  I recently successfully left WXP to sync Win7 with Outlook 2003 to a Treo 680 unlocked via Blue Tooth.  I would like to upgrade to Outlook 2010 and after reading the hassles encountered with Outlook 2007, I am wondering if anyone has experience with synchronization to Outlook 2010? - or can advise of the likely pitfalls?

  Hello Grump1e and welcome to the forums of Palm.

  Officially, HotSync with Outlook 2010 is not supported.  Unofficially, he must hack your Office installation to do all that think that it is an earlier version of Office.  Neither are great options.  If you wish to continue using your Treo 680, I'd avoid the upgrade to Office 2010.  If you upgrade to a newer version of the office, then you may want to start looking for a new phone.

• Hot Sync Palm Z22 with 64 bit Windows 7

  I just bought a new Sony Vaio running 64-bit Windows 7 and I am unable to Hot Sync my Palm Z22 to my computer.  I've been a Palm user for years, my being my model 3 of the current one and it has been my lifeline, but I am very agitated and frustrated that Palm people haven't posted updates to manage my current situation.  Everything I've read here indicates that the extra money to go towards infrared and some people are not yet a success while others have long struggled to finally make sync.  Someone out there a similar situation as mine, which would be ready to give me advice as to what I have to do and how to do in order to get my Palm to connect with my 64-bit Windows 7 platform?  Thanks to all those who are able to help.

  I have a new Asus with Win7 x 64 and after looking here and there in the way of the IR. Find for less than $10 on ebay, delivered USB iRda devices. Bought one, installed, Windows downloaded the new driver and worked straightup. $10 spent wisely, will give me a few more years with my trusty Palm.

• Palm Z22 Hand held and gel desk top calendar sync

  When I try to sync the calendar throughout the system freezes the two top of (computer) desktop and hand-held (Z22).

  Cancellation does not have to reset the hand held and use the Task Manager to unlock the computer.

  The problem first started with all calendar being wiped of Palm Desktop data. This has happened before, but able to retrieve data via synchronization with the hand. However, due to its Frost that now is no longer an option.

  Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

  You most likely have some files corrupted in the database which is icy.

  Find the conduct of the calendar settings in the HotSync Manager program on your computer and set it to "do nothing". Do another HotSync and see if it ends.

  If so, I would say you install a free application under the name of 'DBFixit' of here.   Run it after installation and allow it to look for problems.  It will fix most of them for free, others may require register the app with the tax going to an animal shelter.

  Once the fix has been done, set the conduit back to 'Synchronize' and see what happens.

  My wife had a Zire 21. All of its data on computer name

  I got a Z22 and its data has been backed up also on computer under my name.

  I bought a new computer Z22 which i synced with my data on computer.

  Now, I want to give my wife my old Z22 and synchronize it with the date.

  It does not, it always synchronize with my data and refuses to synchronize with its data.

  I changed the name of the owner in Z22 and provided support and it still does not synchronize with its data?

• iPhone 4S syncs music on Win7 machine.

  Not music sync IPhone 4S.  With the help of Win7 on a new HP.  PC will recognize phone but do not know the installation of music.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  Spent two hours with Apple supports.  We got it to work, but when I try to add new music it fails.  All the music is now lost.  I looked at the requirements and that you have installed 64 bit.  I managed to synchronize with the PC with Windows XP and that worked but the PC is not mine.  It is leading me to believe it's a matter of Win7.  Any other suggestions?

  When I sync my Tour9630 I don't find contacts in the list of contacts of WIN7. I have 321 contacts in my Tower and 71 in Outlook Express. When I sync it says reading contacts from Windows address book 321. Is there another file in the windows Desktop Manager is written in too? I tried a search in WIN7 for the address book, but it came in white. Thanks for your help

  Please see this KB. The address book of Win7 is not currently supported for synchronization. Therefore, your contacts might go to one of the other PIMs that you mentioned. I suggest you choose a PIM to use, and then configure the synchronization all with this.

• Sync Z22 with MacBook OS 10.4 problem

  I had the Z22 for 2 years and only recently found a download that allow me to sync anything.  I am able to transfer my handheld computer on the desk with the Palm calendar, but it will not transfer addresses hundred for the Mac.  It must be weird because all the Q & A seems to be to go from the Office to your handheld.  My Info is on the handheld.

  I have information suggesting that I had a successful synchronization of all and yet the only thing on my Mac is an entry that I have one entry at a time.

  On the Palm desktop top of page right, it should be a drop-down user, see if there is another user. If so switch to the correct user.

  I have a palm Z22.   I got it for several years.  Recently, I downloaded 6.2.

  When I hotsync, everything happens as it should, but it freezes on the synchronization of the agenda.

  Here's what happens in a second nano:

  It date Book - aways stops here... 13 green bars, all 2 of 12.

  I have exactly the problem you have described on my Centro.  Looking through the other posts, I found a suggestion to install a program on your handheld called dbfixit.  It's free on cnet.  When you run it, it will not correct the errors (at least the free version won't), but it will tell you what are the mistakes.  If you look at the errors, it will give the date of the registration.  I had a few old calendar entries that had been corrupted.  I deleted them and then the sync works perfectly.  I hope this helps.

• Palm Z22 Hot Sync anomaly

  Hi all

  I'm new on this forum and had an unusual fact with Hot Sync-ing my Palm Z22 to my computer running Windows XP PRO. I created a new appointment in March of the year next on the handheld and when I sync it with my computer, there is no data for it.

  Does anyone know if there is a restriction of the civil year on Hot Sync that is only in the current year? Or is there a setting somewhere that I have to replace?

  I downloaded the hot version latest sync, however, my Z22 freezes when it gets to the step 8 - calendar synchronization.  Any suggestions?

  You would have to buy the paid version for repairs. You access your piping under hotsync > settings > Applications, adjust the lines at the office of the overwrights handheld if you data has been corrected on your device by DBFixit.

• Sync calendar Z22 to two XP computers fail - locked one

  I have a z22.  I have a laptop and desktop computer, both using XP pro.  I use Access 6.2.2 on both computers.  I can sync all applications of the Z22 very well with the laptop.

  Also, I can sync everything EXCEPT the calendar on the desktop.  When I try to sync the calendar with office, it freezes on all 3 synchronization options.  I tried to synchronize, crushing of the office and replacement of your handheld.  Everyone freezes on the synchronization process.  When I told him to ignore the agenda, it syncs very well.

  I tried

  1 reload the software on the desktop: still of the locks on the synchronization of the agenda.

  2. reset of your handheld.  Still locks on the sync of the calendar.

  3. reset of your handheld.  It worked.  I could sync back and forth between the office and your handheld.

  Then I tried your handheld on the laptop.

  1. the laptop could synchronize with your handheld.

  BUT

  1. when I returned to the office after synchronization with the laptop, it blocks again when I try to synchronize with the options of the agenda.

  2. after lock it on the desktop, handheld still syncs well with the laptop.

  Comment: I noticed that on the laptop Synchronization Manager shows Versa mail and quick installation above the Agenda on the list of applications.  On the desktop, it Agenda can be found at the top of the list.  Versa Mail nor Quick Install will appear on the desktop version of update.

  What happens when I sync with the laptop to the Agenda locked up on the desktop?  Can you help me as to what is happening?

  Hello..  Welcome to the forums of Palm.  You have a portable computer and a desktop computer have both XP pro and palm desktop 6.22.  What experienced you when you did the hard reset confirms my theory that your problem is corrupted data.  Now, the data is corrupted as seen on your desktop hotsync Manager.  The fix because it's download dbfixit, you will find doing a search on google and install it on your computer z22.  It is free, but he has a salary for her version.  With the free version, you can check for problems and it will let you know which event is corrupted and you can go to it and fix or remove it.  If you pay the $12.95 for a key "reg", they you by email within 24 to 48 hours, from the moment you buy it, it will automatically fix the problem.  Now there is something that happens on the laptop which is the origin of corruption who sees the office but after synchronization and using dbfixit, you should be able to make it work, but every time you synchronize the device even for computers multipul as a side effect that you see from time to time.
