Hello

Apple MacBook Pro 13 of retina (Mid2015), I bought it in December 2015. The default OS X was Yosemite, I updated system to OS X El Capitan.

In the AppStore, I am able to download only OS El Capitan. How can I download Yosemite?

Thank you.

  • Unable to access several sites and install apps in the appstore. A possible malware issue. What should I do?

    Hey guys,.

I am using a 8 GB Mac Mini with an i5 processor clocked at 2.6 GHz Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F27).

I don't have problems with this until I visited a torrent site (I hate invited but unfortunately I did this time). Since that unfortunate activity, I get mackeeper pop ups and my search engines by default on all my browsers like Safari, Firefox and chrome automatically replaced by trovi. I can't access to 90% of websites like YouTube except facebook, twitter, Netflix, gmail, google, yahoo and other email clients. I get a "cannot connect" on firefox and messages error 'Safari cannot connect to the server. I checked with the ISP settings and proxy but no problem there as my other devices such as the ipad and the iphone apple work fine on the same wifi network. I erased all the extensions, cookies and cache but without success.

I am also unable to access the app store to install applications. I wanted to make its own memory and a removal of the malware, but couldn't that since the appstore could not contact the server.

I mainly use this machine for audio production and browsing through Logic Pro X.

What is a malware problem? If so, how to fight that? Should I format my HD and upgrade to El Capitan? Who will solve the problem?

    Kindly help.

  • Help! Currently on Yosemite... want to reuse the opening!

I have Yosemite, I have my aperture venus original in BOX 3. I think my computer has version 3.4.5 but I can't open it, it has an X through it. How can I use open again?

Only opening 3.6 can work on Yosemite.  Apple has stopped the development of the opening, then you cannot install the update to 3.6 opening, unless you have a version of opening that appears in your history of purchases (the fourth tab) of the AppStore.

    • If the opening is in your purchase history, quit the AppStore, remove version Crusaders from Applications, (not to empty the Recycle Bin, so you can put it back), open the AppStore, the fourth tab, and then click install to reinstall the opening. This should install it the updated version.
    • If the opening is not in your purchase history, you can only refresh opening with the help of the Apple Support.  Call Apple support and talk to them by providing a code of redemption, so you can download the update.  You have to be very insistent, because they usually refuse to provide the code, because the opening is no longer supported.

More details here: update to Aperture 3.6 after the release of Photos

If everything fails, you can run opening 3.4.5 on Yosemite, but it is heavy:

    • Select the Crusaders on the icon to open, ctrl-click and use the command "Show Package Content".
    • Open the content subfolder, then MacOS.
    • Inside is an application - opening. Double-click it to run it.  Enter your registration code.
  • Cannot install updates via the Appstore or manually

Hi everyone, Im new to this Forum and need your help.

I'm trying to update my OS, but it simply doesn't. Ive been at the Apple Store but they could not help either.

When I install via Appstore it charge but sticks to 0.00 GB and just stops and goes back to default. If manually, I download and install Combo, it installs in 1 second (obviously do not install) and stops after installing nothing requiring a reboot but nothing happens. The Apple Store has could directly and manually update 10.11.1 to 10.11.3 but they could not explain the problem. I also had this problem in Yosemite.

    Help, please!

    Best,

    David

  • Upgrade of the Mavericks (10.9.5) in Yosemite

Hello. I have an iMac 21.5 mid 2010. There were a few problems with the BIOS of my computer (like told me in service), then, when I tried to install El Capitan, computer was broken. Now, I have my computer, it works, but with OS X Mavericks. I need Yosemite to work with the necessary programs. But I can not install Yosemite, because it is not available in the AppStore (RU).

Perhaps someone can advise smith or tell me how to install Yosemite on my computer?

Of course, I am not able to install El Capitan, because I'm pretty sure it will crash again.

It strongly recommended that you preform any kind of major upgrade to your software operating system that you first create a backup

1 using the time Machine with an external hard drive

    2. manually drag-and - drop data that you need a drive hard ext

upgrade to ot el capitan Yosemite

    1. open the app store on the tab featured

    2. click on account

    3. sign in with ID Apple & password when prompted > then click done

    4. When you return to the feature page > right under the account.

    5. There will be an option called el capitan

  • What has replaced iPhoto to Yosemite?

What has replaced iPhoto to Yosemite? I need to consolidate my old iPhoto libs.  Older versions of iPhoto do not work on Yosemite and iPhoto is not available on the appstore

    Nothing has replaced iPhoto

Photos has been added and if you drag an iPhoto library Photos icon in the dock, it will be migrated to PHotos - Photos is a new program and has a learning curve so take the overall view and read the help files

iPhoto still works too for a while - you need the current version 9.6.1 - if your software is not up to date see can't update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

and the El Captain came out with 1.3 Photos and many new features and bug fixes - you should run it

How to upgrade to Yosemite 10.6.8? But the system is no longer available on the appstore! Please help me!

If you have already downloaded from the Mac App Store, open a session in there with the same Apple ID and click the purchases tab. If this is not the case, go to a physical store of Apple and ask.

It's normal. You not download operating system. You download an installer that puts the operating system on your Mac. After the operating system is installed, you can download this version and other setup you had previously installed.

Somewhere in the process of Photos disappear from the list of the App Store bought even if it appears as a current application. iPhoto is listed as "Paused".

Looks like it's trying to install the compatible version of Yosemite/El Capitan, 9.6.1. If you click on the button in standby, you can resume?

The App store says I have 1 available, but does not say which application. When I select 'update all', the answer is ' updates not available with this user ID "!

Which would indicate that you have something installed that was bought with a different AppleID. It may well have been another of your AppleID, but this isn't the one you are currently connected to the app store with. If you had a different AppleID, sign of the App Store, then again with the different AppleID. That should allow you to update the software. AppleID cannot be merged or transferred, and cannot the software bought with it.

  • AppStore shows all apps as not installed

    Hello

I have a problem with the app store on my iMac system (iMac 27 "end 2014 retina, OS X 10.10.5).) All programs have been installed correctly in the "Purchased" tab But even after successful installation AppStore is not always see my apps and offers to download and install them again and again. Probably, because of this problem I don't see updates for the most part.

I already tried to clean the caches of the AppStore and cookies in ~/Library/Caches, ~/Library/Cookies, / private/var/folders, ~/Library/preferences. Unfortunately, it did not help.

How can this problem be solved?

PS When I upgraded my system to El Capitan, the question is a party. However, I have a few other minor issues with 10.11.x and has been forced to downgrade to Yosemite.

I have problems to restart of Yosemite, after power failure during the new backup, and now HD is also blocked.

I tried the holding of 'command-r' and 'option' to see if the problem can be resolved or try any boot from a boot disk, my old backup, USB function start - but after a slow long process it all just stops.

There is software on my HD that I don't want to lose by simply reformatting the computer, because I am now in a different country, far from my house, which is another problem of the Apple Store, to reinstall my OS from Yosemite on the www.

  • My inner smartdrive dvd player won't read DVDs more.  I have updated to Snow Leopard in Yosemite.

I am currently using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.  I bought in 2009 iMac with Snow Leopard and have to Lion then updated my current operating system.  The internal dvd player has worked with much fussing, (insert the disc - closing - turn after a wait - by pushing the drive when he jumped on reboot).  If I had the chance after a few hours, the video disc show up on my desk.  When this happened, I was opening the dvd player that was in the Finder and the disc would play. I also tried to open the dvd first player and then insert the disc.  That no longer works.  Yesterday, only it just stop working.  The reader still takes dvd and swirls and click as before but then ejects the dvd. Repeatedly stop and restart is no longer works.  I make sure that the dvd be clean before I use it and have tried many different DVDs without success.  I think it's a software issue.  Does anyone have an idea/instructions a nearly dead grandmother brain that can follow to update or redate back to original factory setting to help this poor Smartdrive not so smart?

I have no TV, only my computer and phone at low prices.  I need to watch that my library borrowed from the dvd.

    Thank you.

    Try a cleaning CD/DVD

You can also try to clean by:

I suspect the optical drive has failed. My 2009 Mac Mini could not shoot with same symptom 4 years ago.

I would just get an external optical drive, one powered with an AC adapter. The Superdrive Apple USB does not work without a hack.
