Y at - it a hotkey to quickly navigate a clip?

In the montage of old films, I could a crank and fly in executives at any speed I wanted. I know that we have "rubbing" in Premiere Pro, but it seems a bit awkward, are not smooth like the rotation of the crank to hand used to be. If there was a shortcut as a shift left arrow or arrow key to the right shift which would hurry through executives, especially in view full frame, that would be nice. Is there something in the first Pro?

TIA,

Ken

Press the "K" key to Pause.

Press 'J' for reverse playback. Each subsequent tap of the 'K' key will speed up reverse playback.

  • Will there be strikes hotkey or quick drop to quickly get a VI documentation?

    Hi all:

Is there a way to quickly access property of a VI Documentation (perhaps using a keyboard shortcut) so that it saves time to make use of the usual click through a few menus?  This would save me a lot of time in the documentation I have much VI of the document.  I searched this forum and the lava, but so far I have not found anything useful.  I read on the post from Darren on the customization of the strikes, but I can't understand how I could do that for ownership of the Documentation of a VI.

    Thank you!

    -Desi

CTRL + I shows the properties of VI.  From there on, you must change the dropdown to "Documentation".  It's the fastest way I know.

But the dialog box properties VI recalled the last value drop-down list.  So next time you go to the properties of a VI, it will always be on the documentation.  So as long as you stay with the documentation, Ctrl + I option will take you to the VI Documentation.

  • Quick selector of clips to 0:37

Whats up guys, I was just wondering if there is an effect or transition in FCPX which reproduces the effect at about 0:37 seconds. Initially, it seems just to speed up the clip, but I can never get it just. Thanks for any advice you may have!

  • Slow WiFi on MacBook Air

I tried searching but preliminary questions are old or unanswered. My MacBook Air El Capitan 10.11.5 is extremely slow on my wifi, with loading sites slowly or not at all. My Dell laptop 3 + year, sitting right next to the Mac quickly navigates the wifi even.

I don't know what changes I can make network preferences (via DHCP, automatically configure the MAC address, etc.) Any suggestions?

  • I wish I could press a key digital while in my favorites and access this letter or digit in my list?

If you think about it, then you must accept.
As a user saves bookmarks (BM), the list grows and grows.
It takes time for the mouse scroll all BM join the BM desired.
Having the ability to press any alphanumeric while in those list BM can help speed up the process of getting to the part of the list of the world BANK that is desired.

Also, I'm always a bit sure about how WB separators can help me work with my BM selected.

My main goal here is to be able to open my list of WB and to quickly navigate to a particular WB in my list. For example, if I have a BM titled ski in the Alps, but I'm at the beginning of my long list so I want to be able to type in the letter "S", then in my list of BMs and jump right to the BMs, starting with the letter "S".

I realize now, after studying the writings on BM, I can use Tags. But this isn't what I'm looking for here. Suppose I want to just skip at the beginning of the "S" BMs in my list that do not have a tag. So in this case having the ability I am talking about here would be very useful.

If you open the bookmarks in the sidebar, and then you click to the left in the list of bookmarks and then pressing one or several letters will make Firefox jump to a bookmark that begins with those letters.

If you press more than one letter then you will need to act quickly enough to avoid starting a new search.

If pressing of ' and 'k' should get you to bookmark him begins with "sk", you can repeat this to go to the next match.
Note that this works only if the record with this bookmark is open and the bookmark or folder is visible.

  • Can I anchor the game style of new tools from dev to the right of the window as they were before?

In previous versions of Firefox, the dev tools had on background HTML and styles on the right. Now everything is anchored at the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to extend vertically up to the full window styles? I find it hard to quickly navigate to the bottom and I don't want to have to manage a separate window.

22 Firefox (current Aurora 22.0a2 she, but 21.0 beta is not) and later have this function that posted by idir to anchor the Inspector panel on the right, so you will have to wait 12 weeks to get it in a version of Firefox or have a look at Aurora (note that this version is updated daily).

  • How to install Plugins

I have an audio clip that will work only on my Mac as a plugin and not as a stand alone. In other words, unless I use it as a VST (not an AU) plug-in it will not work.
    That I know.

The installation is where I could get in trouble. To be precise, I work with older software: LE PIC 5.4.1 (to view and edit audio files) and his SOAP 5 as the plugin (for "clean" sound). But by clicking on the Start button SS ("learn noise") takes effect only for a few seconds instead of remain active for the duration of the 'noise' I play. Not active enough long to matter.

I don't quite know the Sound Soap VST plugin has been installed correctly. He appeared in Macintosh HD-> library-> Audio-> Plugins-> components.  "Components", this is where it ends up, and nowhere else. Is that how things should be?

    Dave

Logic Pro X use only 64-bit (AudioUnit) plugins not VSTs... and Logic Pro v9.1 or later... uses only 32-bit and 64-bit to THE Plugins... Again not VSTs...

Your path is correct for the Plugins to THE but there is also another place they can be stored... same path, but in the library to the user instead of the system one...

    Path of system lib is;

    / Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/components

Path of Lib user is;  (Note the tilde (~) symbol at the beginning of the way...)

    ~/Library/audio/plug-ins/components

Copy and paste these paths into the go > go to folder in the Finder menu... will allow you to quickly navigate to them.

    In any case...

The problem could simply be that the plugin is old and/or incompatible or broken under modern LPX or even later LP9 versions... or even you can not use properly.

Contact the dev of this plugin to advise and help...

    See you soon...

  • How to see the names of files in the finder window?

I have no idea how this setting has changed on me, but I can't figure out how to make it stop. Whenever I have save a file in El Capitan, the first column is at times back up, so I can't see the files that have been saved today. Then, I see the usual update, the Date added etc. I have never used this way the finder and always prefer to see the name of the file in the Finder to save the window in the first column to quickly navigate and the nested records.

Check my laptop running Yosemite, I can see this expected behavior and file/folder name is the first column of the windows backup. How can I get this feature in El Capitan?

Okay, just understand it myself. Go to this icon:

  • New videos appears in the Photos, but not in iMovie

Already when I imported video clips in iPhotos, the clips were made automatically available in iMovie so. Now, when I import video clips in Photos, it is made available in Photos but not in iMovie. Old clips still appear in iMovie, but not the new clips. It is not possible to import new clips with iMovie import function as iMovie cannot locate the file. Photo library only appears as a file in the Finder, and it cannot be opened with any program other than pictures.

How can I get the clips in iMovie?

Version 1.2 (340.4.0) of the Photos

    iMovie 10.0.9

    Hi a random string,.

The workflow I've always used is to create a folder for the videos and photos that I use in my video project and export (or drag) according to Photos or Aperture or iPhoto library in the folder.  Then use the Finder application to import the files into iMovie.

The following resources explain why you can't see the Photos in the media browser:

If the media browser shows all your photo library
    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204669

Sometimes the media browser, which allows applications like iMovie or Pages use images, pictures, shows all the available photos to your photo library.

This happens when you use iCloud photo library with the preference to optimize Mac storage enabled.

The media browser shows pictures that have the original image or a full preview size stored on your Mac. You can make a photo available temporarily for the media browser by double-clicking on it. This will download the original to your Mac, where it will be available in the media browser so that Photos optimizes still to save disk space.

If you want to take pictures in permanently available Photos in the media browser, follow these steps:

    1. Select file > New Album... from the menu bar of Photos. Name the new album.
    2. Click on the photos you want to make available in the media browser.
    3. Click the Add button.
    4. Click on the Albums tab at the top of Photos and find the new album you created.
    5. CTRL-click (or right-click) the album, then select Download this Mac originals.

This will download the full resolution of the images you have selected for your Mac, which makes them available at all times in the media browser.

Note: You can do all the photos in your photo library available at all times for the media browser allowing to download the originals of the Mac in the preferences of Photos, but you will lose the benefits of clutter in preference to optimize Mac storage.

Import media by dragging it from the Finder

    • Select a file, command-click to select several files, or select a folder of files and do drag the selection from the Finder to the event in the list of libraries in iMovie.

The clips appear in the event.

Import using the import window media

    1. If the media you want to import is on an external hard drive, connect it to your Mac and turn it on.

    2. Click Import on the toolbar.

    3. In the devices section of the sidebar of the import window, select the drive or device you want to import media.

The contents of the drive or device is displayed in a list at the bottom of the import window. You can individually select the clipsin the list view, and a preview of the selected item appears at the top of the import window.

You can perform the following actions:

      • To sort videos in the view of list data such as time, creation date, size and so on: click on the column at the top of the display of the list headers.

      • To add a folder of press frequently used in the Favorites folder: drag a folder from the list on the right of the 'Favorites' header in the sidebar.

      • To remove a folder from the favorite section: Ctrl-click on the folder and select Remove from the context menu in the sidebar.

    4. To quickly navigate between the clips, fast forward or rewind, move the pointer over the preview at the top of the import window, and do one of the following:

      • To play or pause the selected clip: click on the Play button (or press the space bar).

      • To access the next or previous item: click the next or previous button.

Note: If you are at or near the end of the selected item, you can click the back button to return at the beginning of the clip.

      • For fast forward: move the pointer over the following button and hold down the mouse or trackpad button.

      • To move backward: move the pointer on the back button and hold down the mouse or trackpad button.

    5. Do one of the following:

    • Choose an existing event to import clips in: select the event in the context menu "import to" at the top of the import window.

    • To create a new event to import clips in: choose new event from the context menu "import to", type a name for the new event and click OK.

To learn more about the events, see organize the library.

  • Do one of the following:

    • To import all plans: click all import.

    • To import only some of the clips: command-click on each clip that you want to import, then click Import selected (the button import changes its name).

Close the import window, and your clips appear in the event. According to the length of each element and the number of clips that you import, you can see a progress indicator in the upper right of the window, while the clips are imported.

You can continue working in iMovie, then import finishes.

  • Happy holidays!

  • By clicking several times for switching Applications and other problems of Click

I would like to know when it started, because then maybe I could narrow it down. I have actually some problems, but I strongly suspect that they are related. I do not think that this started immediately when I upgraded to El Capitan, but I can't say when it started.

    1. If I Mail to Safari and I click on Safari to bring it forward, nothing happens. If I click a second time, then Safari comes forward. The problem is not limited to these two requests. Maps, Finder, TextEdit and others do, but it doesn't happen in all cases. For example, if I click on a TextEdit window it before now, but if TextEdit is in front, the other application is not until the second click.

    2. If I double-click a file or application in the Finder, it tries to open the point three times. This usually results in two dialog boxes telling me that the application cannot be opened because the third opens.

    3. I have my user folder and disk in my dock to quickly navigate to a specific folder using the grid. However, when I click on an item in the grid, the icon blinks but nothing happens and the view disappears, won't let me choose something or drilling to the location I wanted.

    What I tried

A different user account - another user account, all right. It tells me that the problem is at my user account level and not at the level of the system. It's good, almost.

Connection with the elements of wide opening (SHIFT key is pressed) - This resulted in no change in the above problems.

Watch the Console - I ran the Console to see if all the messages when problems occurred. Zip fastening. Zilch. Nada.

    What I think

I am sure that this is a problem with an article by third party due to the fact that it happens to other users on the same computer, but since this is not an element of connection, so I'm stumped on how to refine the problem down to find the cause.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Okay i ' l jump to... Maybe you're more think it is a little. Have you tried another mouse or trackpad, then a reboot before going too far into other possible problems?

  • slow web treatment

I have a brand new HP Envy Phoenix 810 (12 G of Ram).  It should be a screamer.  However, when I have access to the web, it's pathetic.  I have a point of google search and response is fast, but when I try to navigate a given page it is painfully slow and sometimes expires.  I'm 10 years old Sony Vaio XP on the network as well.  Just these tow machines.   If I run identical research side-by-side the old XP has no problem quickly navigate.   Very disappointed with HP Phoenix.  It's ass kicked out a 10 yr old XP Sony.

HP technical support will not help!

Any who have all the answers will be browsing the web with the new machine is so slow.  Speed was fine for 1 month or two, then it went to hell verrrrrry sloooooowly.

The display of speed test shows a similar speed of the ISP, so there must be a problem installing with the newer PC.  Repetition of what AIOweb asked, what browser is being used?  Try FireFox or Google Chrome.  I think that IE has a problem on the new computer.

  • What is the best alternative to the database?

I collect (alarm & meter) data of several standard features that have the memory and RTC.  Therefore, I must take into account the fact that the data collected will not time and I perhaps need to summarize data recently collected in existing records and then replace the record.  It is possible to reach about 50,000 files per month.  In addition, I add the data and chart hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, etc.  Playback speed is therefore very important for the interaction with the user.

Can anyone recommend the type file or data management best practice for this?  I use LV 8.5, so would use TDMS but cannot replace records in this version.  Currently, I settled on MGI read/write anything, but it's the best solution?  I would like to avoid DB Connectivity Toolkit and don't think that I'd get an advantage of speed anyway.  I just need the best way to remove an individual folder, overwrite it and quickly navigate the entire file.

Are there other tools in future versions of LV other than to crush the TDMS files?

    Clint

Consider SQLite, a very quick "database to a file.  wrapper of LabVIEW that I use is here; any necessary DB connectivity kit.   All the stuff you describe is easy in SQL.  Write speed is greater than 100 k per second timestamped readings, and the playback speed is higher.  You need to upgrade your LabVIEW 8.5, however.

    Hello world

Once this happened to me a few times, I just started to keep a current backup of all files in the AutomaticDestinations and CustomDestinations files.

I created 2 subfolders in the My Documents folder, for my user profile, named:

    BU AutomaticDestinations and DRANK CustomDestinations.

Once a week or after the pin/unpin all items in jump lists, I simply copy the content of the AutomaticDestinations and CustomDestinations files in the folder appropriate Bu.

If I lose nothing in any of the lists of shortcuts, I can simply replace the contents of the file with the contents of the folder BU and everything is restored.

  • Modification of the Hosts file

I'm trying to edit the file hosts on my laptop, but can't seem to find it in the usual place: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. Everything is in this folder are the following files:

    hosts. ICS
    LMHOSTS. Sam
    networks
    Protocol
    services

Is there another location for the hosts file? I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (rel. 6.1.7601, service pack 1) on a 64-bit HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx laptop. The file 'hosts.ics' is the same as the [missing]? file "hosts"? Any help would be appreciated.

The hosts.ics is a configuration file for Internet connection sharing. If you want to add the static IP mapping, you should now edit the file hosts , not the hosts.ics.

There is really only one location for the file hosts . namely c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc or % SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Drivers\Etc. make sure you have the Show hidden files folders and drives in Explorer, tools, folder, display, Advanced Settings Options.

Start by clicking Start or tapping on the Windows key and typing notepad.exe , then hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter together or right click on the menu item start Notepad choosing run as administrator. Acknowledge the UAC warning and supply references if requested. This gives you the privileges that are required to modify the hosts file.

Press Ctrl + O (aka file, open) and first of all to define the type of files to the list/save all the files in the lower right corner. Type or paste %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Drivers\Etc in the file name: text box and hit Enter or click Open to quickly navigate to the etc folder.

If you do not have a hosts file, create one with two lines.

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    : 1 localhost

These are unnecessary, because the localhost name resolution is managed in the DNS, but it will help you get started. Add your static IP mapping lines as needed.

When you save the file in Notepad, make sure the file type is set to all files or Notepad will add the file name .txt.

Thanks for the reply. Just as I suspected.

14 elements of first (the most recent version and just came out) has undergone changes in its mounting Panel. Especially ones involving audio tracks.

Please refer to point 2 at the top of my blog first elements 14 First Look details ATR first troubleshooting items: first items 14 First Look details

If you have the first 13 items, you do not have the muting of the audio track to which you were referred. In the first elements 13/13.1, these icons to the left of the track name are for display only - style for videos, 4 display styles to select from and for audio 2 display styles to choose one (with as wave and no waveform). But nothing of what I just wrote will influence your elements first 13 base want to silence the audio when you scroll the contents of the timeline.

    A possibility to explore

1 video 1 video track with audio related on the Audio 1 track. And you want to scroll the timeline without the sound.

    2. open the Audio Mixer (mixer Audio/Menu Tools table) and put a check mark next to the button Mute for 1 Audio track. Resize the Audio Mixer Panel, it is out of your way, but you always silent access to the box.

    3. put the box of Mute, when you do not want sound. Remove the check mark for mute when you do not want sound.

I'll think about it even more.
