• XOOM McDonalds WiFi connection problems

  I could not connect to the WiFi at McDonalds because you can't see the final screen where you OK connection. When you go through the process, you click on 'Connect' and then you go to another screen you OK but it does not show on the XOOM. What you get is a pop-up message from the browser and not McD that says you must press the Ok button, problem is I can't understand how to display that. Just OK'ing the message does not work.

  If you call technical support and ask them to manually connect, it works fine. Depending on the type of tech support the Xoom comes as an Android device, and he managed to connect manually. It seemed that it was a management problem of the popup with the browser.

• Xoom without WIFI or 3G (loading software, help, etc.)

  I am in Afghanistan. I bought a Xoom us and you want to use this thing here. You cannot share a PPPoE on WIFI on a PC so I'm cracking up.

  How can I get software on my Xoom, download the 3.1 update, etc.? I can't use the SD card because I'm not update 3.1 (I have 3.01) and I can't use WIFI because the Xoom does not have PPPoE and the impossible Xoom to surf through my PC to it's USB connection. Seriously frustrated here.

  I'm cracking up and in a war zone, which is not a good thing.

• Will buy the Xoom and use with MIFI

  I intend to buy the Xoom and use it only with Mifi (on the road) and my wireless router (at home), if I have to buy with Verizon CDMA, I'll do it, but I don't intend to start a plan with Verizon, I hope that it works for the units that are selling from 02/17/11.

  The XOOM has wifi, so your Mifi will work with him. you wouldn't buy a package given just the XOOM.

  The USB port on the Xoom does not currently feature host for USB drives or other storage devices. It does not allow the Xoom to be a connected to a PC as a device (the PC's host) to allow file transfers. Once honeycomb is updated to allow external storage, you must always apply android on the USB device or locally to run a prepaid program. You can use free WiFi at many public hotspots, WiFi only that I saw that you were going to a specific location for the (less flexible for me) access would require. You can, however, use a MiFi device to attach your Xoom out of a cell phone to use its data plan (some are pay as you go and others are unlimited). This gives you a mobile WiFi hotspot everywhere wherever you go.

  Before I pre-ordered the Razr Maxx I got two phones in mind the Huawei Ascend D XL or the Razr Maxx quad

  I got the razr like it comes out 1 when I needed a new phone and he had the next update end of June ICS.

• Still no ICS in my Xoom UK 3 G

  Everyone in the United Kingdom with a free 3G Xoom seems to be able to update to ICS, but I'm still 3.2 and when I press the system updates it says that it is up-to-date.
