  Maybe it of just a driver issue, I checked the downloads available for Tecra A10 on page of Toshiba and Windows 7 32 bit there is a newer driver available for Windows 7 64 bits do not (no driver). If you use the Vista 64 bit driver

  What you can do is to test the driver for the touchpad for Tecra A11. There is a version more recent for Windows 7 64 bit of Alps Electric so correct. Touchpad driver is not linked so I sure it will also work on your model of m.

  No MSDM tab is no product key. If the system is supposed to have one there is a problem with the motherboard (I've seen a few times, but it is very rare).

  You will need to call Technical Support Dell if the system is in warranty to have it replaced as the key is now considered to be material.

  The system will work well otherwise. If you have no guarantee that you will have to buy a new Windows license or you can install Windows 10 Technical Preview and hold out to see if you are upgraded to Windwos 10 for free or for a discount.

  The only place I know is on amazon.com where you should be able to find an OEM version of windows7 Pro. for about $100.  Good news, it is that it comes with a key and a disk.  Bad news is that the key is a unique thing.

  I'll give you a little advice if you go this route...

  If you perform a clean installation, a tip:

  After Windows 7 drivers system and all updates are installed and stable applications such as Microsoft Office are installed and updated, create a system image.  It will take 3 or 4 DVD + Rs (non - Rs) and about an hour.  When you are finished, you will have a very nice bit of insurance.  You must again and again re - build a damaged system or replacing a hard drive, you will have a double précis of your system as it was at this time.  You can restore this image on a hard drive in about 20 minutes.  Creating a System Image is in your menu in respect of Maintenance, backup and restore.  With this image, you never need a disc key or activation Win7.
