So I have a question about Micro SD card storage
I don't have this phone, however, I have a question or two that I would like answered before decide me if I have to pull the trigger and pick one up.
Storage card SD pickups: with the micro sd card you are able to load music on the map, and then, when it is inserted in the phone, you are able to listen to music from the sd card?
How is music managed overall with external storage? I have my CD collection torn from my computer and I really wish I could just move to a micro sd card and listen to it.
Thank you
You shouldn't have problems playing music from the SD card as long as there is no DRM. If you ripped your music from a CD, you should be OK.

recommendation of micro sd card
Hi all
First post be so soft pls...
I recently bought the new sony tablet z2 - 32 GB WiFi with jelly bean 4.4 (kit kat).
My question to you all, this is what micro sd card do you recommend (mainly for the storage of film data and app)... I've been watching SanDisk Extreme pro 16 GB which has 95 MB/s read speed and write speed 90 MB/s... Any thoughts or other recommendations.
Thank you guys
IIS on kill or should I, for the same price, just go with 32 GB of SanDisk EXTREME PLUS 80 MB/S (read 80 MB/s, write 30md/sec) and get double the capacity
You don't need that much in terms of speed. Try a Sandisk or Sony class 10 or UHS-1 16/32 GB.

Deals on Micro SD cards.
Just ordered a 32 MB Sandisk Micro SDHC card with adapter and Mobilemate reader for $56,95 at Amazon. It is a class 2, and that will be fine. As you can see I'm green and I think that they will soon be in short supply. I'm kinda seening 'left only xx' at this price.
Please don't waste your time with flames and rants, I saw enough and not even read them. I'm happy with what I have, 3G no contract Xoom that works perfectly.

Lew, of Sandisk SDHC (class 2) is top shelf, when it comes to Cards microSD, and during a test, they are always better in read/write functions, often exceed the statistics for other manufacturers of class 4 cards. Be happy! I strongly encourage you and others to visit this site and read some professional and impartial information. -Dan

Cannot read the data in the Micro memory card reader
Original title: Micro memory card reader
When I plugged in my card reader to the USB port windows says that the device has been installed and ready, but my pictures came not, where should I go to find them. Am I missing something?
Hello
- What happens when you connect the card reader to a different USB port?
- Are you able to see the pictures when connected to another computer?
I suggest you save that data if it works on another computer and then try to format the card reader to the NTFS file system
How to get in shape?
1. open computer management by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-click computer management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. in the Navigation pane, under storage, click Disk Management.
3. right click on the volume that you want to format and then click on format.
4. to format the volume with the default settings, in the dialog box format, click OK, and then click OK again.

Programmatically determine if micro sd card encryption is enabled
I create the code that needs to require that the micro sd card has encryption enabled on it.
I so need programmatically determine that it is activated and if it is not my application must then leave.
(1) is there a way to tell?
It would be better if there was a way to tell which of the 3 types of encryption is enabled.
(2) if it is not a way, so is there a way to make sure that the BES has set a strategy which tells the BlackBerry this micro sd card encryption must be activated?
Thank you
Unfortunately, there is no mechanism in place today to allow you to determine if the contents of the SD card is encrypted or you can determine if a policy is in place to force encryption of the SD card on the device.
That said, the encryption on the SD card is intended to ensure the content of the SD card when removed from the unit. The user would have full access to all content on the SD card and would be able to copy the files from the SD via USB Mass Storage without encryption.
It is for this reason that we simply put in place encryption in the API itself (JSR-75) rather than expose APIs for what he. If you consider your content to the need for additional security, I encourage you to encrypt the content yourself based on the Crypto API on the device.

BlackBerry Smartphones Micro SD card not detected
I've recently upgraded to a 8 GB Micro SD card for my BlackBerry Curve 8310 from Micro SD 4 GB memory card. The prior card Lexar 4 GB Micro SD worked fine and required to movies, music, pictures, etc. However, when I've upgraded to a Kingston 8 GB Micro SD card, I have not been able to get the camera to recognize the Micro SD 8 GB card. I have updated the software on the device to version 4.5 and I am still having problems. I don't know if it's the brand of the chip or the chip itself which can be bad or if it's a question of BlackBerry or a software problem. Would welcome any help to solve the problem if it is something that can be solved. Otherwise, I'll return the chip and reinstall Micro SD 4 GB card.
Thank you.
Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8 GB card was not compatible with the previous device OS. A 8 GB card would only fully recognized
on the device OS 4.5. I would first reformat the card on the Blackberry now upgraded.
Use the following information to format the card and set the options correctly.
Thank you
Bifocals
Format the card in the use of BB:
Menu OPTIONS - MEDIA CARD - FORMAT key.
First of all, make sure that the following options are set:
Card support ON
NONE encryption mode
WE support mass storage
Auto enable mass storage support when it is connected TO
Thank you

I want to edit the partitions on a micro SD card
I have a Raspberry Pi 2B model I want to start on the boot on its micro SD card partition, then run the command Linux Raspian of the partition root on a USB Flash drive. (The ' file commandline.txt is replaced by direct run from the USB after booting linux.
I made an image file Raspbian Linux on my MBPro and created a micro SD for the raspberry Pi card and verified that it works correctly in the Pi.
I also have a picture of Raspbian Linux on a USB 32Gig.
My trouble lies in the use of BSD Unix and Mac disk utility tools. In particular, I can't use the 'fdisk' UNIX to remove the partition root of the micro SD card and I can not use BSD UNIX 'fdisk' too remove the 'boot' partition in the USB Flash drive.
I don't have another card reader that I can connect it to the Pi, or I could use the Linux 'fdisk' to remove the required partitions.
Any suggestions?
Have you tried using fdisk in the Terminal? I doubt he'll do anything you want, but it does not support dumping the partition table.
