0x0000007B on Vista - Original phones died, replacement causes this error on all modes of Windows cannot connect to apply patches.

Hello everyone, I would be grateful if a nice person or two can help me with this please.

I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium (OEM). The computer worked fine for months and then the motherboard had problems, so I transferred my hard drive on another PC. The PC starts after the POST screen and very briefly on the Vista loading screen, for a second or less.

Then I get a STOP: 0x0000007B (0x80699BB0, 0xc00000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) BSOD.

I tried the Startup Repair, that can not fix the problem.
Initially, the System Recovery Options flashed upwards until I clicked next to the search for problems. He finds problems with startup options, with the option to repair and restart.

The details of this are:
The following startup options will be added:
Name: Windows (TM) Code name "Longhorn"
Preinstallation Environment (recovered)
Path: Windows
Windows Device: Partition = F: (7993MB)
A copy of current boot configuration data will be saved as:
C:\Boot\BCD. BackUp.0001

Clicking on repair and restart gave me back the BSOD 0x0000007B.

Ebb in the Startup Repair, he is then allowed to select my Vista installation and click next to check for errors.
Once it is completed, it is said that Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

The details of the problems that we found are:
Problem event name: StartupRepairV2

I think I installed all the drivers from the motherboard and I still get the error.

I've also seen a lot of posts online about enabling the AHCI on Vista and I have tried the registry changes suggested:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/922976
But without success, I always get the same BSOD.

There was a Hotfix from Microsoft, which seems to relate to this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955252/en-us problem and also a Microsoft FixIt file that would automatically change the registry as indicated above, but I am only able to load options of recovery for Vista, which means that files, fix and FixIt won't run command line.

Is it possible to run these command prompt files that I don't know?
These files would even help me?

I really want to reinstall Vista if it can be avoided. Please could someone help?

Hey Hazza1471

"I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium OEM".

I'm sorry, but you cannot move the hard disk to another computer and expect to boot from it

also an oem license is related to the original computer that it is installed on

  • Windows cannot connect to the Internet using HTTP, HTTPS or FTP. __This is probably caused by settings of firewall on this computer. __

I recently installed the version of Norton, after that I was unable to use the internet, I thought it was the Norton firewall settings. After having playing with her for 30 minutes, I gave up and uninstalled Norton. I have disabled the firewall, I have reset the default settings. Here is the message I get when I run a diagnostic. A crazy thing is that I can connect to internet when I connected to this same computer as a guess.

    Please help me!

Windows cannot connect to the Internet using HTTP, HTTPS or FTP.
This is probably caused by the settings of firewall on this computer.

Check the settings of firewall for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (443) and FTP port (21).

    Hi rhonda9937,

    1. what browser you are using to connect to the internet?

It is not recommended to keep Windows Firewall disabled on the computer.

This would happen if the ports are not open in the Windows Firewall.

I suggest that you open ports in Windows Firewall and check if it works.

  • The following error during the installation of Windows: "cannot start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

    Help, please! Installing Windows Interrupted!

Hi recently my computer was giving me a bit of concern for example (running slow, do not easily light etc...). A couple of days, my computer has decided not to put on after a glance on the net (on my other computer), I found I had a problem call KSoD or black screen of death, therefore I went on youtube and made all the different things said youtubers can fix this how ever none of these things worked, so finally I decided that I would have factory reset my computer/windows to using the system restore. However, at half way through the installation of windows after the factory reset (my computer came with no disk Windows), my computer has decided to remove what I believe to be called a blue screen of death, that this happened before and I thought it was part of the installation but when I turned my computer on he showed at the bios screen , but then it said 'unable to start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem: 1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. choose your language settings, and then click Next. "3 click on repair your computer ' all this is very well apart from the fact that I do not have the windows installation disc. I'm stuck at this screeni however have a disc of windows 7 and that he was going to install windows7 after I got my vista Setup! but the only I see is the bio screen so I was wondering if there was some way I could install windows 7 from the bios or simply delete the entire half installed this error files windows vista from the bios screen? Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Or get a new internal HDD would fix the problem aswell?

  • When you install Windows Vista on a laptop I get this error code 0 x 80070057

I tried to fix & mobile friends for a while now & I have noticed that, during the installation of Windows Vista, it fails with a few different answers. The error code that showed, the majority being 0 x 80070057.

The laptop is a MSI VR602 with a broken DVD player (I was the installation via USB) & other potential problems.

A past remarkable repair I knew everything was the screen being smashed.

However, when I saw if I could install it on my custom built computer installation flows well (I used the laptop HARD drive)

I then tried using the disk HARD in the portable windows would begin not with success.

I think that the cause could be the big difference in the environment.

I formatted the HARD drive many times & installed via USB laptops with the same result.

I also noticed another post that it is possible that the SATA connections could be blamed.

Also at the start I noticed he said something like 'S.M.A.R.T. capable but failed the control unit'. When you check this on my computer, when starting my CHIP on my HARD drive just off computer & laptops.

The HARD drive is a Western Digital WD2500BEVT.

Windows Vista Home Basic final first version so that I could use the original serial code.

I can't try it with an another HARD drive that I have not access to all.

It would work if the installer has used the same exact files two mega & but there is no chance of this change.

If someone happens to have a copy of the MSI files used on this computer is would be muched aprciated. (Sorry for the bad spelling)

    It is a 32-bit system.

Another point is that when I tried to install Windows XP it installed for most, but crashed & had the problem with hal.dll file missing.

Please post a reply if you know one. If you need information additional just ask.

Don't worry, I managed to solve the problem. It's a corrupt installer. I have the laptop runs like new.

    Hello community support!

The? beside the forward/backward arrows persisted even after upgrade to El Capitan. What is its cause and how to fix it?

    Thank you

    Dave bias

    Dave,

It is most likely a remnant of a folder or a link that no longer exists on your iMac.

Right-click on the toolbar and click on "Icon and text." Who can tell you what it was.

You can use (command + click - move) to remove from the toolbar.

  • "windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. What is causing this error message?

However, I can get around this by opening the 'administration tools' function gives me a "favourites" to access online to my list of Favorites and I can use the address bar there to surf any site on the net.  But using just a direct click on icons from function on my desk or in my list of product startup message that I typed in my original question.

Have you tried to get into your program files and an opening of the actual .exe program, instead of a shortcut? Shortcuts on your desktop can be screwed up somehow, so make new shortcuts could fix.

Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 to solve this problem, you must perform a repair of Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 installation. To perform a repair of Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 installation, follow these steps:

    1. Close all applications and restart the computer.
    2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD or Windows Server 2008 DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. In the settings window, click install now.

      1. Click Start

        Collapse this includes this image

and then type Drive: \setup.exe in the box start the search .

      2. In the list of programs , click Setup.exe.
      3. In the settings window, click install now.
    4. Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).

Not without any information at all. You say what computer model, the error message, and if this causes problems. Some error reports are completely benign and can be ignored - as the test of a cd without disc inside player. This will give file read errors. If you encounter any problems, simply ignore the report.

I had the same problem. Just fixed it by following the instructions on a blog post. Link is below.

The error on each page that requires flash. It does not Flash from loading, but is extremely annoying. I read this topic elsewhere. The problem is that Flash Player Plugin 11.9 is not compatible with Firefox 24 So until Adobe finds a solution for this, you will need to upgrade to Flash Player 11.8. This solves the problem and prevents the annoying message popping up again.
