10 8 ThinkPad windows sim card

Hi all

I've owned a thinkpad 8 and you want to use the sim card holder. first of all I'm not sure, weather, I inserted the card correctly, but I guess that's to click in the sd card. now when its inserted, nothing happens. normally, I should be able to see a new network... but there is nothing? I assume that the driver is not correctly installed. I downloaded the driver from lenovo site wwan.

What can I do to use my SIM card?

concerning

Are you sure that your particular model of ThinkPad 8 range has mounted WWAN hardware? Not all models do. See table PSREF here and check your model:

http://PSREF.Lenovo.com/product/94

Each model is built with a dual connector for the SD card and the Sim Card, but not all models have the smart WWAN card.

  • How to use the sim card that comes with my thinkpad tablet 3G version?

I got my tablet from newegg and my Tablet comes with a sim card AT & T, how to use this map? I have to go to the AT & T sign a contract and activate store? I'm in the United States
    Thank you!

At & t will put you on a laptop data plan which is more expensive than a plan of "ipad." If you can, find an IMEI of an Ipad and use the sim card number and the IMEI number of the Ipad for you sign up for a plan of cost reduction. Call them to implement. Using an online form or walk into a store At & t will be very frustrating.

PS: it is there no contract that your device is not supported by anyone - you own. It will be a month of service. If you don't sign up, free of charge.

What, the bonus is a kick butt gps integrated 3G wwan card. Enjoy!

  • Built-in SIM card problem

Anyone heading the question where they took contact with care of apple and the representative on the other end does not have the product you are calling for?

I recently had to replace my iPad 9.7 Pro at a local Apple store warranty. There was a glimmer of hope in the quadrant display cooer right. It was not extreme, but once I have the sewing, my eyes always went straight to the it later. Given that the unit was only a few months, that I wasn't old too satisfied to "just deal with it" then I won him in and ultimately they replaced. There is one thing that I like Apple, they really take care of their customers. Then I proceeded to drive home and get on the phone with AT & T to activate it, because the iPad was originally purchased at home and put on my plan.

After getting nowhere with AT & T customer service they transferred me to Apple Care because I didn't have an ICCID under settings/general/to words. After connecting the Apple Care representative I explained the problem. To my surprise, he had no idea on the SIM Apple integrated and kept asking me where was my old SIM and I need one to get cellular service. Now, I knew that this was not correct and I've tried very carefully explain that there is no SIM external it was enabled on the embedded SIM card, however, they guy fought me on it and sounded quite confused throughout the call. I also tried to activate it under the iPad option settings/cell/Add cell phone carrier/transfer again. This option does not work for me, because it has to do with a different plan type (I have or the representative didn't know) he says also my user name and password are incorrect, but it wasn't. I logged in full on the site without problem. As a result of this he told me to change my password for AT & T and that has not worked, it wouldn't have worked anyway, but now I know, it's just so that you can see the traces of events here. I was then left on hold for 15 minutes be say I have to call my service provider.

Just for the forum of reference for the iPad all Pro (to the United States at least) are made with a built-in SIM card, but also have a nano SIM tray for travel abroad. For those who don't know no way "embarked", it is built in the electronic device and is not removable. Why do that and do all sorts of confusion? It is designed to allow a smaller unit and is supposed to give more options for the selection of a carrier.

To resolve this problem, I took my replaced iPad 9.7 Pro at my local AT & T store the next day (today) to configure the built-in SIM card. They had me past in less than 5 minutes. Namely, if someone runs into his question, you need to tell the person you talking if theres no ICCID then its either one wifi device or if you are using a device with a built-in SIM card. They will have the provision to the CSN, which is a very long alphanumeric number located in settings/general/to comments made by verses the low only with the IMEI (obviously).

I'm just surprised that the 'experts' Apple Care had no idea what the hell I was talking about. I am an engineer 'EM and work on industrial equipment. Also, I have a technical support for hardware, software, networks and applications, so I have a bit of history and know how to get my message. I too am a former user of Windows and Android who migrated to apple for its ease of use, robustness and quality, and outstanding customer service. I now own the iPad Pro, mini iPad 9.7 4, Apple TV (3rd generation) and Mac Mini (late 2014). All of which are excellent products that I use every day and that he loves her. I also participates actively in the public beta program Apple with iOS 10 and Sierra of MacOS. Apple, if you listen... Take note that when a supervisor does not know the iPad Pro is manufactured with a built-in SIM, theres a problem.

    What do you think?

  • Portege R500 with 3G - Instructions for the insertion of the SIM card

I have a model PPR50E R500 which I think has built in 3G. Howevere I can't find documentation on how to insert a SIM card. One of the other model seems to suggest that the SIM card is inserted behind the keyboard. Can someone point me to some training documents please?

Unfortunately there is no documentation available. (Maybe in the user manual, but if there is nothing, then you won´t find anything)

Here are some instructions on how to swap the SIM card on a Portégé R400, so I think that since both machines are quite similar, that the guidelines would apply to the R500 too:

Perform the following steps to insert/remove the SIM card:

    1. close the machine OFF completely. Make sure that the POWER LED is not lit.
    2. remove the AC adapter, battery and all connected cables/devices.
    3. open the screen.
    4. remove the keyboard cover with a small screwdriver flat blade in the small hole on the edge of the cover and pulling gently out.
    5. remove the two screws that hold the keyboard and knock it gently over the keyboard. (Use a small cross-slot screwdriver to unscrew the two screws).
    6. to activate the keyboard down, take the upper end of the keyboard, pull gently upwards and place the keyboard with the keys down on the palmrest of your machine.

    * ATTENTION: *.

{color: #ff0000} + do not touch the keys on the keyboard to return back. Make sure that you hold the keyboard on both sides and ask gently down on the palmrest. +
+ The keyboard is connected to the machine with a flat cable. Avoid pulling the cable on the connector or damage! +
+ Avoid dropping objects (such as paper clips, etc.) inside the machine. A metallic object can cause a short circuit on the motherboard, which would cause serious damage to your machine. +
    {color}

    7. search the card slot SIM on the upper right corner of the machine.
    8. slide the locking mechanism of the SIM card with the fingernails or a small object slot to the left to unlock. (You can also use a small flat blade screwdriver)
9 pull gently until on the SIM card slot.
(10 a) Insertion: insert the card into the SIM card slot. The filings of the SIM card must show an upside.
    (b) removal: remove the SIM card from the slot

11 turn the slot down and block it by sliding the lock to the right.
12 insert the keyboard by placing the clips on the bottom of the keyboard into the grooves on the top of the palm rest. Rabat the keyboard gently downwards and fix it by screwing the screws into the holes. Make sure that no screws were dropped on the inside of the machine!
13 install the support of keyboard on its position and push down to fix its position.
14 attach the adapter sector, battery and all cables/devices.
15 enable you wireless device by pressing "FN + F8" when you work on Windows.

    * I must warn you, it s on your own risk and if you do not feel comfortable with the installation procedure can put the machine to an authorized Service provider, which can make the installation of the SIM card for you.*

    Good luck my friend :)

  • Release of subsidy, without the use of another carrier's Sim Card. ?

I thought that I ask or ask this question, coming from Blackberry in general what you were doing was passing by AT & T, they unlock you in contact with the Dept, they you some inputs enter keys and you got the unlock screen, enter the Code and its been bingo...

I am planning a trip abroad and want to unlock the phone before making the trip.

Obviouslly Android is different from Blackberry. Anyone know if its possible to unlock the Atrix2, without having to install an another SIM card from another carrier, is there an enter key sequence that gives you the opportunity to do?

    Thank you in advance!

I finally received an email from a senior to AT & T about the unlocking process and a process. There is no 'touch' in order to access the unlock window

You must power down, place another carriers SIM card in the Atrix2 and the power upward, it will present you an Unlock window. When you do that, you enter the code to unlock.

Gives you 5 chances to do so, otherwise, the phone is locked permanently in the AT & T networkand at this moment it's undoable.

    Thank you

    (1) I have the drivers OK, I the WWAN etc network adapter.

The SIM card works perferctly if I use the key USB 3 G stick instead. So the problem is not the SIM card.

    Hello

    1. go into Device Manager, point to adapters. Or look at the Lenovo support site (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?), press 'Edit', type in your mobile MTM. If the word "WWAN" persists in the brief decription it means wwan card shoul be preinstalled. If you will see "WWAN option" or "WWAN ready" it means laptop a wwan and only SIM card antennas. If you will not see the items as I mentioned above, you must install wwan AND wwan card antennas. I'm not sure that the sim reader, in this case, persists or not.

How can you unlock or implement an iPhone without a sim card & apple computer laptop?

You need a SIM card, and if the phone is locked to a carrier, the SIM card must be that carrier. It doesn't have to be an active SIM; It may be one that has been disabled. You don't need a laptop Apple; You can activate Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS X 10.7 or higher.
