• Why not "item 10 only editor" allow the use of Nik Software plug-ins?

  I was very happy yesterday when I noticed in the Apple App store a version of items called "Item 10 only editor" was for sale.  Since I never use the Organizer is perfect for me.  Unfortunately, it will not Nik software plugins to install.   There are no "plugins folder" included.  In every other sense, the "Editor elements 10 only" version is wonderful.  Load fast, tracks clean and fast and is just something wonderful and something that I was hoping would come along the years.  I can't believe that adobe does not allow for the use of plug-ins.  Looks like I've lost only $80.

• Size different players for different tasks?

  I have read the generic guidelines and have a question about using disks of different sizes and how best to use them for what tasks. Regarding the RAID, I'm not prepared to cope with the complexity and the inevitable failures involved. At a later date, perhaps. For the moment I can't imagine working on projects of more than 30 minutes in length, most would be significantly lower.

  I am considering using players separated for each of these tasks:

  • 500 GB drive internal, dedicated pagefile Win7
  • Media Audio internal, 500 GB (same drive used by my PT score)
  • 500 GB Internal, video Cache (cleaned on a regular basis but is it big enough?)
  • 750 GB internal, yet of the photos (same drive used for suite OnOne Photo Photoshop and LR)
  • Export of internal video, 3 TB (regularly archived to removable storage)
  • 3 TB internal, projects
  • 4 TB anchored, raw video from various sources (multiple cameras, TotalRecorder catches, etc..)

  I feel like 3 TB might be overkill just for projects. I am considering exchanging the audio disc by the project.

  As to your actual question, I think that having many, many readers is fabulous, but I'm able to work very well with a SSD system drive, two RAIDs consisting of two discs each (for speed) and one big disk for exports. So, basically, four places to put things.

  I put my video and audio on the same RAID, the previews and cache on another RAID, projects and exports on the standalone player, and the SSD is just for Windows and programs.

  If I start editing 4K on this system, I will probably reorganize a bit to extract the audio on the source media player. As it is, this system is maxed out on discs unless I have add a controller card.

  The way you stated it will work fine. Overkill maybe, but you should not detect the bottlenecks of your orders until you go to 4K video. Once you do this, you will need to go to the RAID. Perhaps more of two disks. 4K editing requires some serious training speed.

• Stuck in the loop of the license of this software - Adobe has no idea CC2014

  For weeks now, I was stuck in a loop of having to "license this software" or "Starting the trial", when you try to start any Application of CC. I started, because I downloaded CC2014 and also occurs when you try to start my old apps CC.

  Have been on mail and phone with Support Adobe several times and for hours. Support has been very helpful, but after remotely, they tried to do almost everything with my Mac and installing CC, it is clear that Adobe have no idea what is causing the problem.

  The forums are full of solutions to that of other users with the same issue, but none of this helps. I have and support have tried everything.

  I'm a little more luck than others, since I can run my Adobe applications in trial mode but with left (?) 00 days. Others may even open their applications.

  I am posting this in hopes to gather all experiences I and other users have this troubleshooting with Adobe. I have case No.: 0185617726 that has now taken the magnitude for the third time.

  Just completed another session of 2 hours on the phone with support and they finally found the question :-)

  For some reason, there was a time offset in the log files (~/Library/Logs/amt3log) opened in the Console and the current OS time/clock set automatically by my time zone.

  Supporters managed to align the time while he was good in the BONES and newspapers (don't know how but terminal performer of some commands etc.)

  My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

  Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

  Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

  (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g version 11.1.0.6.0 is

  (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

  (3) web Server: Web Logic 10.3.6.0 and JDK 1.7.0_09

  (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

  (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

  I just installed the 3 parties with WebLogic 10.3.6 and JDK 1.7.0_09 as below:

  (1) install ADR (Application Development Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

  (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

  (3) create a new WebLogic "Domain_CS" domain to develop the application for admission online.

  I have no experience to develop the Web Application using ADF. I have developed a few Web Applications using NetBean and database server. It seems that the ADF and NetBean have some similarities. Both need to create a project with a 'Web - INF' file for Web Application development. But I don't know the first step to start the ADF to call the wizard.

  My question is:

  What command and what directory to start ADF and call the wizard in order to develop the Web Application?

  You don't need to install JDev WLS directory.

  What you end up doing, is take the application (EAR/WAR file) you create in JDeveloper and deploy in the WebLogic.

  JDeveloper will be in a separate Directory.

• G25-AV513: Questions about the use of this device

  I recently bought the Qosmio G25-AV513 but it was an open box, so I went back there and has been convinced, it was beautiful... so I started to set up at home and low and behold... bad pixels. So I went back and asked when would happen more... and I was told no more are regular and doubtful if they will be. But they have another oped model that runs like new...

  So the question I have. I'll buy this mainly for use high game... dunno if I should adjust for this model... now that I know, that a newer version came in the second week of January... but if it is not suitable for use games and audio/video I lost out on the G25.

  All recommendations... ?
  Do you think that this new model would be the next progression or and a good bet... or just different and not worth risking the g25 on.

  Of course, you have an American machine and the hardware configuration is not known to me. The fact is that each new unit has especially more recent pieces of material (more MB on graphics card) or more of RAM. Qosmio G20 G25 United States is a great unit. A friend of mine has one and the game works fine.

  In my view, you can compare your device with a newer version, but if you like playing games, in my opinion, the G25 is the right one.
