  Check to make sure that the account works fine by logging on to webmail.  If it works, then try deleting your e-mail account and then close and reopen WinMail (if this is your e-mail program) and then add your account again.  You can also try to compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to eliminate the problems of the antivirus.  If everything which does not help do, there may be a message coming to dump on the server making it impossible to download the rest of the messages from WInMail.  If yes then you can try to delete messages in webmail or to have your ISP to delete the problem message to clear the queue.

  This indicates that the connection with the server has been ignored.  Is - this recent?  Check with your ISP to see if they are doing maintenance on their servers.  Also, see if you can access your account via webmail and compare what you get with webmail for what are received you, assuming you are using OE.

  I had intermittent problems receiving emails... nothing for days and then receive emails everyday.

  My ISP feels that there is a problem with my mail running on Windows 7 client.

  Error message:

  Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Rogers (fromanin). Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

  Thank you very much!!! I've been dealing with this issue since July and have endured countless hours of frustration dealing with staff of Technical Support of my ISP with no satisfaction. After all, I've tried, it's amazing to see how your solution worked.

  I went to my Rogers/Yahoo mail server, archived all 1624 read e-mails in my Inbox and benefit services normal e-mail yesterday.

  With your permission, I would like to send your e-mail to my ISP solution, so other customers with the same question, put around by insufficient support of the Tech.

• Outlook Express with ATT U-verse Internet

  Could use REALLY help!  I recently moved and changed to ATT U-verse Internet service.  I'm trying to continue to use Outlook Express for e-mail.  Used OE for more than 10 years without any problem on 2 different cable operators.  After changing the settings of accounts / start ATT U-verse Guide, I can't send or receive email.  phone support (ESL) level 1 has failed several times to share control and told her level 2 that he was 'out of their reach!  Looks like they give bad information about the settings as ATT servers (actually Yahoo!) simply reject access. SMTP error is 0x800CCCOF.  Error POP is 0x800CCC18.  Of course, cannot recommend U-verse Internet service!
