you need give the administrator permission to copy

New windows 7 Home Edition premium install on hard drive formatted, i7-2600 12 g RAM

trying to copy/save other readers on the system, I get the error
you will need to provide administrator permission to copy, save, etc. this file
I'm going to properties\security to the drive, make sure that my user (the only user of the system) as a "full" permissions -same error.
I go to properties\security\advanced\owner and change myself to the owner of the car - same error.
Any other ideas?

Windows 7. My PC user account shows I am administrator, but it is impossible to delete some files.  Get the message: "' you need give the administrator permission to delete this folder.

Yes, it is in the free version.  It is in the 'Tools' tab to the right part of the screen.  For best results, you should also get "rkill" (you should never download from bleepingcomputer.com - and ABSOLUTELY no PART ELSEWHERE), which is good to put an end to all background processes that prevent you to delete unwanted files and folders.

  • "You need give the administrator permission to move this folder.

So I recently downloaded a video file, which is currently sitting in my downloads folder. No matter when I try to move it to my documents, it says that I have to give the administrator permission to move the folder. Then it gives me the opportunity to continue, to jump or cancellation. When I hit continue, it will give me a pop-up that says that Windows needs my permission to run the program. I give him my permission, and then another pop up window will go up tells me access denied. If I hit try again, he fails again.

My account is the only account on this computer and I am also the Director, because there was no way for me to not be, and he also says that I am when I look at my account information. But whenever I try to give him permission to continue, it tells me that I need administrator permission to continue.

Also, this isn't the first time that I denied access to my own files even as administrator, after I tried to give the administrator permission to access. Is there something special I need to do as an administrator to actually have the ability to give permission?

This is probably a permissions or ownership issue sust.  Right-click on the folder and click Properties and add you as a user authorized in its own right.  Go to advanced and do the same thing on this scren as well.  Then go into the property tab and take over the case.  If this does not work, you may need to do the same for the parent folder as well (and maybe it's the parent).  Finally, you should be able to access and move the folder.

Here are a few guidelines and procedures dealing with permissions and ownership that can help:

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Hello

If you are logged on as administrator?

I suggest you give permission to folders and files and check if the problem persists:

    a. right click on the file or folder for which you want to set permissions, click Propertiesand then click the Security tab.

    b. click Advanced to open the Advanced security settings for dialog box.

    c. click on the owner tab, click Edit. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    d. in the new Advanced security settings for the change in ownership ofbox: field, select your user name and verify the replace the owner of sub containers and objects. Click OK, repeat for the other boxes. (If your username is not click other users or groups to add your account).

You have to disable UAC (User Access Control) temporarily to that of such changes. Then, you may find that the changes do not affect the access to these folders because access is controlled by the UAC. Have a look here for more details on UAC: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951016/

  • 8.1 window isn't downloading store as message is coming that you must enter the administrator account.

8.1 window isn't downloading store as message is coming that you must enter the administrator account. I already use admin account. How to solve it?

    Original title: Update window 8

You may not use the store from the built-in Administrator account (the one that is actually named 'administrator'), because this account is supposed to be a backup for emergencies only.

If you create your own account with a different name (it may still be level administrator), you can use the store.

  • You cannot change the administrator rights

The biggest problem that I have without having administrative access is that I can't uninstall programs, updated ones I use or change my display settings.

I never did nothing for my computer and am the administrator, this problem just happened on its own. I can not disable UAC because he is not authorized by the Security Center.

I just want to be able to take control of my computer.

I tried to make orders on the run screen, but he also tells me that I don't have administrative control to do that.

I tried to run in safe mode, but it still does not allow me, because this shield bit stupid with four color blocked me to make changes.

Please help, this user access thing really sucks.

    Hi Lobo_Tech,

Step 1: You can try to settle the default Administrator account and make sure that the problem occurs.

    1. click on theStart button

    2. on the Start Menu, clickall programs Accessories followed

    3. in the menu accessories, right click on the option from the command line

    4. in the menu that appears, click on the option"Run as Administrator"

    5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type the commandnet user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.

    7. close the elevated command prompt.

    8. close the session (in the Start Menu) and you will see your new administrator integrated next to your current account.

    9. click the photo icon display built-in Administrator account and connect to it.

If the problem is resolved, then try to disable the default Administrator of the following account:

NET user administrator / active: No.

If the above steps work, then you can try to create a new user account and check if it helps.

You can view the following link to create the new user account:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

You can run a virus scan and check if it helps:
