10.2.0.4 to Informix with dg4odbc Oracle connection error
We have Oracle 10.2.0.4 in RHEL 4 (x86_64). We have installed Oracle Gateway (11.1.0.6.0) in an another ORACLE_HOME to connect to databases via ODBC.We have successfully installed and configured an ODBC connection to the SQL Server through Oracle Gateway with UnixODBC + FreeTDS. The dblinks works very well.
We are now trying to set up another connection to a server, Informix (32-bit), but we get this error:
-----
SQL > select * from tabla1@test_informix;

Any ideas?
Thank you!
DataDirect offered in the past a driver suitable for Informix 7.3. Maybe you should get in touch with their support on a driver.
Now for the problem of the Transaction:
DG4ODBC usually opens a transaction because it allows to the commit or rollback, a update/insert/delete. When the Informix database is nolog mode the open transaction fails. You can enable logging on the Informix database, but it might cause reduced performance on the Informix db.
Another approach is a patch generated for DG4IFMX (7417128), which can also be used for DG4ODBC well after the re-establishment of links then customer and the DG4ODBC:
genagtsh $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libagtsh.so 1.0
do idg4odbc $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk f
Check out Metalink if she is available for your platform and set the parameter as described in the readme file.
He has worked in the past with of Datadirect ODBC drivers. Unfortunately it failed for some Informix drivers.
Rather than buy the Datadirect ODBC driver, you may also think of the use of the DG4IFMX. He is certified with 7.31 Informix.

error with DG4ODBC implementing connectivity to oracle for IBM iSeries AS400 version V7R1
Hello
I have linux Enterprise 64-bit database hosting Oracle 11 GR 2 64-bit (11.2.0.1). I have access to IBM iSeries AS400 version V7R1. I'm trying to connect to IBM iSeries of Oracle database with ODBC connectivity using the database link. Here's what I did.
Host (Linux) database installed iSeriesAccess - 7.1.0 - 1.0.x86_64.rpm provided by IBM.
My odbcinst.ini file has the following entries:

I have looked up on the forums of Oracle errors and could not do any help anywhere.
Can someone kindly help where I'm wrong?
Thank you
RAM.
You have activated the gateway trace level 255 (HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = 255) which includes also ODBC calls but there is no reference in your file odbc.ini to trace odbc library and it seems that the trace ODBC lib is not found in the ODBC driver manager lib directory.
Test without bridge tracing turned on (just remove the parameter HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = 255).
In addition, I recommend to add to your gateway init file:
HS_FDS_FETCH_ROWS = 1 (as the iSeries ODBC is not supported in bulk pick)
and
HS_NLS_NCHAR = UCS2

Create a postgres with dg4odbc oracle dblink
Hello
I am creating a dblink from an Oracle (10.2.0.3) database to PostgreSQL (8.3.11) database with DG4ODBC (11.2.0.1.0).
I installed the 64-bit driver postgres:
I am the /oracle/.odbc.ini configuration:file /usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so /usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), stripped
I am setting up the /oracle/product/DG4ODBC/hs/admin/initrecord.ora like this:[record] Driver=/usr/lib64/psqlodbc.so Description = PostgreSQL ODBC Servername = cdxlan035 Port = 5435 Username = rec_lct Password = rec_lct Database = REC_TEST

MathieuYes, you need to have a (psqlodbc.so) ODBC driver and the ODBC Driver Manager (very common name is libodbc.so). If you are absent Manager ODBC drivers that you find for example the unixodbc.org and once you have it installed you need to fix HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME to refer to the driver manager. The driver manager will check the file odbc.ini and according to the specified DSN, it will load your ODBC driver.

Daniel,
The problem is that you are using the ODBC Postgres driver for the HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME parameter, but this must be an ODBC driver manager and not the driver ODBC Psotgres.
Go to the.Click the 'Download' and follow the instructions to download the 2.3.1 pilot and make libraries and programs.
Once this is done, then use the driver as parameter HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME Manager, for example-
HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME =/home/odbc64/unixODBC/2.3.1/lib/libodbc.so
Depending on where you install it.
Kind regards

When sharing my project there are some clips that show a red screen with a camera saying error. How can I solve these clips if I can share the project correctly?
This happens usually when the import process was not completed. If you have the original camera card - or a copy of the computer of the map - you can probably use the re-import command (on the file menu) to fix things. In addition, it is possible that the original media is imported, but this transcoding was not. If you have chosen to optimise upon import, try to select clips in the browser and transcoding to optimized.

When I click on a link to a google search, I get the "Secure connection" error failed in Firefox. He says, "please contact the administrator of the server or email correspondent and give them the following information: your certificate contains the same serial number for another certificate issued by the certification authority."
I followed the instructions here:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/certificate%20contains%20The%20Same%20serial%20number%20As%20another%20certificate
and looked at this article:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/1028103?ESAB=a & As = AAQI uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, deleted the entire folder profiles and reset Firefox. I see that the older (orphans) article points to my router. However, I have a new router and have updated their software. There is no button to add an exception (as stated in the article), so I can't just work around it. This problem does not occur with IE, so I have a hard time to believe that it is my router.
How to solve this problem? I really want to change browser.
Finally, I tracked the issue. The answer was found here:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/1028985It turns out that Avast has a web shield that passes through its own verification of certificate https. Of course, this feature is not quite right and loses track of the certificates. Disable "https scanning" in the settings of Avast resolved the problem.

Seeing orange blinking after that stop with the charger connected.
Hello
I'm new here and I have the following problem.
Four months after buying the PC (Satellite-Z930-103) I had a battery problem. Suddenly the orange led blinking and the laptop could not be launched. Toshiba service replaced the battery and everything worked fine for about two months. Then the same thing happened again. Because I was working in China, I opened the laptop and disconnected the battery and can be used with the charger connected.
The PC was sent to a point of service when I arrived at home, where they still indicated a battery problem and offered to change the battery. Because the warranty was expired, I had to pay for it. I refused, because the price they were charging was 300 euros.
To the surprise... when I received it from the point of service, they have reconnected the battery and the service report said "computer does work well, no fault found '...
Since I started my fight with Toshiba support and tried to find me a solution. However, the problem was not resolved until today and I have to disconnect the battery and plug it in again after waiting a day every time I forgot to unplug the charger when the shutdown or when he goes into sleepmode) I became an expert at opening and closing of the laptop...
In any case, maybe someone has the same problem and found a solution, I suppose that it may be a software problem, but Toshiba has not solved until today.
To describe the problem even once:
Orange (power) led starts flashing as soon as the computer is powered down (or "standby mode") with the charger connected.
If this happens, I opened the laptop and disconnect the battery (so I can work with feeder pugged in)
Then the next day I open the laptop again and re-connect the battery. It works fine until I still forget to unpug the charger, turn off or restart the laptop.I'm guessing it's a problem of software and a few simple arrangements or a re-installation of something, it can be solved.
Because I travel a lot, I love the little thing but I got frustrated at the moment.
It would be great if I'm right, and someone already had this thing resolved!
THX advance for any help!Peter
Satellite Z930 is very nice machine designed for mobile use and I am really sorry to hear that you have such problems. I imagine that you can't find some identical threads on this forum so I hope this isn't a "general problem" with this machine.
I am not a technician but I can't imagine this problem described has something to do with the settings of the software. In the BIOS, you cannot change a large part and in windows, there is a standard Windows power settings and several Toshiba avancΘs.
Electronic power placed in the motherboard has a few 'standard' functions and switch automatically between battery and power running.I can't say for sure, but I guess there must be some problem with electronic power supply. It is not easy to say what the problem is here, and I really wonder that Toshiba service provider was not able to identify the reason why all this is happening.
Let's see what the other members of the forum think problem described.

Loading slow web page and with Airport Extreme connection speeds
About 5 days ago, I noticed a significant slow down the loading of web pages. In some cases, I see a blank white screen for up to a minute before the page is loaded. In others, the page never loads at all. And sometimes they load very quickly as expected. This happens with my iMac that is connected to a router via ethernet, as well as my Macbook Air connected via Wifi to Airport Extreme.
I have a high-speed internet connection by cable Comcast/Xfinity: Blast 250Mbps.
I tried to connect my iMac directly on the model of cable (Arris Surfboard SB6183), and there is no problem. Download speed was 30Mbps 300Mbps and upload.
Then, I plugged my Airport Extreme router again and connected the iMac to the router via Ethernet. Download speed dropped to 100 Mbps!
This suggests that the problem may be with the Airport Express. It is not a wireless problem, because as you can see the download speed went from 300Mbp/s connected directly to the model 100 Mbps when connected to the Airport Extreme.
How do I troubleshoot/fix this?
One last thing: I did a speed test with my Macbook Air that is connected via Wifi and the Airport Extreme router. Download speed dropped to 35 MB/s.
Direct connection to the modem is so very fast, suggesting the internet connection Comcast isn't the issue. Speed falls even with ethernet to the Airport Extreme router connection, then decreases even more with the Wifi connection.

Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-24 which is connected to the internet via ADSL.
Also, I have a laptop and I want to share internet between them in my apt.

Satellite A660-13D - I can't go 65 Mbps with the wireless connection.
+ Sorry for my English is not my mother tongue. +
Hello
I expose my problem:
I can't go to 65 Mbps with the wireless connection. I can't move this connection speed.
Configuration of the laptop:
* Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (with all updates installed).
* All the updated drivers correctly.
* With the latest version of the BIOS.Router:
* Tp-link TL-WR1043ND, installed at 3 metres above the laptop (without obstacles).
The router configuration:
* WPA2-PSK AES.
* 802.11n
* Maximum output power.
* Channel: 11 (not automatic, that this channel is relatively free).
* Width of channel: 40 Mhz.
* Maximum tx frequency: 300 Mbps.Other information:
The wireless card drivers are correctly then updated (ver. 5.60.48.35).
* The router has updated the firmware.
* I tried all the settings of the wireless card.
* Bluetooth off (without interference).
* {color: #ff0000} there are other computers on the network that connects 150 and 300 Mbps (with the same network configuration). {color}Thanks in advance,

Having trouble with my internet connection through wifi. N600 router is what I think.
I had some problems with my internet connection recently via my wireless router. I get the little triangle yellow and with the connection at different times and I can't call my local internet provider because it still works when they are open, and then it closes when they are closed. I recently bought a Google Chromecast and some think it might interfere with the connection, but I don't see how. When I reset the modem router and cable by unplugging and plug their return they sometimes get the rear connection but it's annoying not knowing when it will go off again, then come back. A few months before the connection out sometimes but not several times a day. If you need additional information such as the type IP DNS stuff I can get it. Also recently I have updated the firmware of the Netgear if that makes a difference. Thank you!
Thanks to all who responded. I talked to my ISP and discovered that the modem was abandon the connection because he was old and he sold me a new and things work fine now. Thanks again!
