  Have a HP Pavilion 15-p157na with a defective keyboard, probably because of water damage.  The usual kind of associated problems that (some keys do not work, some are the symbol of bad etc.).

  I want to fix, and a previous thread showed me http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04324972 as a guide on how to disconnect the top plate.

  My questions are;

  (a) is it possible to replace just the keyboard without having to replace the top plate - what digital keyboard part do I need?

  (b) If this is not possible and I need a whole new top plate, where I'd get a / what is the part number?

  See page 19 and 20. HP catalogs the part the top of cover everything including keyboard and exactly what one you need depends on the color of the chassis and the language of the keyboard. Third party service providers will sell just the keyboard and it is inseparable from its hood. See p. 70. The manual does not show the removal of the keyboard of his hood then you will need to return it and examine it. We usually got him with some few screws and hooks that are perhaps shortly Ribbon.

  I tried to open it, but after the keyboard, hard drive, Rams, OVOCHECK and 40-50 screws and some cables, I realized I have to get out the motherboard and screen mabe and I close it again after 3-4 hours. The cpu fan has been breaking and I don't know what to do.

  I am from Greece. If I go to the toshiba in Greece, I can find a cpu fan or any system cpu radiator? Can you help me?

  Looks like the fan needs to be replaced and therefore, you should contact the closest service provider authorized in your country. Guys can order a replacement part and swap it out.

  Sorry, but everything that s what I can say. Here it s only a user forum so I think no one knows the exact number of part or a manual how to take apart the laptop but the ASP can do for you. :)

  I live in South Africa and have one of the retina MacBook Pro 15 "(mid - 2012).  A message appeared recently advising "Condition: replace now."  We approached Apple in Cape Town (South Africa) providers and received two different answers on what needs to be repaired and what would be the cost.  First of all, we were told that battery and top case had to be replaced at a cost of 5268.00 South African Rand.  When you take the computer repair, told that the keyboard was also being replaced with the battery and the top box, and that the price had esculated to South African Rand 12600.00 (for the part or parts only).

  Could we inform you on what needs to be repaired/replaced in such a circumstance? And the planned price range should be for repairs/parts.

With the water damage, the value will be much less.
