10.1.3.1 to 11G SOA upgrade

Hello

We use SOA/BPEL 10.1.3.1 for integration and the appserver is OC4J. SOA 11 g is built on WebLogic? Any pointer to upgrade to 11g SOA/BPEL?

Thank you.

  • ODI 10 g for 11g repository upgrade: problem while reusing the schema

    Hello

I've successfully upgraded repository from 10g to 11g using AU.  To account for changes in the repository of 10g, we need to drop the repository 11g existing and re-implementation to date the initial 10 g repository.

I truncated patterns of upgrade to 11g (repo master and work) in the database and copied the contents of 10g in empty schemes.

But while trying to update the diagrams using AU, the AU is to show that the scheme of the ODI is already updated!

It seems that AU is looking at some papers from previous update.

Is it possible to identify / modify the previous update connects so that I can use the same details of schema in AU and upgrade again.

    Hi Debbie,

I think you can delete these records from the SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY table.

You will find this under SYSTEM account table in your database 11g.

    I hope this helps.

  • 11g - 10g upgrade

Hi experts, I have read the pdf

    Business Intelligence 11g.

10.1.3.4.1 version (Build 090414.1900) can be upgraded to 11g?

  • Impact on existing deployed SOA upgrade 11.1.1.2 to 11.1.1.3 query services

Our Fusion Middleware infrastructure is at version 11.1.1.1 and upgrade us to Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.

The table below shows the current version and the version we want to go.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    | Component | Current worm | Worm targets |
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Oracle SOA Suite. 11.1.1.2. 11.1.1.3
    WebLogic Server | 10.3.2. 10.3.3
    AIA | 2.5 | 11.1.1.3
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have the following questions about the upgrade
1 > our existing services would get affected somehow after the upgrade?
2 > would it need to recompile and redeploy all BPEL and ESB services?
3 > our BPEL console would lose data from previous runs of BPEL?

    Thank you
    Arun

    Hi Arun,

1 > would be our existing services get affected somehow after the upgrade?

    No, it wouldn't.

2 > we would have to recompile and redeploy all BPEL and ESB services?

Recommended, but perhaps not necessary for all services.

3 > our BPEL console would lose data from previous runs of BPEL?

Performance data will be lost, as you put it in the schema as well (in fact you must delete old patterns and re-create new ones using RCU upgraded)

  • Composition of 11g SOA Suite

Hi all. There seems to be broad confusion (at least where I work) on what is 11 + g + SOA Suite. With the 11.1.1.3.0 patch release, BPMN tools are included in the download. To me, this seems to indicate that the Oracle SOA Suite 11 + g + includes BPMN as part of the offer and as a result, the former Oracle BPM Suite is no more.

Is this the case? Or, is it an Oracle BPM Suite 11 + g + as an element of price separately?

I'm here looking for an official position (if possible) Oracle - not opinion.

(I would like to ask our representative Oracle (a) if we had one, and (b) if I had this kind of connections)

  • Boot.Properties does not not in 11g SOA (Enterprise Linux) environment

I need to get this to work because I want to auto-start the managed server (SOA).

    This is the problem...

The Administration of server script ($MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/startWebLogic.sh) works perfectly. I am not prompted for a user name or password.

The installation gives me two (different) scripts of the same name - startManagedWebLogic.sh

One of these scripts is $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.2/common/bin. I ignored it. The 2nd (the one I use) is of $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin

The location of the file boot.properties (alone) is not clear to me. I placed two copies of the same file (two files - not a link) in $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains and $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain

Each file looks like this: -.

    # Generated by the Configuration Wizard...
    username = weblogic
    password = BIENVENUE1

If I run startManagedWebLogic.sh leave a Terminal, I am prompted for the user name and password.

I enter the user name (weblogic) and the password (eu1) and starts the server of the SOA.

In unattended mode, the invocation is (actually) that: -.

    nohup startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1 > mwl.log 2 > & 1 &

In this case, an exception is thrown (weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException)

It seems quite clear to me that the boot.properties file that is to be ignored because there is a configuration value that should not be used or, more likely, it's in the wrong place!

When you start the managed server, it gives to the boot.properties in the root directory of the default server. Therefore, you should put your boot.properties file in the server root directory.

Maybe it's in your case: $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/ManagedServerName/directory.

Alternatively, you can specify the location of the boot.properties file by using the following setting:
    -Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile = filename
where filename is the full qualified path of an identity of valid boot file name.

To specify this argument in startManagedWebLogic.sh script, add - Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile as the variable JAVA_OPTIONS value. For example:
    Set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=C:\BEA\user_domains\mydomain\boot.properties

The path variable can be ruined in this environment.

It's what WLS doc said about this error:
BEA-090771 Error: Server is running in development Mode and Native Library (terminalio) to read the password safe command line is not found.

    Description
Server is running in development Mode and Native Library (terminalio) to read the password safe command line is not found.
    Cause
Server could not start because it did not find the Native library to read the password securely from the command line in the path or - Dweblogic.management.allowPasswordEcho = false is set.
    Action
Ensure that the library of terminalio exists in the path. You can set the type of specification - Djava.library.path to the directory where it is this library or you can use boot.properties to store the password, or you can use - Dweblogic.management.allowPasswordEcho = true to enter the password in echo mode.

    _ Try these steps
    1. unset variable JAVA_OPTIONS and try to start the server managed by using the following command:
    ./startManagedWeblogic.sh soa_server1

2 set variables WLS_USER & WLS_PW environment with correspondents username & password and try to run the command start
    ./startManagedWeblogic.sh soa_server1

From your post, it seems that there is a typo error in the command that you used:
    "
    JAVA_OPTIONS = - Dweblogic.managerment.allowPasswordEcho = true
    "
You typed wrongly as 'managerment' instead of 'management '.
If you use this option disabled WLS_USER & WLS_PW environment variables.

Try the above steps and let me know if it works or not.

  • Oracle 11g upgrade in AIX 6.1 with HACMP

    Hi friends,

As I have two Power servers in AIX 6.1 with oracle 10g in HACMP in which SAP application runs.

That is independent of database and other Central Instance.

I did 11g successfully upgrades in my DEV and QAS servers which are nonclustered environment.

Now I want to upgrade even in PRD tends in HACMP.

Let me know what are the areas should I focus especially on the servers in cluster environment.

    Thank you

    Hari

I'm still not sure what you mean by a DB server and a CI server.

In a configuration HACMP, 2 node, Id expect to see something like

/ U01 hosts ORACLE_HOME locally on each node
/u04...etc/u03/U02 are HA mounts you will see on the active node. In your case I suppose that its all the materials for lv, but if that's true you also put your ORACLE_HOME to be a point of mounting HA

    >
    ..
    / dev/lv_pip_64 10.00 18988 5.73 43% 2% / oracle/PIP/102_64
    ..
    >

on your passive node, compare the mount points and itll be clearer. If you have your Oracle_home to be as much a mount HA, Id be careful with who you are, then past to the operating system with host names on install. But anyone who installed it would be tested failover (you hope) leaves thus temporarily assumes its ok. It's easier then on you that you only 1 upgrade to do and that is on the mounted oracle_home.
