  I am looking for a driver for Windows XP that supports an external monitor to 1680 x 1050 on a Tecra S3.
  So far with the Toshiba drivers I can only use 1440 x 900.
  The monitor can be detected through its resolution.

  1. There is no official driver of Toshiba or Nvidia with this resolution.
  I tested the driver 165.01 http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers with the external resolution 1680 x 1050 and it works very well.
  Download the driver and updated the inf file.

  2. even if you are using the docker, there is no way to use two external monitors connected VGA and DVI simultaneously. This is not supported.
  Only of external solutions with a separate adapter grafics provide (for example Toshiba Dynadock, a usb solution). But from my point of view, all are not very satisfactory.

  BSOD is the result of a serious software, issue or hardware malfunction.
  You said that this BSOD appears after installation of the graphics driver.

  First of all; have you installed the graphics driver on the right?
  On the other hand; have you installed Win XP patches?

  The Toshiba driver page provides a few Win XP drivers for this model of laptop
  The drivers are placed in the Archives area because this laptop is an oldie
  Must check

  If the BSOD still appears after updating Windows XP and after installation of the good driver then a hardware problem could be the reason of this problem
  By hardware malfunction, I mean the number of graphic chip or module memory problem.

  What I still need is a proper display driver, as Toshiba offers only one for ATI.

  I found lots of posts with similar topics in the www (laptopvideo2go, Nvidia, etc.), but no driver appropriate until now. NVIDIA does not directly support the Toshiba drivers.

  So I asked a Toshiba solution and mentioned that a beta driver might help as well since I don't need grafic performance on this machine (not 3d stuff and I will not play games here) simply work ;-).

  They responded very quickly and provided a link to an unsigned driver _Satellite_ X 200. Unfortunately this driver leads to the same result (similar to: "not supported hardware...") installation is finished').

  It would be great if someone had an idea

  I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and, unfortunately, I didn't find the NVIDIA drivers for the XP operating system. There are only Vista drivers, and I guess that graphic driver XP Toshiba satellite/Satego X 200 doesn t exist.

  I think that you have no other choice than to seek a 3rd party sites a compatible driver :(

  I have a M30-404 and I had problems with the graphics (nvidia GeForceTM FX Go5200) driver.

  The interface works very well with the standard vga driver in windows, but when I install the driver nvidia screen remains black. Sometimes, you see the desktop and you can move the mouse for 2 seconds, then it freezes.

  The Toshiba European driver page doesn't seem to provide the Win 7 disks for L30.
  The L30 is a bit old and it seems that the drivers Win 7 will come out for this series more

  On the European driver page, you can find the Vista display driver
  In many cases the Vista drivers work under Win 7

  I think you should try your luck and should try to reinstall the display driver of the Toshiba page European driver released for Vista OS.

  Otherwise, you need to search on external 3rd-party pages

  It seems there is no driver available for your product on the site of HP Windows 8.  This is perhaps why you have questions.  You should consider the upgrade for the Windows 10 operating system, in which there are drivers available.  Please post back with the results.  I hope this helps.

  I have an Inspiron 5000e (2001) and to replace the old hard drive (IBM Travelmate 10 GB) against a new, a Seagate Ultra ATA (80 GB).

  I partitioned the new drive HARD, C with Fat32 (30 GB), D with NTFS (47 GB).

  Then I had to run Fdisk from a floppy, the computer could identify them.

  On C, I had Windows ME (German version) a success, but the Grafic driver was missing, and I couldn't see D more.

  When I tried to put Windows XP (English version) on D, an error message came during the installation process: "NTLDR is missing". Plant was shut down.  Y at - there anyprogram to put that right on the hard disk during the installation process?

  Also after that, C not more also began.

  What I will do, to bring at least Windows XP on a partition, it is able to securely access internet and normal working office?
