  • Any chance you get the status bar?

Any chance can get you the status bar, because all updates FF28 past do not have the status bar which is where most of my favorite Addons are located (for example, eQuake Alert and ForecastFox. It's really annoying. I had to disable the automatic updates because of that and stay with FF28. I'm sure someday FF28 will become obsolete and then I won't be able to use my Addons.

"No matter how lucky can get you the status bar?"

Little or no chance to happen. As you very well know, there are one or more extensions to restore the bar of the add-on for Firefox 29 + versions.

Are you talking about the toolbar state of Firefox at the bottom of the window where you see link URL when you mouse over a link.

Is the window too low on the screen, like you are missing the bottom of the vertical scrollbar, or rounded the corners at the bottom of the window. If so move or resize the window

    • Drag the window to the top of the window title bar
    • resize the window by dragging the edges of window and then move window up.
    • use 'Alt + SPACEBAR' and chose 'Move', you may also need to resize with "size:

Maybe an extension or a style to the control, the toolbars appear when as always, mode full-screen when maximized.

If still no solution try Mode without failure of Firefox. If it works in safe mode that an extension or an extension parameter is most certainly the cause.

  • Spectrum of HP x 360-13D-4000 CTO: No. battery residual when you click on the battery icon in the status bar

    Hello

When I got to my laptop, I have to click on the battary icon in the status bar, and it would give me an estimate of the time remaining, as well as the percentage.  Since then, I had to reinstall windows 8.1 and no longer have the estimated time remaining on battery, just the percentage.  I have installed all the latest drivers on the support site and everything works well except that.

I tried all versions of the BIOS available on the support site and reinstalled several times.  I also tried running a battery check that came back fine.

Any idea on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello tm200

Remaining battery life information has been removed from the BIOS F.11.

The time estimator estimated battery basically looking at what you have now and give a time remaining. It was common for playback from 8 hours to 16 hours in a few minutes. This can cause confusion for the customer more that it solves.

The trend of mobile devices intended last day is try not to estimate the battery life. By example, iPhones, iPads, Android phones, tablets, etc all do not try to estimate. They can give an overview of your past use, but they do not attempt the future of the project.

    Thank you

  • Why you don't put a "missed call" icon on the status bar?

Hello and sorry for my English, I hope you understand me.

Why you don't put a "missed call" icon on the status bar for example next to the wifi icon?

The problem is, I missed a lot of calls, because I don't see a for example missed call when im listening to music or when I use the maps in my car and my iphone is always turned on. I often go out to my car for 3-5 minutes, because I work in the service of delivery. When im not in the car and someone calls me, I can't see it when I'm back in the car. The missed call is in the home screen on the phone visible (visible?) icon.

Sometimes, I have 3 or 5 missed calls, my wife is angry about this, my patronized too, they call me twice every time, or I have to watch every time every 5 minutes on the home screen the phone icon to see if I have a missed call.

The problem is every time when the iphone is still on and I not always in the middle.

  • Is it possible to display an image full screen; in other words, how to switch all the toolbars - including the status bar and the task bar?

I found a few larger images (986 x 1024 and 2420 x 2514) I'd like to see on the entire screen. Is there a way to do this by enabling / disabling (then restore it later) of all toolbars - including the status bar and the task bar? Or is there an FF extension that will make perhaps even easier?

Press F11 or select "full screen" in the menu. (If there is still floating toolbars around after that, do a right-click on the toolbar and remove the checkbox.)

  • prerequisite status bar - will not pass until v28

So, updated to 29 on machines as well my Win7 and XP before I realized the problem:
    .
Mozilla is hell decided to hide things from me.
    .
Read another discussion (now closed) the loss of the status bar. I think this is the first time where they pronounce the dead status bar. Tried the tools-addon toolbars display and he's not here.
    .
Then, returned to 28 and will stay there until the status bar is returned or if it becomes so outdated that I'll have to go back to IE.
    .
On my Win7Ult machine, it was easy - just the latest restore point until I installed 29 and he was there. Don't wotk on XP, but fortunately, there is an FTP site that has copies of each version, you can think of. I chose the last eng - us. 28 and installed more than 29. I was surprised that the installation did not notice and balk at it. also surprised it didn't crash and burn, but I write that this on that now and everything seems OK.
    .
So, you ask ' where is the issue?
    .
It's this: the status bar is the darling of the overwhelming majority of Windows programs. I think it's like the third time, they stole my status bar. Flying the status bar is proof positive that Mozilla hate its users - by moving all that used to be on the status bar of varied and diverse places, they actually chose to hide things from their users and I find it unforgivable beggars belief. For example, they say that he moved "add ons" to his own 'addon' toolbar, which is NOT enabled by default. You see, they were hiding in it. MY QUESTION IS - how DO I GET MOZILLA to STOP DOING the WRONG THING and return my browser to the way I like it. As I said in the topic "status bar is a requirement for my support. do not write new that I have to accept or lump it. I'm on "strike28" until the status bar is returned. "If this isn't the case, then I'll go WHERE EVERY OTHER BROWSER VALUES THE STATUS BAR LIKE I DO." As a side note, several months ago Thunderbird made a really weird security update which has destroyed my ability to send emails. I am now a happy user of web mail, and nobody's trying to destroy my ability to use their product. If they had a 'intuitive changes', it would be different things, but is hiding that you're used to seeing in a place of THAT ENTIRE INDUSTRY agrees, it's the death knell for my interest, if not the product itself. If a large enough turmoil cannot be generated, so it's probably not my kind of product in any case. CIAO.pcGnome

The real status bar has been removed from Firefox (from Firefox 4)more than 3 years ago and was replaced by the bar of the add-on that is now gone, too. Get over it already!

There are a number of extensions that restore the bar Add on.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/status-4-EVAR/
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/
With the extension Classic theme restaurateur cor - el mentioned 3 months ago, when this thread was started.

Firefox will never be "finished". As the web evolves, the combination of the devices used to access the web is changing, and as the Mozilla developers decide to add or improve features of Firefox, Firefox will evolve and change.

Bottom line is, if you want a "status bar" you have a number of choices for the installation of a "status bar" in versions of Firefox 29 + via an extension.
Or you can continue to use Firefox 28 and live without the security updates that are released every 6 weeks with each new version of Firefox.
Or you can install a 3rd party that is based on Gecko version.

  • where is my status bar?

Hi, I updated to ffx29 and I can not find my status bar. Where can I activate it?

    Hey wingerter,.

Are you talking about the addons toolbar which was at the bottom of the page? In fact, which has been deprecated in Firefox 29. Instead the addons are now treated as first class citizens. They live in the main toolbar or in the new quick menu (vertical bars on the right). There are a TON of cool new addon developers can do in the new Firefox, just to take advantage of these features!

If you really prefer the old bar, this article can show you how to bring back the old look.

  • When you customize the bar of the add-on, separators ("" | "") are not visible. How can I remove them?

Not only are they not visible, they are no longer selectable. They /do/ normally appear (that is, when not customize toolbars). Under Firefox Linux Mint 15 22.0 (Olivia: x 86-64).

Your toolbar customizations are stored in the localstore.rdf file in your Firefox profile folder currently active. This XML file is difficult reading and I don't remember seeing a good documentation on how to modify. If you want to give it a try, please make a backup first.

If the file is corrupted (or most corrupt, according to the case), you can rename or move it Firefox will generate a new one with default settings and you can start customizing from scratch.

With the road, it actually seems that you should be able to find and remove the separators.

      <RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#addon-bar"
        mode="icons"
        collapsed="false"
        currentset="addonbar-closebutton,stylish-toolbar-button,spring,downloads-button,separator,fireshot-Capture-Button,greasemonkey-tbb,noscript-tbb,fiddlerhook-toolbar-button,status-bar" />

    Why give a try:

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

Help > troubleshooting information > button "Open Directory".

Switch back to Firefox and output

Break, while Firefox ends his cleaning, so make a backup copy of localstore.rdf (e.g., localstore.0808) and open the rdf file in a text editor to find and change the separators of the addon ramp.

When you restart Firefox, your changes should be obvious.

    A little luck?

  • Where is the status bar in FF 7.0.1?

I've just updated to FF 7.0.1 of FF 3.6.16. I can't find the status bar in the new version, to know the status of my downloads web page. How can I get the FF 3.6.16 status bar as a feature in this new version?

The status bar has been removed in a version previous of Firefox and replaced with the add-on bar.

You can find some features of the status bar by installing the extension of the State-4-Evar.

    • Install the extension 4-Evar-status : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/
    • After installation,.
      1. Make sure that the bar of the add-on is displayed; Options > Bar module (or view > toolbars > bar Add on), click here to check the ' bar of add-on.
      2. In view > toolbars > customize drag all or part of the 3 elements to the position that you want in the bar of the add-on:
        • Status text (this is the desired URL information)
        • Download status (shows no. downloads or the number of current downloads)
        • Progress meter (loading the page counter)
      3. Set state-4-Evar options in tools > Modules > Extensions

  • The Menu bar and status bar disappeared, but the worst of all the tabs is at the top of my computer. It's very annoying! How can I uninstall Firefox 4 and return to the old?

Please tell me how I can go back to the old format

If you don't like the new look of Firefox 4, then you can change some settings to restore the appearance of Firefox 3.

You can right click on the orange Firefox button to open the menu of the toolbar or use (F10) view > toolbars.

    • Click on the entry in the Menu bar to make the menus visible bar.
    • Click "Tabs at the top" to remove the check mark and place the tab to its original position bar just above the browser window.

You can use this extension to retrieve the status bar:

  • My status bar is gone

Every time I open FF, I lose my status bar.

The status bar is no longer present in versions of Firefox 4 and replaced by the module bar (view > toolbars > [X] bar add-on) that extensions can use.

You can install the extension of the State-4-Evar to find some features of previous versions of Firefox that has been lost with the removal of the status bar.

Open the window customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars" once you have installed the extension of the State-4-Evar and drag items (status text, the progress meter, download status) on the module bar (display > toolbars > [X] bar Add on)
