I have read several messages in forums dealing with this error message and tried all the solutions without success.

Here is my trouble.  I have three computers all running Windows 7 Home Premium and a Sony PS3 all connected wireless to my home network via a Belkin N router.  All internet connectivity works fine, all printer connectivity works very well.  All computers and PS3 can access files via the network and the Group of attachment between them well... except for one, my laptop.  My laptop can access the files on all computers in a group and they can all access to each of the other homegroup files, but cannot access the files on my laptop.  All machines that I am trying to access the files on my laptop computer produces the error message; "you don't have permission to access \\LAPTOP contact your network administrator to request access to."

Need some help please, I tried every setting I've read, ensuring the good protoccols TCP, ensuring that homegroup settings allow access, ensuring that files are shared, disabling firewall, disable Kaspersky, setting the parameters of sharing etc etc ad nauseam.  Nothing helps.

Please... my brain starts to hurt.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Problems of permission and security with Vista/Win7, check the following settings.

All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account on all computers that they are allowed to connect to.

Everyone is an account, that means a group of all users who already have an account now as users.

Using the functionality of all saved the need to configure authorization for each of theestablished users, it does mean not all those who feel that they would like to connect.

Users who do not have an account on the computer are not part of the Everyone group.

If the LAN security is useless and users are not established, then move on the guest account provides the semi-open configuration.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-the-guest-account-on-or-off

    ---------------------

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    Hello

1 are these computers using a homegroup or working group?

    2. were you able to share files earlier?

3 have had it all changes to computers, before the show?

    Method 1:

Refer to the suggestion provided by Jack MVP on January 25, 2011, in the following link.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-networking/you-do-not-have-permission-to-access-pcname/baa06630-4d3d-4ba2-837a-b087bd21cdb3

    Method 2:

Disable the firewall and security software and check.

Help, please.

The server is Windows 2003 server. His computer is Windows 7 Professional.

    Hi Dennis,

Because the problem is with Windows 2003 server, I suggest you to ask your question in the help link:
  • You are not allowed to access this file? A strange problem!

While lately I got this problem where some file I download, I don't have the permission to access, which is quite strange for some reason.

Normally when I download something I automatically be allowed to do whatever with the download file (that is, move files, open, delete, etc.). However, my computer was disable this method and not allowing any user to do something with it. He said something like "this file cannot be accessed, please see the bulletin under administrator" or something of the sort. I managed to solve the problem manually by accessing the properties and in the Security tab, add "Kamchinn(Admin User)" to the Group and enable it, and it works. My question? Is to ensure that it automatically makes me admin anyway? It is quite difficult to explain but...

Basically all the files I download now (be it a text file, music, word, etc.), on the Security Properties tab, there is nothing there. Normally it is supposed to be the user on this, where Kamchinn (Admin user) but because there is no, I myself add manually to the file in order for use, otherwise I can't do anything with it. Anyone know the possible causes for this? Thanks in advance!

Your PC may be infected with the new variant of Sirefef AKA Zero access is.  One of the problems is that the downloads are identified (wrongly) as a virus, or a message indicating that you are not allowed access to files, downloads are missing and/or it can disable and prevent installation of various anti-malware programs.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/portal/threat/encyclopedia/entry.aspx?name=Win32%2FSirefef

Suggest you use HitmanPro Kickstart, which should remove this malware and fix changes made to the computer by the malware: http://www.surfright.nl/en/kickstart , you must use an uninfected computer to download it to a flash drive and then follow the specific directions on how to run the program on the infected computer.  Hitman Pro Kickstart is available as a 30 day trial version.

For more information, see http://dl.surfright.nl/Kickstart-FAQ.pdf and http://dl.surfright.nl/Kickstart-User-Manual.pdf

Good luck... If this does not apply to your question suggests the validation of back with more details.

    Hi all

This problem had been solved by myself.

The problem disappeared after I empty the cache from weblogic and restart all servers.

    Thank you.

  • Error message: you are not allowed to access this resource network

I have 4 computers on a network peer-to-peer (1 x 7, 2xXP 1 x 98).  As of today, one of the XP machines will not display the network when I try to access it through "My Network Places".  He says I don't have permission, but when I serch for computers I can find and connect to all the others on the network.  Also all others can connect to the problem machine.  He worked for many years.  I can access the internet via the router and the other computer without problem.

How can I solve the problem?

I have a partial solution, but would still like to know what could cause the problem.  It worked:

    1. disable Windows Firewall

    2. connect the group to work, and then to a computer

    3 turn on the firewall

    4. use network resources

5 restart the computer and now computers are visible when I click on the name of working group without disabling the firewall.

But the question is "why did - it go wrong, and what I did to sort?

  • You are not authorized to access \\DESKTOP

I need advice on a situation that has changed after a pair of power outages last night.

We have a network of 3 computers, desktops HP 2 running Win7 Pro 64 - bit, connected via GigEthernet. and 1 largely rebuilt laptop computer Dell Win7 Ultimate 64 - bit, connected wireless.  The network is led by an ATT U-Verse router, G-class.  We have a home group.  All members of the Group residential, and discovery of network computers is enabled.  Until today, I was able to access the laptop from my desktop and vice versa.  Today, all of a sudden, I can't access the desktop of my laptop, I get the error:

    Windows cannot access \\DESKTOP
You are not allowed to access \\DESKTOP.  Contact your network administrator.

It's just a problem with my desktop computer; I can connect on the desktop of my husband to the laptop and vice versa.

The suggestion of aide said, making network course discover is on the desktop.  When I open the network and sharing Center and go into the advanced sharing settings, here is what happens:

The page appears blank and then poster that discovery of the network is enabled, file sharing is enabled, etc..  The 'save' button at the bottom is grayed out.

As I said, we had two successive failures, last night, and after another I struggled to keep my office.  Everything took a long time to start.  Finally I decided to restart in safe mode, press the wrong button and entered the recovery of the system, likewise, backed finally booted in safe mode and then restarted in normal mode.  Everything seemed normal until this morning when I tried to access the desktop from the laptop without success.  Fortunately the connection works Conversely; My GoodSync program running on the desktop computer is able to synchronize a list of files with the laptop.  But the laptop cannot open office, although to the best of my knowledge is shared everything and we are all in the homegroup - didn't change any settings and it worked last week.

    Suggestions would be welcome.

I solved it in fact myself, using the well known workaround to the error "password required network".  I renamed my laptop and rebooted; Rename the name of origin, then rebooted again.  I can now access the files on the desktop. My husband, who could not see also my desktop files, rename it to double and could do to my system, even though he has not been to see the error "network password".  So this seems like a more general solution.

During the second name change, I noticed that the laptop still belonged to a working group called the United States, even if both computers belong to a workgroup called workgroup. and I made this change at the same time.  So I don't know which of these corrections it actually did.  But the laptop has been able to access the files from office for months, even in the Group of work badly; so I strongly suspect that the rename-restart-rename-reboot sequence is what he did.

  • FDMEE - you are not allowed

I'm setting up FDMEE for the first time and spin in questions at the beginning.  I set up some users as admins and provisioning of the admins in FDMEE through shared Services.  Whenever one of these users trying to get into the data management in the navigation menu, they get the error "you are not allowed to access this page."  I have no application to implement and that these users are supposed to be setting them up from scratch.  I am able to log in with the account by default, but only as this account.

There are a number of essbase and planning applications that these users do not have access, as we have a dozen or more.  But apart from that they are put into service the same as the default of Directors.

Is it possible that I have no location to assign users who they need to access each epm application available to access FDM?

    Thank you

Thus, we have managed to get this figured out.

I was commissioning the user to access full administrator for FDM.  Once I killed the access of the user to create integration only the user could access FDM.

Our hypothesis is that there are parts of full administrator access that are related to specific applications of FDM.  At present we have no request for FDM so access causes the error.  By downgrading to create only the integration, we have removed all the specific security application.

    The version is 11.1.2.3.000.0029

  • Firefox MAC v30 with proxy must authenticate "Cache Access Denied" sorry, you are not allowed to ask: this cover until you have authenticated

Firefox functioned perfectly until we have updated to version 30.0. It seems that the new version does not like our Proxy Configuration that requires users to auth with their AD accounts.

In the latest version, Firefox will appear a box that allow you to type the user name and password that works perfectly. However, this is not pop up anymore and gives me this error message.

    The following error was encountered:

       Cache Access Denied.

Sorry, you are not allowed to ask:

       http://www.google.com.au/url?

This cache until you have yourself authenticated.

I try to configure the username into a key ring and allow firefox to access manually, but Firefox seems does not access this key chain at all.

Is that someone has a problem with the proxy server that needs to authenticate in Firefox30.0? Does anyone know the possible solutions?

    Thank you very much!

    Trouble Shooting - update

Interestingly enough, Firefox works for 1 minute after I use Safari with proxy Auth. However, if I get Safari for 1 or 2 minutes, Firefox will be stop working and displays similar error message.

tried network.http.use - cache = false but does not work

    Thank you

We find the solution of Philipp is useful.

"Hello, this is perhaps due to the deactivation of some insecure authentication protocols in firefox 30: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/30.0/releasenotes/#whatsnew .

You can try to enter: config in the firefox address bar (confirm the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named network.negotiate - auth.allow - insecurity-ntlm-v1. Double-click it and change its value to true. »

XP Pro, SP3. I downloaded the free Bullzip pdf printer. Somehow my old printer pdf in my printer disappeared list which I have used for years. I get this message when installing - "you are not allowed to change the settings for this printer. If you need to change the settings, contact your system administrator. I click ok and it ends, but it doesn't work. It does not appear in the printer control panel as a printer to change anything.

I built this computer at home and I'm the only one using it. What is this function 'administrator '? I've never had to administrator on any program. Never. That is what it is?

CNET is infamous for the grouping of things in its downloads as much a / v programs report as junk (I went through the same thing using eSet NOD32 has / v).  I seem to remember that if you ignore the warning and download the exe file and then use a tool like the free 7-zip to extract only the file necessary to run the program you want, you can work around the problem.
