After your update about two days ago, it contained spyware WEBGET... as an add on... I had no idea was being installed.
It took a while to understand how to remove it.

It is likely that you has been infected with malicious software by allowing the software to install.

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    Firefox never includes the intermediate certificates.
    It is the responsibility of a server to include all the intermediate certificate required to make it possible to build a certificate chain that ends with a trusted root certificate embedded.

    Note that Firefox automatically records the intermediate certificates that servers send in certificates for future use Manager (they appear labelled as 'Software security device' in the References tab).
    If a server does not send a complete certificate chain then you get an untrusted error when Firefox has stored missing intermediate certificates to visit a server in the past that a send it, but you get an untrusted error if this intermediate certificate is not yet registered.

    This is not a problem with any 'update' - it's like that since Firefox 3 was released in mid-2008. There is place for five files in this window of little beast, until you click on the arrow to show more.

    For me at least, the question is now irrelevant. Apparently the built-in popup date picker that any serious web developers will not want, is here to stay.

    The only option now is to remove the type = "date" attribute of input fields where you want to call a date picker custom. Instead, you must define the field type = "text" and call the datePicker custom for fields with a specific class name.

When you tried to reset your profile, note that there is a folder created in your desktop called 'Old Foxfire Data' or similar to this one. It contains all the data that has been cleaned up in the new profile. Delete the Firefox application and download a new application of Foxfire. Then launch Firefox. When open go in the tab 'Help', above. It's the last of them. Once you click on help, then click on "troubleshooting information. The first section is called "Basic application". In this section, click on the tab "show in Finder". It will display your profile folder. It starts with a letter and then a bunch of numbers and letters. But it will contain '.default' and some other figures. Now go to the first folder in your office called old data Foxfire and open it. Note that it will also have a similar profile folder. Open it and go to this folder copy all 80 more files. Now go to the new profile folder, open it and paste all files in this folder from backup profile to the profile folder. Click Yes to replace all the files that you paste into the new profile folder. That's all. Close, close and restart Firefox. You will have all your history, bookmarks and any label that you had open before the crash. Also, I say stop mac and restarted the computer, so that all possible conflicts would be eliminated. PS: The deletion of your profile folder and paste the old folder in its place it will not work!
