XPS issues 8500 - Dell 1073 802.11b/g/n network adapter.

I have a situation about 1073 802.11b/g/n with the network adapter.

I am connected to my router on the N network connection but my wireless network connection status only advise a 72.2 Mbps speed. I thought the speed using N would be up to 300 Mbps. My router is only 10 feet away. I had a play with the preinstalled Net Smart Atheros program, but it is worse. Does anyone else have questions or ideas why this is happening.

I have one similar problem and other with the same computer, XPS 8500 and the Dell Wireless 1703 I received 10 days ago. Played with him since then.

I found something that helped on the properties of the device on the Advanced tab, I noticed that 802.11n bandwidth has been set to 20 MHZ only, which changed to 20/40 Mhz Auto, which helped somewhat, not completely.

I see conflicting "information" too... the connectoid on the Systray shows 5 bars1 only 3 bars. Open some utilities like wireless assistant and he said 150 Mbps speed and sheer force of 50%. The State of Wi - Fi under properties of the map indicates 135Mbps?

I activated the settings of connections Atheros also, no help (where is there documentation on that and the HOTSPOT?).

In addition, out of the SLUMBER is a hit or Miss thing. I am to check EACH setting on all devices and power to ensure that the 1703 Option is NOT turned off during sleep, however returning most of the time that it does NOT immediately restore. Shortly after a short period is the will, other times I have to reconnect manually and rarely, NOTHING helps and I have to re - start.

Suggestions and help please? My computer is away from the router, but that other devices have NO problem. In addition, about the ONLY thing I can say is working properly is my Internet speed, which is 40Mbps down, 5Mbps upward, at least it's okay (but any connection above 40Mbps who would support).

  • Problems of internet connectivity with Dell Inspiron 7520 (1703 of Dell Wireless 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz)

    Hello

I bought a Dell Inspiron 7520 for a week now, and I had a strange problem with internet connectivity since then. First, wifi takes a lot of time to connect. After, I'm online, every 10 minutes my network access stops working completely. But if I click on the network icon in the toolbar, it starts working again, but it stops in the next 10 minutes, once again, and so on. If I try to fix connectivity problems, he always find and solve some in the network card or wireless, but then point again, after 10 minutes, or so, it happens again.

My network card is a Wireless Dell 1703 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz and I tried to update and to re - download the firmware, but nothing seems to fix.

What should I do to fix this?

Hello friends. Recently I came across the same problem identified by many with a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 7520 with the Dell Wireless 1703 (Atheros chipset). After losing an entire afternoon and looking at forums and their complaints, I think that I found the solution to the problem (at least, here is running).

The laptop is connected to a router TP-Link TL-WR740N. The router is configured to run with a frequency of 20 or 40 MHz, making the switch automatically in the factory. The mobile card wireless driver is configured to work only with 20 MHz at the factory. But can be configured to work with two frequencies is adapted automatically. To do this, change the configuration (in Windows 7):

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters > Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz) > click the Advanced tab > select 802.11n bandwidth. Change the value of Auto 20 MHz / 40 MHz.

Press OK and wait for to reconnect you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Qualcomm, atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n wifi adapter problem

Hi, if I can connect to the internet, but after a bit, I'm disconnected from the network. When I have the Troubleshoot, it indicates that there is a problem with my card. It is not a problem with my network as all other devices work correctly.

I use Windows 8; my laptop is a Pavilion dv6 - 3284ca; my wifi adapter is qualcomm, atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n wifi adapt

Let me know if you need more information.

You can try a USB wireless adapter. If it works, which will restrict the cause root. If it doesn't, it will restrict the issue to a conclusion. There is not a lot of troubleshooting on the left that you don't want to, so I think that an adapter is a good idea.

    Hello

I have a laptop HP 14 which is currently used for academic purposes. However, at the school, the WiFi is dual band, and so I can't connect.  At the moment I have a QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter and I am aware that is not double band. So is it possible to replace the current single band with a dual band adapter? Is it is possible to replace the card, then you have suggestions of what to buy and how to install the product in my book. If there is a free alternative, please keep me informed.

    Thanks in advance.

I have not tried again this update of the driver, but just put TWC to update my cable modem to dual band by using the strips of 2.5 G and 5G.

I'm afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop once again because I don't want to go to parrir the hassle of re - install all my software pd [posed again.

Y at - it a HP dual band WiFi adapter is recommended, and it is easy to install?

    Thank you

Laptops are as you order them or buy them as ready to ship models. They are not generally considered to be extensible to all. You can switch from desktop computers in general as much as the platform of the motherboard and BIOS allow.

Not as far as I know, HP makes no recommendataions on laptops and usb adapters.

Just do a search online with Googl, Bing or your search engine favoriteb for major brands such as ASUS, Linksys and Netgear. Check the reviews of the candidates you find and make sure they include drivers for the operating system that you have in your laptop. NewEgg.com is a good website to csome comparison shopping.

IF you want wifi nextgen features in the usb adapter and the chance to have a router nextgen with 802.11ac capacity of 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, then looking for the one that many people recommend.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3134tx: driver Ralink RT3090 802.11b/g/n Wifi adapter windows 10 (who need)

If, after doing some research intense and other things, I managed solve all the problems, but the wireless driver. According to my other post (I couldn't connect to a network at all). Now, I can not, because the physical address "collided with one, another".  I googled and it said that my driver was bad, it was the cause. So I uninstalled all drivers and one coming from the PC default is version 5.0.48 and I heard, you can get a + 5.0.50 which was designed specifically for windods 10. However, I can't come across a driver for windows 10 there are only 8/win7 and I've tried them all (literally) and still no luck. At least now, when I tried to connect with the drivers, my adapter didn't disable and re - activate itself.

  • Problem with Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapt

I changed some drivers and suddenly removed my old driver for the wireless card. So I found a new one on the HP site, to install it then. I tried different versions of this driver, but nothing has changed. My laptop is pavilion dv6-3020tx.

    Hello:

You did anything I would have done. I wonder if it's a hardware problem?

If you back up your files and perform a recovery system to the factory settings?

It would be the only thing left to try I can think of.

  • Laptop HP Pavillion: Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11b/g/n WIFI adapter not ANSWER DO NOT

    Hello

I just bought a HP Pavilion laptop 2 weeks ago and I noticed that it takes about 5 minutes to connect to the internet. It says I'm connected but the initial loading of a Web page takes awhile for some reason any.

What is the reason for this? Also I have recently upgraded to windows 10 category windows 8.1

Is there any other wireless adapters that I can spend?

    Please let me know

Solve problems by either restart your wireless router or by connecting to a different SSID, as in a cafeteria. It may be necessary to see if there is a problem in the configuration of your router.

Are you able to connect to your router wirelessly with other devices?

I have a HP Pavilion P7-1054 and my RealtecNetwork adapter does not work after installation of window 8, 64-bit.  Have an error "network adapter is not available.

Well, I think I got the LAN adaptors to work.  That I did use the HP System Recovery and load Windows 8, to my surprise, as I thought it was Windows 7 system in the computer.  Because it just to load the system and not the Applications when I checked this morning I had Internet and Email.  So I think that what has happened is the Internet of ESet security has done will not stop and this has prevented the loading of drivers.  So I thank you for your help, all right.  Now to learn a new operating system.
