  I suggest you to check that the downloaded file is available at the following location.

  C:\Users\ user Personal

  Note: It is the default location for downloads.  You will probably find your file.

  Looks like Windows is confused and looking for a file that is no longer there. Try using the brush included in the CD or download.

  Of the original printer installation CD:
  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup
  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open
  3 open the Util folder
  4 open the CCC folder
  5. run the L4.bat uninstall_ for computers not HP. For HP computers, run the Uninstall_L3.bat
  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

• Cannot open the downloaded documents

  Running Windows 7 Home Premium.  When I try to open the downloaded documents I get the error message "Microsoft Wordstarter 2010 cannot be opened. Try again or repair the product in the Panel.  Try gives the same result again. Could not find anything in the Panel that appears to appy.

  Save the file to your hard drive, open Word Starter 2010, click file > open > navigate where the file is saved on your hard drive.

• Cannot restore the downloads folder to the original location

  Dear community,

  I have a new computer Windows 8.

  The hard drive is split into two, OS (C :) and DATA (d) and I realized that all my files were stored in the C: drive)

  I read online that you can change the location of folders like "My documents" by clicking on properties and change the location to the other disk.

  I did it for the Documents folders and everything was fine, I had a Documents folder in my D: drive.

  Then I did the same with my downloads folder and selected the location D:\

  After that, I realized that my D: drive and file downloads completely merged!

  Which means, when I went to my DATA (d :)) I could find all my downloads and My Documents folder.

  Still, when I was clicking on Downloads, My Documents folder was inside!

  So I clicked on downloads and tried to restore the default location, but I got the error message that it was impossible to "create sublists under D: System Volume Information. Access Denied» I tried to introduce the location manually, but the same thing happened.

  Now, my downloads folder has changed its name, it is called D:\ and my disk DATA (d :)) says in the location tab its default location is C:/users/downloads)

  I don't understand why this happened and that cannot be good for the functioning of my PC...

  Can I restore my system to just before that happened even if I never 'saved' my computer?

  If not, what can I do to fix this?

  I only did this for awhile and can't find my notes...

  I think that you can get the error because you are trying to get the DOWNLOADS folder... AND it's the content... This will not work because they are now scattered on D:\.

  If asked about the files, select NO, and then copy back them manually after you move downloads.

  OR... you could leave it here just temporarily, return downloads, create a folder for downloads on D: and then move again into the folder you have created. Then, cut and paste your files into it...

  If you are copy/move photos from your device to your PC then all you need to do is to select the photos you want and use the option to copy/move (from the right click menu of the mouse) and paste in the photo on your PC folder. Standard copy and paste. Need not do anything.

• cannot decompress the downloaded files

  Can not find a way to decompress the downloaded files.  Watching several video tutorials on YouTube, but my options are not the option "extract files".  What's wrong?

  What are the file types of the zipped files you are trying to extract (the extension to three digits after the name of the file)?  Compression not all types are managed by Vista (or other programs) - some require special proprietary software or work only with some compression software.

  Here are two articles on the implementation of compression in Vista right click: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/65254-zip-file-support-restore.html and http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/93827-zip-file-compressed-folders.html. These articles should tell you how to activate and deactivate the compaction and reset Vista compression options so you can extract the files.

  If you can not get Vista compression/decompression works correctly despite these instructions, you can simply try to download and install 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ which provides essentially the same functionality in a free and easy to use program.  Many people use this program (or other similar) instead of Vista program for various reasons.  You can do this if only as a workaround until we get Vista programs work correctly on your system.
