Y at - it a shortcut to auto select group/layer?

I really use this feature all the time and it's nerve cracking up every time the options bar, and then select group/layer.

Help, please. It will be a life saver.

Thanks in advance.

After selecting the layer as above, release the ALT key and press the ctrl key to simply move the selected layer.

    Hello everyone.

Since the last update a few hours back, automatic selection no longer works as before.

At first I thought that it was simply does not work. I made sure that the "auto select Layers" has been checked in the move tool, I went to the Brush tool, which held the key CTRL pressed to activate temporarily move and... Nothing.

The move tool on his own photo works perfectly well and as expected.

Here's the kicker: uncheck "auto select Layers" and selects automatically-move tool temporary anything and everything new.

Now, maybe you weren't around the last time this happened, so here's an update:Re: PS CC 2014 move tool Bug?

The last time it was changed back. I guess it was just a misstep, I realize the selection Auto is a complex code and all, but please fix it. This time less than 3 months time, if possible.

It has been fixed in 2015.1.1. Available now.

    My apologies for the inconvenience.

  • Toggle Auto Select?

Auto select layer/group the move tool can be really handy when you have a ton of layers. But it also drives me crazy when I forget to turn it off!

I hope that this will be a simple query to answer.

I would like to have first auto select a clip on the timeline via the position of the read head.

For example: if I use the top & arrows to go to edit next and then I want the clips auto select when the playback head jumps to the next clip.

I'm trying to come from Avid, but I really miss this behavior in the first.

It is a new feature in Premiere Pro CC 2015. It did not exist for the OP in 2012 with CS6. I've marked it is correct for the current behavior of CC 2015. I hope it's OK.

  • auto select layer

After moving to Win 7 I reinstalled CS5. And have forgotten how I managed to put something on "auto select the right layer." For example, clicking on the text of a text layer used to select the layer, click on a selected form the proper shape layer. A parameter that I use for this and where can I find it? Must have written it down...

If you select the move tool, automatic selection appears as a box of graduation of the Options bar left.    If you foget later that it is active, and wonder why things have gone weird on you, just disable it again.

  • How to get key command key to toggle only the feature "select automatically layer... »

    Hello world

Without updates or changes in preferences I know, PS began to work differently for me today. With the tool move I normally have the option 'automatic selection of layer... '. "on. I can then select subgroups in my layers palette, hold down the command toggle button temporarily «automatically select layer...» " offshoreand drag this subgroup around the canvas.

Today when I toggle the button «Auto select layer...» ' on, now the command temporarily switch it out.

But when I switch the "layer select automatically...". "button off, holding command modifies the 'Group of layers' option next to him.

Anyone know why this just started happening, or how I change it back and leave the command button to temporarily keep the selected subgroups ?

  • Select a layer invisible before

I am writing an action. I have two layers visible and above the invisible layer. [When I press Alt +] invisible layer does not select. Is there a way to select the layer forward, although it is invisible, without using a mouse?

You might be able to use an action something like this:

Before you run the action with the not visible color fill layer

After the execution of the action to select the fill color now visible and selected layer.

You have to experiment the action according to the number of layers, and where in the stack of invisible layers are.

For the the second stage of the action of the layer current Show that makes all invisible layers visible, stop recording the action after selecting all layers ( Select > all layers) and make the invisible layers using the layer > hide layers

Then resume recording of the action and go to layer > show layers.
