  Everything you need to know is the hardware ID's for the missing devices, google and you will normally find the answer to what drivers you need.

  I had read the guide to upgrade windows 7 dv6000 to find out if there are suggestions that are of help to you.

  I have a dv6000 model newer than yours I gave suite (dv6810us) with the nvidia chipset and amd processor, and he ran W7 x 64 very well.  No problem at all.  That one had the Nvidia 7150 graphics.

  Just using the support page Vista drivers worked for me.

  The only drivers W7 I used were the quick launch buttons driver that I posted for you and the software of wireless assistant W7 (required only if you want to turn the cards wireless and bluetooth on and off separately).

  Let me see if I can answer all your questions. When there is no drivers on your HP software & driver page, it means that HP is currently not drivers for this operating system for your PC model. Sometimes it's because of the drivers HP are not made or tested on systems that are not designed for any other OS, and sometimes, that means that HP got not only to provide drivers for this OS for your PC. In your case, because your PC is two years old, it's probably HP doesn't provide Win 7 drivers for your PC. But this does not mean that you cannot upgrade to Windows 7 on your own with a new installation of Microsoft. Many of your drivers will be charged by the Win 7 system, but for those devices that do not work after the installation, you can usually find the drivers on the web site of the original equipment manufacturer. For example, if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, NVIDIA.com will provide a driver Win 7.

  Your current Vista drivers will probably not work in Win 7, but it is difficult to say with certainty because some software and drivers are compatible, so it's really a case by case basis. But it is best to just assume that they work and then find the drivers that you know will be.

  Now, to help you find the drivers for your PC. Here are a few that you will probably need if you upgrade to Windows 7:

HP support site advises to use Windows updates to update drivers or visit the manufacturer's Web site. Problem is I need an Internet connection to run Windows Update but cannot find the Ralink Wireless drivers. Looking for Ralink manufacturers website I find http://www.ralinktech.com/en/ (which States that the Ralink site merged with the Web of MediaTek site and one for pilots redirects to http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downloads/01_windows.php). Maybe somebody has an idea which driver I'm supposed to use? Updates of Windows actually work?
