YouTube is massively oversized in the firefox window?

I am running windows 7 on a Lenovo ThinkPad. All my plug-ins are up-to-date. I've searched and searched, but no one seems to have had this problem!

This could happen if you did use the 'zoom' on any page. To reset the zoom back level by default, press Ctrl + 0 (that's a zero). You must do this before you click on the drive, otherwise Flash will intercept the keyboard. Does make a difference?

  • A button to the Firefox window in the taskbar instead of several

I want just one button in the taskbar of my computer for the Firefox window and not several, each window for each open tab. How can I do?

There is a setting for whatever inform Windows on each of the individual tabs or only the active tab in each separate window. Here's where you can check and adjust that:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs Panel

It's the last item: "show glimpses of tab in the Windows task bar. If this is checked, you get all THE tabs in all windows in the taskbar, and if it is unchecked, you get only the active tab in each window.

  • Cannot resize the Firefox window under pixel 374

Using Firefox 26.0, completely new download and installation.

For various purposes, I'd like to be able to resize the entire window of Firefox on a width smaller than 374 pixel, however it no longer works. It remains simply greater than or equal to 374 pixels. Before I did the update to 26.0 this works beautifully.

Of course I can do it with web developer, but I'd rather have all the Firefox window to pixel 200 or 300 width in pixels for example.

Note that with the bookmarklet you will probably run into safety problems that Firefox does not allow a page opens as a pop-up.

You can hide all toolbars in a new window and use userChrome.css code to set a smaller width min.

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #main-window:not([chromehidden~="toolbar"]) {min-width:200px!important;}

  • Refresh the view current firefox page by using the keyboard shortcut without concentrating on the firefox window.

I want to refresh the current page tab that the firefox browser open without focusing on that. For example, I focus on a text editor (creating a server-side code) and I save some changes and trigger my custom shortcut (IE [ctrl + alt + space + a]) key to refresh the firefox browser without concentrating on it.

You can do that with a keyboard shortcut without opening/development the Firefox window.

  • The firefox window "jumps" when he loses or gains focus. How can I stop this?

This seems to have started with the latest version of Firefox - 20.0.1
Whenever the focus leaves or enters the window of Firefox, the Firefox window "jumps." Can I stop this?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe or make changes.

When I launch Firefox, I get only the bottom of my browser in the Firefox window. I have the normal window for 1 second, but it changes in the background window only. So, without the toolbar or navigation. I have already reinstalled it, but it does not solve the problem.

Hello jonson00, please follow the troubleshooting steps in Firefox opens with a white or transparent window. If this solves the problem, it would be also interesting including the extension has a problem in your case. Thank you!

  • A url in an e-mail message opens in the firefox window and then open a new (replacing the original window.

Using Safari, when I click on a url in an e-mail message, it opens in a new window. Using Firefox, clicking on a url in an email replces the firefox window opened by a new one. I want that they open both.

Is the email in Firefox and this page is accessing the linked page, or is the e-mail message in a separate program, and it launches the URL in the last active window of Firefox?

If the problem is an external link, you can check your settings for the following preference:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste link.open and make a pause so that the list is filtered. Then look for that and if its value is not 2, change it to 2.

    Browser.Link.open_newwindow.override.external

-1 = open_newwindow applies to external links (default)

3 = open external links in a new tab

2 = open external links in a new window

1 = open external links in the active tab

Edit: Probably a good idea to check this one, too, and set it to 2 or 3, as you prefer.

    Browser.Link.open_newwindow

3 = divert new window into a new tab (by default) (checked *)

2 = allow the link to open a new window (uncontrolled *)

1 = new power window in the same tab

    * First check box in the Options > tabs (on Mac, preferences > tabs)

  • Content of the Firefox window above other windows

    Okay, maybe it's a strange.

Since the beginning of April, I had a problem with Firefox where when refreshes the contents of a tab (for example, on the tumblr dashboard), the content of the window will appear above any other window I opened.

    For example:
Firefox is open, and I also (for example) Excel open with a spreadsheet that I'm trying.

The two windows are maximized, and Excel in short - is on top of Firefox.

Firefox is not visible at this point, with the exception of his bar in the task bar.

Firefox updated then tumblr/echofon/whatever it is which is refreshing.

This is for a reason any causes the Firefox window to be returned on everything that is currently under discussion - Excel, for example - but not Firefox brings into focus. To get rid of what I need to develop Firefox, then return to the program I was using.

Are these ordinary web pages - it does not seem to be specifically associated with media players that write directly to the screen?

Could you try to disable graphics hardware acceleration? As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, the problem is solved?

  • I want to get rid of the Bing screen, but there is no "menu at the top of the Firefox window" for me "Select tools and then select the Add-ons menu item.

I suddenly have a 'Bing' screen when I connect on Firefox - and I want to get rid of it. The support section of Firefox says
1 "in the menu at the top of the Firefox window, seledt tools, and then select the Add-ons menu item." - but I don't see any 'menu item' tools, or much less modules.
    2. "in the window modules, click the Extensions Panel"- but how to find the Modules window?
    3. find the Bing and extended support to search toolbar in the list and then click on disable for each of them. ' - but what and where exactly is - this?

At the top of the screen is only an icon of Yahoo to the left and to the right of it, a search box, 'Web search', 'My Apps,' Yellow Pages,""Weather","Updates"and"Skype ". to the right of the people, there is a green cross saying "add more applications. to your toolbar"and to the right of this one kind of gear shift looking icon saying"toolbar settings ".
So, in short, how can I get rid of the Bing screen and how to access these tools?
    Thank you.

Versions of Firefox 3.6 + have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Press the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open view > toolbars and select menu bar, so it has a check mark.

The F10 can also be used on most PCs to temporarily reveal the menu bar.

  • How to reduce the firefox window border

I'm trying to get rid of the "border" above the line of tabs in Firefox 36.0 in white.
I wish that each tab to extend completely to the top of the screen so that when I push my mouse upwards and the screen limits the cursor to move more, he places the cursor on one of the tabs. For now, this puts the cursor over this border, so I then slightly down the mouse to click on the tab. Who is?
I guess an easy css line that I can add to my Chrome folder exists, but I'm not smart enough to know what it is.
I'm guessing that this border is a part of the line of tabs, otherwise, it can be the window border.

Basically, I would like to get the line of tabs in Firefox to be more like Chrome, it's the height of the button red X Windows (minimum space).

You can try to use a negative top-margin for the #TabsToolbar value in the userChrome.css file
I'm not on Windows, so it is impossible to check what value works.

    userChrome.css:

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #TabsToolbar { margin-top: -2px !important; }

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Where can I find the firefox window after installation on windows 8.1, to customize?

When I click on fiorefox it takes me directly to Bing. She does not have a window to change this, or customize it to something else. No home page, options, etc. My system is windows 8.1 64-bit.

If you don't see an address bar, toolbar buttons, etc., Firefox can be full screen to his point of view. The F11 function key toggles between normal display and full-screen.

On the toolbar, find the main button of the application on the right side, who has a stack of 3 horizontal bars. From there, you can click in the Options and check the setting of your home page. More on that here: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.

Alternatively, from the side Windows desktop instead of a tile on the start screen for Firefox if you did the first time. Firefox doesn't have a 'modern' for Windows 8 interface +.
