You will need a third-party partitioning such as Acronis Disk Director or Gparted program. Back up your data first because things happens. Otherwise just copy your data to D:\ files and then delete them to C:\. It works for files such as photos, music, documents, etc. If you want to install on D:\ real programs, you must uninstall them and then reinstall them using the desired partition. • If I have not access to the disk partition hard base would impact on the installation of a complete operating system?

    Original title: TPG Server petition.

I wanted to know if I di not actually have access to the disk partition hard base would impact on the installation of a complete operating system of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit? Instead of having a computer with a complete installation of windows mine came with versions of WinPE OEM, NT and MCE. The GPT partition server that I can see is protected. Partial operating systems seem to be installed on network disk Volumes. I think that what I have to do down the disk hard real all delete and start again but I'm having a problem to see what is all about the drive through programs and remove what I find. • HP 450-011: delete the recovery partition after upgrade to win 10?

I have a new HP 450-011 and it came with Win 8.1 and the recovery with the letter D: drive partition.  I did the upgrade to windows 10.  I made a set of recovery DVD for win installation 8.1.  Is there a reason for me not to delete the D: drive and replace it with my information?  I seriously doubt I'll want to roll back to 8.1 Win.

    Greetings,

Have you tested the Win 8.1 HP Recovery disks before installing Win 10?

A question is: If you need technical assistance from HP tech for a possible hardware problem. HP normally requires that the factory installed operating system to take in charge. This policy of HP may have changed during the upgrade to win 10. I do not suspect.

You can export the recovery, Partition because it will not work now in any case.

But you need a way to go back to win 8.1 when you need HP warranty support.

Since you have already upgraded to Win 10, the only way to check the recovery of 8.1 Win disks is to use them and start all over again. Or the support of disks/USB recovery HP Win 8.1 on a new equivalent or larger HDD or SSD. A good installation means that you have now the factory install on this disk.

    It's a lot of work.

The problem of guaranteed support is your problem.

I have eliminated this problem by installing Win 10 on a new SSD. I have HP Win 8.1 on a separate SSD and win 10 on a different SSD. Possible guarantee problem solution means earn 8.1 running on HP SSD factory to check the problem of winning 10 SSD.

  • Are there 3 partitions in iconia W510 win 8, primary, restoration and mbr partitions?

Are there 3 partitions in iconia W510 win 8, primary, restoration and mbr partitions? I'm freezeups and other defects. I tried recovery and saw what looked like 3 partitions. tried to format the C: drive then tried to reload the dvd.still system's glitches and lost 2 partitions I think. The dvd system to recharge the three partitions, I see only a concert now about 15 of 32 GB HDD?

There should be three partitions, there are questions that may appear if you try to use the reocvery disks without removing all three first. Since you are in the State in which your old system went to format C, just wipe the rest of the partitions off the power and run the DVD for a reboot to the original. It will create the partitoins suitable for you. Once everything is back now you can search here for suggestions about deleting the recovery partition (if you have several gigs in size) in order to free up space, because this partition is not necessary if you have the recovery DVDs.

  • Need information about Disk Partitions

    Hi guys,.
I am owner of a Lenovo G560 machine with originally shipped with BACK (I don't remember the version).
I also have a copy of Windows 7 I have installed on my system on a new partition. (I'm not kidding with the partitions that exist on the laptop)

I post a screenshot of disk management utility to show how the scores are listed.

    http://www.mypicx.com/uploadimg/1521567854_01202011_1.jpg

(if the link does not please copy and paste this link into your browser)

Can anyone tell me please what are these partitions contain? Which of them are safe to remove? Since I already know the partion labeled as C: contains windows; I want to know what are the other partitions, what happens if I remove them.

What will make one-button recovery, when the only operating system that shipped with this laptop has been BACK?

I'd appreciate it really is can anyone tell me about those partitions?

    Kind regards
    Fahad

PS: All these scores except C: are completely empty? Is it really like this or that they do not contain something that win7 can understand?

Content veiw of the partitions, try this:

Control Panel > appearance and personalization > Folder Options > view

Show "hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files", the value

as well as "Hide empty drives in the computer folder" apply.

Open a windows Explorer window and see if you can see all the files.

    (Start Orb > computer)

If you are not concerned about catering to the BACK,
You can re-install Win 7 and delete all partitions during installation,

then create new ones to meet your needs. Rear first.

It is the best method, IMO.

1 1.08 GB OEM is probably original, recovery.

    2. 29,24 GB is original, but is marked as the active partition,

to not delete that if you repeat.

    3. key Win 7 partition. NTFS

    4. probably the old drive D:, may have been empty at the origin.

The partitions you have now are (I think) seeds.

under 2 is defined as active, but he is fat 32. If BACK in the

your Start menu when you start the computer, which probably explains it.

(You can have ONE active partition)

So I think that, if you want to recover any space, D: may only be deleted.

But why not just use it to store the backup files?

A key recovery no longer works. Use a disk imaging program,

or Win 7 built in disk imaging. (Backup and Restore Center)

(And IPnaSh is located in the small partitions Win 7, I saw 100 or 200 MB

created when you start with a BLANK hard drive. Will not create if partitions already exist.)

  • Windows 7 Home Basic disk partition.

Yesterday I created a disk partition in my laptop of friends using Windows 7 home basic. Now, I am unable to send it back. When I try to format it by using the default settings the error I get is. "The dynamic disk is not supported by this server." Later, I got to know that dynamic disk is not supported by Home Basic. Now what to do? I am unable to use the 150 GB partition I've done unless I format it. Is it possible that I can use this space?

Create a separate partion to "ease the burden on partition win" is not actually going to achieve something IE doesn't go to lighten everything, leave them are part of this disk.

I guess that if you view disk 0 to disk management shows a system reserved about 100 MB, and C the boot partition, and you already have 4 partitions on basic and if you add another partition, it must be configured as dynamic.

You cannot convert dynamic to basic use in victory built tools.

When you create the recovery discs, and I hope that you have done this now, if you ever have to recover your system, you will lose all you have created the partitions and all data.

Bottom line, your goal/plan to create a separate partition is incorrect. Go back and expand C to consume all the free space.

  • clear Ext hard disk partitions in El Capitan to return to a single

I have a disc of lightning (WDC) 2 TB ext.  I had it partitioned with 2 partitions - but now I want to use the entire disk as a single partition.

I searched the web a solution (re El Capitan) and found this solution below

BUT whenever I have to erase partitions and then as soon as the volume test to find the space by removing the partition - but the sign less is grayed out and only the sign is available.

I did the operation to clear the partition and then tries to take over the space of the volume - as suggested - but I can't do it if it is grayed out!

I lost hours tonight - can someone please help?

    Thank you!

    ------------------------------

    Step 1: Partition Erase

To begin, open disk utility while searching for it using Spotlight or find in Applications > utilities.

Then click on the partition that you want to remove in the left panel.

    Screenshot by Matt Elliott/CNET

With your selected partition, click the clear button in the upper part of disk utility. This will bring up a window with a clear button. Click Remove , and then click done.

    Step 2: Delete Partition

With your partition erased data, you should always delete the now empty partition in order to reallocate space for the rest of your hard drive.

    Screenshot by Matt Elliott/CNET

To do this, select your hard drive in the left panel and then click on the button at the top of the disk utility Partition. In the graph of the pie on the left, click on the corner that represents the partition you just deleted. Click on the button "-" and then click apply.

Are the partitions involved "OS X Journaled" format?

Yes I know I'm a total fool... to try to create a new empty but still fails with etc - 61. I'm out of my depth here. IM myself kicking. At the moment I have installed OS x on an external HARD drive which I use to this post. IM so afraid, I broke my computer, my mother will kill me!

I have a 16 GB USB key where it remains the way to using that? I'm out of my depth here.

    Hello MSC7XWDC,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If I understand your message correctly you are trying to do a wipe and installing Mac OS X on your computer, but you're stuck on the part when you create a partition for it.  Because the partition has been erased, you will have to create this boot partition following the instructions below.  Once this is done, you can go through the installation process.

    Partition a boot disk

If you want to partition a disk that you will use to start up your Mac, follow these steps.

Partitioning a disk erases all files on the disc. Don't forget to copy the files you want to keep to another disk before the partition.

You can specify the number of partitions and the size of each of them. If you want to use your Mac OS X startup disk partition, don't forget, it is large enough to install the Mac OS X software and applications, and the files that you will use.

    1. If you are partitioning an external drive, make sure that it is connected to your computer and proceed to step 5.

If you are partitioning of the disk that you used to start your Mac, print this page so that you can refer to it later. To print this page, select print from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear).

    2. Choose the Apple menu > restart. Press the command (⌘) keys and R as your computer restarts.

When you see a white screen with an Apple logo in the Middle, you can release the keys.

    3. In the Mac OS X Utilities window, select disk utility and then click on continue.
    4. Select the disk you want to partition, click Partition.
    5. Choose the number of partitions in the pop-up menu Configuration of Volume.
    6. Click on each partition and type a name for this, choose a format and type a size. You can also drag the separator between the partitions to change their sizes. If the name of the partition has an asterisk next to it, it is shown larger than actual size in order to display his name clearly.
    7. If you want to use a partition as a Mac OS X startup disk, click Options, and then choose it the GUID partition scheme.
    8. Click on apply.

After you partition a disk, an icon for each partition of disk appears in disk utility and in the sidebar of Finder Windows.

12.x disk utility: partition a drive

    See you soon.

  • Satellite Pro A210 1AZ Disk Partitions

    Hello

Hope someone can explain to me. We have two Satellite Pro A210 1AZ identical machines, Windows Vista Home, 120 GB of disk. They have two partitions on the disk in the computer. C: Vista is 56.2 GB and data E: is 54.0 GB. I guess there are other accounts hidden for the missing 10 GB partition and I guess that is the recovery partition.

My problem is the following. Everything written in C:, programs, Documents etc., and it is more or less complete. The E: is not used. Why is there an E: partition? Why not a single 110GB C:?

I know that I can copy files on the E: partition but trying I find annoying. My wife doesn't understand anything on the partitions, folders and files and just wants everything to be where you expect it to be - in Documents or photos. Seems reasonable.

What can I do to get rid of the E: thing and have just a large C:?

NB - I have no interest is messing around with the PC, I want to just use it and forget about it.

    Thank you

    Fred

    Hello Fred

I don't know how much experience you have with the PC, but it is usual to divide the hard driver to two or more partitions. each partition can have a different name and you can save specific data on the specific partition.

For example, I have three partitions:
    C for the operating system
Private D for stuff like photos, movies and mp3 files and
    E for Business stuff

Anyway, if you want to have a (the ability of the entire HARD disk) partition, you can delete second partition and expand the C partition to use any HARD drive capacity.
Open Control Panel > administrative tools > computer management.

In the left pane, under storage category, click on disk management
Now select and right mouse button click on the partition that you want to change.
In the context menu, you will see options to extend, reduce or remove the partition. Select the option you want.
If your 2nd partition is empty, you can remove the 2nd partition, and then expand the 1st partition to use the freed up space.

So to learn more about the bits and bytes please http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/OPT7301UY001JR01.htm

    Bye and good luck!

I have a computer with Windows XP Professional and I just discovered a problem of low disk.   Yet, I have a 74.4 GB hard

drive and have used only 15.9 GB.   I do not understand someone can help me.   I have a Virus Scanner and

    So, please help me!

    Sharon

Hard disks are disks for data storage that can be divided into one or more partitions (or volumes). RAM is a card that is placed in a memory slot in the motherboard. The motherboard may have a number of slots, often 2 or 4. As a backup of the system RAM memory will be temporarily store data in a file on the hard drive and it's virtual memory.

Hard drives can be internal (inside the computer case) or external (outside the computer case).

The system uses the RAM first, as it is faster to access, read and write, and for less immediate tasks of the system swaps out data for later use of RAM in the swap file on the hard drive.

Not enough memory messages are normally because the system detects that there is a danger that it is shortly will have insufficient disk space to meet the needs of the system. It is perhaps because the allocated disk space is not enough to know that the allotted maximum play needs to be increased, or that there are not enough remaining free disk space to increase the size of the pagefile size. In your case, the messages are related to something else than the more common situation.

In your case the problem is the Volume Shadow Copy service.
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Copy

This service has disk space needs and the reserve system part of the disk only for its use. How it does and how to solve this problem, when things go wrong, is not commonly understood that is why I am fighting to give you simple instructions on how to solve your problem.

A possible solution could be formatting your hard drive and a new installation of Windows and programs. It is a radical solution to what is an irritant, but probably not a problem that prevents you from using your computer. Reinstalling the operating system is not something I would recommend an inexperienced user company.

What caused your problem? Most likely it was caused by your anti-virus program or a program like Registry Mechanic, or is the result of damage from malware (virus). You must uninstall Registry Mechanic by Add / Remove programs in the Control Panel now and we hope it's presence did not irreparable damage to the registry.

What antivirus do you use? If it is Norton or McAfee that needs to go. Norton is particularly good to turn upside down the Windows operating system. If you have Norton you will need specific advice as the removal can be problematic. There are many appropriate freeware alternatives.

  • How can I remove a virtual disk partition?

Well, basically, I was using the program - Ramdisk, and it takes little memory your just RAM and transforms a partition you can store things in, or use it as a hard drive. But, now, I think he's using for many and I would remove it. I used 400 MB of ram, so now it is used. I went to computer management, went to the partition and delete the volume. Now, he says: 5 - base 400 MB drive online, but on the side, where it shows the volume actually score or what ever, it says 400 MB not allocated.

So now I have 400 MB of ram m unallocated, and I'm trying to find a way to get it back in my ram used! Any help would be greatly please

You would need to reverse the process used to create the virtual disk - uninstall the software used to create, or reverse the settings that you have invoked in Windows to create, as the case may be.  Just delete the disk partition RAM does not remove it from memory.
