y at - it a detailed explanation of the advanced options?

I was wondering if there is a document that details the options advanced.  The default values are selected to reject, refuse, drop.  However, if the user is not located and select continue instead to reject, what is the next step in authentication.

Here are my exact question:

If you select continue, where GBA seems next?

Look for the following rule in this access policy or does go to the next access policy?

Do not have a document but may try to explain in this post

There are three cases which can apply this configuration and for each case three options control the behavior of

The behavior of three options is:

-Reject: send a rejection of demand response

-Deposit: send no response on demand

-Continue: continue to assess the conditions of authorization policy

The three cases for which options can be configured are:

-Failed authentication: user name were found in ID store but a password is incorrect or the user is disabled

-Not found user: username was not found in one of the ID stores that have been assessed

-Process failed: couldn't get a response from the ID store

As I said, if continue is to select the continuous treatment to evaluate the permission policy for access service that was previously selected. No other service access is evaluated.

Note that in the authorization policy, there is an additional attribute that can be used to determine the special cases which occurred during authentication. The attribute is "Authentication status" and can take the values of 'AuthenicationPassed', 'AuthenticationFailed', 'ProcessError', 'UnknwonUser '.

So in the political authorization can define different results depending on the result of the "authentication status"; for example to set default VLAN

  • Explanation of the advanced options of MPEG2

Can someone explain - or point me to a resource that explains - these options in the settings of MPEG2?

    • Macroblock quantization?
    • VBV buffer size?
    • (Sensitivity/reduction) noise control?
    • Write SDE?
    • Intra DC Precision (bits 09/08/10)? (during tests 10bits gave much better results especially with graphics and scenes that are mostly white.)
    • Ignore the frame interval?

We are looking in using MPEG2 as a delivery and/or archiving codec and trying to get as close as possible to quality ProRes 422.

We tried broadband H264 and MPEG2, with excellent results. But MPEG2 gave amazing results with MUCH smaller files (about 15% of the ProRes.)

Try to understand these additional settings to optimize our conversion.

In addition, as a first step, I used the default settings of GOP frames of M 3 and 15 N, but with the size of the GOP of 1. Then I tried to deal with M and N to 1, but, against all odds, the outcome was worse, especially for graphics. It's not logical for me. I thought using I-frames was supposed to reduce artifacts?

AHA! Found the explanation of some elements:

When the speed/quality choice is 'Specify the quality', the next control is a slider that controls the quality. It's actually the macroblock quantization MPEG level. Valid values are from 2 to 31. Low this variable values mean better quality and higher throughput, so 2 is the highest quality and 31 is the lowest quality.

When the choice of the quality/Bitrate '"specify DΘbit' or 'Specify the quality' audio, the next control is a slider that controls the VPV MPEG service size of the buffer in units of 16 k bits. The meaning of this parameter is confusing because it is used to help predict if the MPEG decoder could suffer from buffer overflow or cost overruns. VBV buffer over/under flow are more often a problem in CBR mode. If the important objects are present in the generated movie, try to increase this setting.

    Windows 8

I want to do a factory reset and return to the first configuration of my Dell XPS, but when I click F8, it won't go to advanced options, as it normally should, I clicked several times on the F8 key before and after and and each time, but it never shows the advanced options should be , can help you on this? Thank you

I managed as well to recover my product key OEM Windows 8.1 :)

    Now, I've left two questions:

    (1) why the F8 key does not work as it should!

    (2) where the recovery partition? I mean I say I format the C: / drive, I'll still be able to save the factory OS or this partition is located in another hidden partition?

In fact my XPS is still under warranty, but when I contacted DELL support they told me by email that they are not able to call me because the PC was purchased from the United Kingdom and that I am not located in the United Kingdom they call me not, turn on! and after that, I asked just for the answers to my questions, but they still didn't have answer,

Just don't call it premium support because it is not

    1. the UEFI BIOS and SecureBoot so that the change in the way Windows 8.1 boots. So that the 8.1 Windows start faster than Windows 7, there is almost no time for the user to type F8. This method to access boot options is obsolete as Windows 8.1 simply boots to fast.

To get started, hold the SHIFT key while rebooting. Please see here for more details:

    2. the recovery partition resides on the same hard drive as a partition unlabelled. Check out this guide here, when I was testing Dell Backup and Recovery on a clean install using the version 1.7.1.2:

  • In the Advanced Options Menu that I used to have a last good known Configuration to select who is gone?

A while back I had to have my hard drive formatted and windows re-installed.  Advanced options, used to have a selection for the last good known Configuration. This selection is no longer there, but the other options as the safe mode and Boot normally.  This was a result of the hard drive being formatted? I'm more worried if this indicates a problem with the hard drive?

I've since upgraded to Windows XP, which has the system restore, so I don't know if the last known Configuration Option is necessary.

    Let me be frank.

This system is an old Windows 2000 upgraded to XP and it is low on RAM (384 MB) and low processor speed ~ 977 Mhz.

If you are thinking about replacing/upgrading, it would be a wise investment.

I know how to get emotionally attached to an older system, but one day you just I have to bite the bullet and get something more modern.

You may he likes not at first and can hate him, but with some time and when you get your new system composed with your exact settings you like, you'll start to it.

I've got 6 systems here who have bitten the teeth and never before seen power in months, but I can donate or use parts for someone who's biggest thrill in the world and what brings him smile in their face is playing Solitaire on a computer (or a visit to a dog... it's what I do sometimes).

If you have problems with XP, I can help you with this better than I can, but your system specs are barely minimum for a good system in XP.  You could probably make it work, but it often curse you that you operate.

That's just my opinion by observation.

  • WIN8 - system restore ends after a shift of reboot, and then in the advanced options

Ok.. for some reason any my laptop win 8 has just decided to update itself to win 8.1 - when he does this he discarded my profile and frog marched me through the creation of a new profile with a Microsoft account - something I DON'T WANT especially if I am supposed to connect a Microsoft umbilical cord on my credit card!

Not happy, I tried to do a system restore to an earlier point by making a shift-restart and then the selection of advanced point-to-point previous system restore options-

On this operation, you receive a warning that once started: the process cannot be interrupted or stopped... it was four hours ago his will... Now what?

Finally, why is Windows 8 so horribly difficult?

    Hello

Is your Windows 8, a copy retail or OEM (OEM)copy?

As you have already started the system restore and it does not end, the only option you have is to force restart the computer and check if you are able to boot to the desktop. If you are able to boot to the desktop, then check what operating system is installed at present. If you have Windows 8.1, the only option is to perform the refresh.

How to refresh, reset or restore your PC
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-PC

Note: Applications that you have installed Web sites and DVD is deleted. The applications provided with your PC and applications that you have installed in the Windows store will be resettled. Windows puts a list of apps removed on your desktop after you refresh your PC.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have other problems with Windows in the future.

  • Need a detailed explanation of the notifier wait

I did research notifiers for awhile now, but I am still confused by some of the explanations using LabVIEW.  Could someone please help me on this?  I can't understand what this means...

If ignore previous set to FALSE, each instance of the waiting on the Notification from multiple backgrounds to notify the service expects that if it did not receive notification. If one or more of the notifiers have newer messages that the timestamp has recently received by this function, the function returns all messages. Otherwise, the function expects.

If ignore previous set to TRUE, this function always expects a new message, even if the message notice is one that she has never seen before.

This feature does not remove the message from the author of the notification. Even if a specific instance of the function returns a message only once, other instances of the function or the function Wait on Notification repeat the message until you call the function to send a Notification with a new message.

I've been through the examples, but I still don't seem to get it.  Any help is appreciated and will be kudoed.

If the Ignore is set to TRUE, it means that the wait... going to sit and wait for a new notification.  This new notification will have to occur AFTER the wait... started waiting.  If a notification that happened before the wait... started to wait, that notification will be ignored.

Where I came across a problem was that I was using some filers to communicate between two subsystems and I came on a race as an Envoy condition data and waited for an acknowledgement, but the answer of the acknowledgement of receipt was fast enough that it was sent before the start of the waiting on the Notification.  And so I got errors.  Fortunately I had waiting times.

    Hi all

Can anyone help me to lift this toshiba Satellite and running for my sister inlaw, I currently have a model L300-149 PSLBOE (Windows Vista) here are the questions.

1 once turned on and boots the screen goes to the boot with the following result Manager
    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc00000e9
Info an unexpected i/o error has occurred

    2. If I power cycle and hold / press F8 the screen won't take me in the advanced options for me to start in safe mode

    Hello

This looks like a Windows problem. It seems that your Windows installation is muddled up and you need to reinstall the operating system.

If you cannot access the start menu advanced in the t, you must take the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings. Boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen everything that s and easy to use.

In addition the recovery disk will delete everything on HARD drive for backup files important first. ;)

  • That makes the option the Minimum processor state in the box options advanced a power Plan?

Original title: the Minimum processor state

What does the 'State of the Minimum processor' option in the Advanced Options of a power Plan area? If I put it at 50%, this means that Windows will feed the processor of the unnecessary calculations just to keep 50% of its capacity? If so, why would it be of any use? If this isn't the case, then what is its role?

    Thanks for any clarification,

    Rifdhan

    Hi Rifdhan,

The main reason you would set your option of the processor State Minimum to superior to the minimum (e.g. 50%) is if you run CPU intensive programs very and they would not work well at lower States of CPU.
Processors do not require a constant stream of information to operate at a certain speed. For example, if you have a 2.0 ghz processor and you set the State of minimum CPU at 50%, the lowest ever, it will fall to East 1.0 ghz, even at idle.
With your minimum fixed at 50% and maximum set to 100%, the real speed it works rest between these two values and the current amount of life battery will be factor in how quickly he chooses to run an average of 75%.
If you set your minimum to 5% and up to 100%, it will go down very low to preserve the life of the battery.
Hope this helps to understand how it works and I hope someone else can help to further clarify.
