10.11.2 update: why I had to communicate with Apple ID

Hi all

I would like to know why I had to connect with my Apple ID when I upgraded 10.11.2? (which has been implemented)

Are my data stored somewhere else?

Where can I stop this?

Kind regards

What do you mean with 'connect with my Apple ID'? It could mean different things:

  • You use your Apple ID to connect your Mac.
  • You have enabled iCloud on your Mac.
  • OS X updated 10.11.2 to update your configuration iCloud on your Mac, you will be asked for your Apple ID.

If it was related to iCloud, iCloud is a service that synchronizes your data between all your Apple devices, and it also allows you to check your e-mail address @me.com or @icloud.com. You can disconnect from the iCloud or disable features iCloud in the preferences system-> iCloud.
