the same limitation as with the binary XMLType table.

    In this case, you can use FTP to load the file as a resource in the XML DB repository.

    If the XML schema has been registered with the hierarchy enabled then the file will be automatically inserted into the table.

    Could you post the exact statement that you used to save the scheme?

    In the meantime, you can also read this article, I did a few years ago, it covers the XML DB features that may be useful here, including details on how to load the file via FTP:

    https://odieweblog.WordPress.com/2011/11/23/Oracle-XML-DB-a-practical-example/

    And documentation of the course: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e23094/xdb06stt.htm#ADXDB4672

    1. I registered successfully of the schemas in the database

    2. then I generate the saved schema table

    2. in my java code I have validated the document XML schema compared and it's valid successfully.

    3 but when I recorded this XML file in the generated table there me gives error

    As:

    INSERT INTO XMLTABLE

    Error report:

    ORA-19202: an error has occurred in the processing of XML

    LSX-00333: literal '94032000' is not valid with regard to the model

    And I have to store this xml in tables of this so what I have to do?

    Thanks for your reply odie_63.

    I got this my solution for the error. My XML document is not well structured based on my registered XML schema.

    Average in My XML Document is an invalid value and which do not match my schema model so it gives this error

    SQL error: ORA-31061: error XDB: XML error event

    ORA-19202: an error has occurred in the processing of XML

    LSX-00333: literal '94032000' is not valid with regard to the model

    For the Solution, we have two ways

    1. I changed this literal value "94032000" in my xml file, then save it.

    2.

    -To delete this schema can

    -We need to change the schema for the particular element model

    like: -.

    -then to store xml in the database, it works...

  • Collects statistics for tables using jobs in Oracle 11 G 11.2.0.1.0?

    Hello

    My query is regarding the collection of statistics for tables.

    My Version of Oracle DB is:

    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

    AMT for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

    In versions of prior oracle db, we used to schedule tasks to run on a daily basis for collecting statistics. Especially for tables that are frequent and huge inserts.

    I read that in 11g stats for all of the schema on a database are automatically make every night jobs. I checked these jobs and I see that they are running on a monthly basis [joined query]. This job is enabled and is scheduled to run monthly.
    This means that my diagram will be analyzed on a monthly basis. My understanding is correct?

    Can I still plan jobs to collect statistics for specific tables on every week? This will diminish the performance?
    We expect 100000 documents to insert on a daily basis.

  • the output of XML validation against the XML schema for the Oracle

    Hi all
    We have a requirement where we need to extract all the data from the client to the format of OIOXML (standard at the Denmark) and FTP data for data buyers. I need some information about how we can generate an XML in the specified format of user and validate the XML generated using Oracle Pl/Sql. Once a week we FTP almost 1 million documents, is possible to validate all data that we send. Please provide some guidance.

    Oracle version: 9.2.0.8

    Thanks in advance

    Hi all

    I have two VO based on sql queries. Both two VO do not have primary key. But the first VO have a single column of data.

    I view first VO in jspx page read-only table.

    When I get some data in the table using select listener I get valid data respected selection line but show massage on the console of the server is

    < error > < oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.CurrencyRowKeySet > < BEA-000000 > < ADFv: Rowkey has no primary key attributes. RowKey: oracle.jbo.Key [], table: oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl@1afe2b0. >

    I have displayed second page jspx VO and trying to do the same as above I do not get the data of the selected line. In a message on the console server is

    < WARNING > < oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlHierBinding > < BEA-000000 > < ADFv: no rows found for rowKey: [oracle.jbo.Key []]. >

    I saw the post below.   Can I add a variable transitional as key in second VO column? If yes how it is? It is a mandatory primary key for each VO?

    One size does not fit all: ADF BC - read only view objects and missing attributes PK - one issue of Passivation

    Yes and no, for certain actions, it is necessary to have a PK because it treats the line. A sample is the selection of lines. The framework keeps the rowkey, the pharmacokinetics of the line, when passing to store the current line. This key is passed for example to an another taskflow where data can be recovered again. This is the reason for which the framework must be a PK defined on each VO.

    If your table has a single column, you can set this column as the PK in the VO. It doesn't have to be the same as a PK defined in the DB (However it is the best way he can get confused to do otherwise). Simply mark the column a PK in the VO.

    Another thing you can try is to assign the VO

    setManageRowsByKey (true);

    Check ViewObjectImpl (Oracle Fusion Middleware Java QAnywhere for Oracle ADF Model) for more information.

    I run a slow simple query on Oracle 11.2.0.1 database server that does not use a xmlindex. Instead, a full table scan against the table eval binary xml occurs. This is the query:

          'http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/derived/fact/2010/03' AS "ns7"),
          '$doc/eval/derivedFacts/ns7:derivedFact' passing eval.object_value as "doc" columns defid varchar2(100) path 'ns7:defId'
           ) eval_xml
    where eval_xml.defid in ('59543','55208');
    The predicate is not selective at all - the number of rows returned is the same as the number of rows in table (325 550 in the eval table xml documents). When different values are used, which brings the number of lines down to ~ 33%, the xmlindex still is not used - as is expected in a purely relational XML environment.

    My question is why would'nt the xmlindex be used somehow full scan compared to a sweep of full table that cross the xml for each record in paper table eval?
    FFS suspicion would apply to a field of type xmlindex index?

    Here is the definition of xmlindex:

    Kind regards
    Rick Blanchard

    XMLIndex definition is not correct, for the following reasons:

    In the COLUMNS clause, the path expression is compared to the context from the main event of XQuery item (HERE "/ eval").
    If you use an initial slash as you did, this indicates that the context item is an element of "derivedFacts" (which is not correct since it is an "eval" element).
    Therefore, the path points to no existing node:

    derivedFact XMLTYPE path ''/derivedFacts/ns7:derivedFact'' virtual

    There is a mismatch between the statements of prefix ns7, probably a typing mistake?

    ''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/derived/fact/2010/03'' AS "ns7"
    ...
    ''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/derived/FACT/2010/03'' AS "ns7"

    What "eval_xml" is referring to here?

    passing eval_xml.derivedFact

    The path to "defId" don't go too:

    defId VARCHAR2(100) path ''/derivedFacts/ns7:derivedFact/ns7:defId''

    Try this one, it should help you to:

    CREATE INDEX "EVAL_XMLINDEX_IX" ON "EVAL" (OBJECT_VALUE)
    INDEXTYPE IS "XDB"."XMLINDEX" PARAMETERS (
    'XMLTable eval_idx_tab_I
      XMLNamespaces(''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/derived/fact/2010/03'' AS "ns7",
                    DEFAULT ''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/eval/2010/03''),
      ''/eval''
      COLUMNS
       eval_catt   VARCHAR2(50) path ''@category'',
       derivedFact XMLTYPE      path ''derivedFacts/ns7:derivedFact'' virtual
     XMLTable eval_idx_tab_II
      XMLNamespaces(''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/derived/fact/2010/03'' AS "ns7",
                    DEFAULT ''http://www.cigna.com/acme/domains/eval/2010/03''),
      ''/ns7:derivedFact'' passing derivedFact
      COLUMNS
       defId VARCHAR2(100) path ''ns7:defId'''
    );

    Indeed a few questions:

    (1) I don't see what possible use of this part:

    -- DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowTag ( ctx IN ctxHandle, rowTag IN VARCHAR2);
    -- DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowSetTag ( ctx IN ctxHandle, rowSetTag IN VARCHAR2);
    -- the name of the table as specified in our DTD
    DBMS_XMLGEN.SETROWSETTAG(l_context_handle,'zipcode s');
    -- the name of the data set as specified in our DTD
    DBMS_xmlgen.setRowTag(l_context_handle,'mappings') ;

    (2) not really a problem, but do not use UTL_FILE to read XML files. Oracle already provides the practice of methods or procedures to read XML efficiently with an call (see examples below).

    (3) in order to use the DBMS_XMLSTORE, the names of XML elements must match the columns in the table exactly, which is not the case here. If you cannot change the structure of the XML or the structure of the table to get an exact match, you can pre-process the file (with XSLT, for example).

    So, below is an example of using DBMS_XMLSTORE and an alternative with XMLTable that offers more flexibility:

    SQL> CREATE TABLE TRIALZIPCODES (
      2    STATE_ABBREVIATION VARCHAR2(20) NOT NULL
      3  , ZIPCODE NUMBER(10, 0) NOT NULL
      4  , ZIP_CODE_EXTN VARCHAR2(20)
      5  );

    Table created

    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL> DECLARE
      2
      3   xmldoc   clob;
      4   insCtx   DBMS_XMLStore.ctxType;
      5   dname    varchar2(20) := 'TEST_DIR';
      6   numrows  number;
      7
      8  BEGIN
      9
     10   xmldoc := dbms_xslprocessor.read2clob(dname, 'trial.xml');
     11
     12   insCtx := DBMS_XMLStore.newContext('TRIALZIPCODES');
     13   DBMS_XMLStore.setRowTag(insCtx, 'mappings');
     14   numrows := DBMS_XMLStore.insertXML(insCtx, xmldoc);
     15
     16   dbms_output.put_line('INSERT DONE '||TO_CHAR(numrows));
     17
     18   DBMS_XMLStore.closeContext(insCtx);
     19
     20  END;
     21  /

    INSERT DONE 2

  • CRUD for tables with large number of columns

    Hello

    I work for a government agency in Colombia, and we do a poll with about 1200 variables. Our database model has few paintings, but they have a large number of columns. Our Oracle 11 g database is, and we do not use Oracle APEX. I've read about APEX and it seems to be useful to generate quick forms and reports. However, I would like to know if it is possible to generate CRUD for tables with many columns, and that would be the best way to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Carlos.

    With the help of 250 point on a single page is actually really bad for the user experience. I would probably be it cut into pieces and using several pages to guide the customer through it as a workflow.

    You could also add some pop-up windows which includes some elements of your table, just saved on other pages. But I probably don't like that.

    Hi Nils

    12.1.3 WebLogic jdbc libraries are located in the MW_HOME/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jdbc_12.1.0 directory level.

    For this WLS jdbc driver is ojdbc7.jar which is loaded on startup of WLS.

    As mentioned on the post preceding this is is not compatible with the 11.1.1.7.3 MapViewer to display the ORDIMAGE. Seems that even the ojdbc6.jar that exists in this directory cannot be used.

    What to do is make the WLS Server uses the ojdbc6.jar for 11.1.1.7.3. There are different ways to use a different pot in WebLogic.

    This page http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1212/wls/JDBCA/third_party_drivers.htm was noted in this regard.

    As a quick test, you can try to make the ORDIMAGE with the following steps;

    (1) on page MapViewer OTN, Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer access downloads and download the quick start for the 11.1.1.7.3 Version.

    You will find the glassfish3/glassfish/domains/Domain1/lib folder a file jdbc ojdbc6.jar.

    (2) on your installation of a WebLogic domain:

    Navigate to the oracle_common/modules/oracle.jdbc_12.1.0 directory

    make a backup of ojdbc7.jar

    copy the ojdbc6.jar on top of ojdbc7.jar

    (3) start Weblogic server and try to make your theme ORDIMAGE.

    As I mentioned before, there are different ways to add a jar to WebLogic classpath. The quick test above is just replace the original ojdbc7.jar in a facility that is not good, as you lose you original ojdbc7.jar.

    Best regards.

    I'd use SQL/XML functions, more rapid way to generate XML from relational data data.

    Something like the following should you get.

    It displays a document (such as a CLOB) per line in the base table:

    with html_content as (
      select xmlcdata(
               xmlserialize(document
                 xmlelement("html"
                 , xmlelement("head"
                   , xmlelement("title", t.title)
                   , xmlelement("meta", xmlattributes('Keywords' as "name", t.keywords as "content"))
                   , xmlelement("meta", xmlattributes('description' as "name", t.description as "content"))
                   , xmlelement("meta", xmlattributes('user' as "name", t.user_ as "content"))
                   , xmlelement("meta", xmlattributes('EMAIL' as "name", t.email as "content"))
                   , xmlelement("meta", xmlattributes('Source' as "name", t.u_id as "content")) -- ??
                   )
                 , xmlelement("body"
                   , xmlelement("p", 'EMAIL: '||t.email)
                   , xmlelement("p", 'INITIATOR_FUNCTION: '||t.initiator_function)
                   , xmlelement("p", 'FUNCTION_IMPACTED: '||t.function_impacted)
                   , xmlelement("p", 'OLD_REQUEST_NUM: '||t.old_request_num)
                   , xmlelement("p", 'PROJECT_REGION: '||t.project_region)
                   )
                 )
                 indent
               )
             ) as content
      from test_xml t
    )
    select '' ||
           '' ||
           xmlserialize(document
             xmlelement("gsafeed"
             , xmlelement("header"
               , xmlelement("datasource", 'ID 1')
               , xmlelement("feedtype", 'full')
               )
             , xmlelement("group"
               , xmlelement("record"
                 , xmlattributes(
                     'true' as "crawl-immediately"
                   , 'http://test.com/searchresult.php?ID=1' as "url"
                   , 'add' as "action"
                   , 'text/html' as "mimetype"
                   , 'true' as "lock"
                   )
                 , xmlelement("content", html.content)
                 )
               )
             )
             indent
           )
    from html_content html ;

    NB: indent option is to print only, you can remove it if you don't need.

    Hello

    I am Consultant technical Oracle Apps HRMS.

    I wanted to know, if we can make Digital Signatures in the reports XML for HRMS application of Oracle 11i applications.

    If so, what is the approach to do so.

    Your prompt response is appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Jean Michel Sayyad.

    Hi Patrice,

    The BI Publisher standard part of EBS applications.

    Most of the EBS reports (R12) rely on BI Publisher.

    If you check the 'XML Publisher Administrator' responsibility, you can see all the models used in the application.

    Your technical team should already know this.

    On the other hand OBIEE need separate licenses.

    But for you would be BI Publisher.

    See you soon,.

    Vignesh
