Crop and straighten Images settings

I try to use Photoshop CS5 to crop and straighten images of postage stamps.  For example, place a bunch of stamps on the bed scanner and scan them into a single image.  Then use PLC/cultures and désincliner the Photos to create separate work spaces each with a picture of stamp unique, cropped and turned in an appropriate manner.  It works almost; the problem is that he often cultures stamps too closely, cutting the perforations.

Here are a few once cropped.

So is there a way to define the border?  Thanks in advance.

A slight variation on what has suggested the MSTURNER may also be considered.
Click and drag the background Quick Selection tool (select black areas)
Shift + Ctrl + I (the reverse selection)
Select > Modify > Expand > 20 pixels (or any other value that suits your needs)

  • Crop and straighten Script Enhancement

    As part of my work dealing usually 1500 or more images from one day to the next, I use the script Crop & Straighten included with Photoshop.

    The script works fine most of the time, but it seems to choose random small pieces of images that are recorded and should be deleted.

    I would use a Photoshop script to close images in a certain size of file/size of pixel to say, so I can eliminate the image fragments out until they are registered. I tried to modify the other scripts and write my own, but I'm not a programmer and make me nowhere.

    I was wondering if anyone would be able to help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Do you have the automated process economy?

    If this isn't the case, Script below could be adapted to save all these images that are not below the comprehensive measures.

    In any case, something like that could be used to close the images below certain widths and heights without saving any changes:

    Close the files below certain width or height in pixels.

    Use it at your own risk;

    #target photoshop

    var theDocs = app.documents.

    var originalRulerUnits = app.preferences.rulerUnits;

    app.preferences.rulerUnits = Units.PIXELS;

    for (var m = theDocs.length - 1; m > = 0; m-) {}

    var theWidth is theDocs [m] .width;.

    var theHeight is theDocs [m] .height;.

    to close the files below some width and height change. à &&;

    If (theWidth< 1000="" ||="" theheight="">< 1000)="">

    theDocs [m] m:System.NET.Sockets.Socket.close (SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES)

    }

    };

    app.preferences.rulerUnits = originalRulerUnits;

  • Try to line up and the image of the product turn to all air essentially uniform - what is the best way to do this in a jackpot?

    Hi all

    I recently did a photo shoot with about 150 different, but very similar products on a white background totally blown away. Each is turned a little differently and positioned slightly differently than others. I want all upward line them in the same place on the chassis so that when you view a catalog online page they appear uniform.

    What I come up with so far is to bring them into a photoshop file stacked in the layer, then slide guides where each corner should be (they are roughly square, but turned to a sort of diamond) and adjust each layer and turn to adjust. Subsequently I toggle visibility on each layer and save it in JPG format.

    Any thoughts on a better process? I have the creative suite together to work with.

    Thank you!

    Without some of the images to test, the following is offered as a possible solution that spin, align and Center the image. It's the strategy:

    Write an Action that will be:

    1. open the file and garbage of the lock.

    2 Cmd + click click the new layer in the layers panel to place a layer underneath the product.

    3. return to the upper layer and double-click it in the layers panel to bring up the layer Style.

    4. in the section mixture if at the bottom of layer Style, move left until that disappears white blown in the illustration the high gray-scale slider to the right page. (It will be the same for all).

    5 layer > merge down (image precision silhouette is now a single layer and has a transparent border)

    6 file > Automate > Crop and straighten photos (since the skin is transparent, it will turn the picture. Selection not required).

    7. save the file

    Then:

    Load files into a pile

    Choose all layers

    Select the Options toolbar move and align on the center vertical and horizontal (or low) of each image

    Save layers as files

  • How to get an original RAW image after cropping and openness RAW file?

    Hello

    I have a Canon EOS 350 d camera and now PSE 9.  I have taken a few RAW images & imported in PSE 9 OK.  I know that the original RAW image is preserved after the change.  However, after cropping a picture BRUTE of the editor and then "Open" and "save under" a PSD or JPEG, I then close the image in the editor and the cropped image appears in the Organizer.  This is as it should be, I think.  If I then want to start from scratch on the original RAW image, it seems to me that I have to manually remove the modified version and the .xmp file in Windows Explorer, and then double-click the RAW file in Windows Explorer, which then open correctly in the editor of PES 9 of origin.  Is this possible to PSE 9?

    When you open the original camera raw image, go to the context menu

    and choose default Camera Raw, which resets everything except the crop, straighten,

    and rotatate parameters.

    To get rid of the culture and/or straighten the settings, click on and hold on to the crop tool and choose the option clear crop.

    To reset the settings of Image rotation, you have the back turn manually using the image rotation buttons.

  • CS6 crop tool and the image disappears?

    I am new to CS6. Sometimes when I use the the crop tool, the picture I want to crop disappears from the display. Can not see where to place the crop so I end up with a blank screen/window. When I click on another tool, a window pop up asking me if I want to harvest? To which I click on the button 'not fit' and my image reappears. As soon as I click on the crop tool once again, the image disappears again.

    Why? What I am doing wrong? It happens not every time.

    Which sounds like you have a problem with video card driver (like a lot of similar positions in the general forum of Photoshop).

    Try to update your driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU video card.

  • How to cancel a cropped and turned to ACR RAW images

    Can someone advise to return to the original RAW image once the image has been published in ACR.

    "Reset Camera Raw default" seems to do everything but undo crop and rotation of the image.

    How to cancel these or go back to the original unedited image?

    Thank you very much

    Delete the XMP files because they contain all never change instructions worn in ACR or other publishers such as Lightroom or Aperture.

    If you can find the CR2 file in Solution Explorer, right-click on it and select open with Photoshop Elements. It will automatically open in ACR. You can also use free software PLR that comes with canon cameras and has more tools than ACR.

Then, with no reason so that I can determine, although the images were always be straightened, they were no longer to be cropped out. I would appreciate if anyone has a solution for this. • Satellite U400-112 - WoW problems and the image is not good

    Hello!

    My laptop is Satellite U400-112 and matching video Intel X 3100.

    When I play in openGL, 3D graphics on minimum and the image quality are not good. The same situation with Direct3D even worse. I have a guess - the game not installed, I copied the folder with the game on another computer, maybe I need to reinstall? I installed the latest drivers for the video of the official website of Intel.

    Maybe someone have the same problem and can help me to solve it.

    Hello

    This only happens on the world of Warcraft or in other games too?

    I'm a bit confused because you have set the minimum graphics and then you wrote that the photo isn't good in my opinion that's normal as the photo isn't good, if you play on minimum graphics settings.
    Maybe you can post a screenshot screen or something else.

    You also need to update DirectX version on your laptop that you can find on the Microsoft Web site.

  • How can I remove the user name and the image of Windows XP new Start Menu

    Two questions:

    1. How can I delete the user name and the image of Windows XP new start; and

    2. my computer keeps asking me to press the F1 key to start Windows.  How to skip this part?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    The image of user account can be removed by disabling the Welcome screen. Or, by opting for the classic Windows theme. Follow the method described in this article, if you want to remove the user name and the picture in the Start Menu, without disabling the Welcome screen and Windows XP theme.

    For those who want to delete the user name and the image of user account from the Start Menu, in order to have a blue white Panel at the top, try this:

    Registry warning
    Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756/

    Step 1:

    a. start Windows Explorer and go to this folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account images

    b. in this folder, rename the BMP file that corresponds to your user account.

    (For example, if your user name is Robert, rename Robert.bmp to old_Robert.bmp)

    c. then rename the following folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\Default pictures

    to something else, for example,.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\No_Default images.

    Step 2:

    To remove the user name, follow these steps

    a. Click Start, click "RUN" and type "regedit.exe" and navigate to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Software-Windows Microsoft\------CurrentVersion-policies-Explorer

    b. in the right pane, the value NoUserNameInStartMenu-value data 1.

    c. close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.

    You'll find yourself with a blue area at the top of the Start Menu.

    Regarding the pressing 'F1' to start Windows, you have made no changes or was there a system crash after which the problem started?

    You may need to change the boot sequence in the BIOS to the default settings. I recommend you contact your PC vendor for this.

    Warning of the BIOS:
    BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • Emulator CVS displays bitmap color black and white images

    I use a VBAI2009 inspection on 1454 CVS which uses a camera firewire AVT Guppy F - 036C. This system is on a production machine inspect the product we make. VBAI uses the legacy IMAQ for IEEE 1394 on a CVS not the driver IMAQ-dx cameras. The VBAI script contains several steps function color inspection. To get the AVT camera to display the color, I had to install the files of MAX camera using the Bayer color tab because Bayer settings are not accessible from the driver on the CVS IMAQ. I'm no adjustment of the camera of the VBAI. This configuration works well and has worked for 6 months on the machine of production without any problem.

    Now, I need to edit the VBAI script but can't stop the machine to make the changes and test the program. I captured images bitmap using MAX during the inspection was installed 6 months ago and they stored on my host for just such an occasion. I am using these captured images and the CVS emulator in VBAI to make the changes to the program offline. I performed the inspection under the CVS emulator and the acquisition stage is configured to point to the captured bitmap images using the button Configure Simulation settings. The problem I have is that bitmaps are displayed as black & white in the emulator, even if these are images of color seen with paint. I can't find a way to fix this. Is - this problem as a result of using the parameters of Bayer to create the image color or something else in the emulator? The emulator, no installation of color image treats?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Mark

    The stages of acquisition camera record video mode information used to acquire images. If you use these steps in emulation mode, it converts the type size and the image to match what has been gained for calibration and processing step use the same type of image. Looks like than the stage thought that the image was mono, even if you got it to be color. I will consider how it could have be saved incorrectly when you use the settings of Bayer. In the short term, you can disable the acquisition stage (don't delete so you do not lose the camera settings saved in step) and use a stage of acquisition of simulation or a new phase in the acquisition of 1394 and won't force the image size/type.

    Hope this helps,

    Brad
