ThinkPad Edge with card WWan Gobi-2000 (no sim card installed)

When I put a SIM card in the card holder. The software Lenovo says "no SIM installed".

It's a card SIM KPN (dutch). If I look on the internet I can only find information on this controller to work with Vodafone cards. What is my problem?

Is that what all do I have to change my settings, or whatever it is? When I use the SIM card in another USB WWan device it asks to enter a PIN. When it's the lenovo, it says that "no sim card installed."

I hope someone can help out me.

Thnx for the support.

OK I found the solution on my own!

It works fine now. After a while of search x_x

It was just the sim PIN code. There was a pincode 0000 on the chip stock. I had to remove the PIN that using my cell phone.

Now, I can finally use my Wwan card!

  • Problems of BIOS X100e with device Gobi 2000 WWAN

    Hello

I have problems with BIOS versions newer than the 1. 10A of output.

As soon as I apply the two new versions 1.11 (6XET32WW) and 1.13 (6XET34WW), the device WWAN that Gobi 2000 is not listed in the Device Manager and a connection using this device is not possible more.

The most recent logins indicates that the device is not found.

Apply default configuration settings after the update of the BIOS is not the problem.

Internet research shows that many people are struggling with this problem.

As soon as I roll back to the 1. 10A (6XET31WW), version of the BIOS, the problem no longer exists.

  • E120 Lenovo Edge - cannot detect the WAN of GOBI 2000 map

Hi, I hope someone could help.  I bought an E120 that my country does not see the X120e

I bought a card WWAN of GOBI 2000 dealer of Lenovo.  The card passes through the white list very well although it is not mentioned as one of the taken WWAN devices supported.

I tried to install the 7xwc48ww.exe (drivers X120e and Edge 11 WAN) to see if it would work.  The GOBI loader installs, but the driver does not load, sense - in device - PORTS - Gobi charger Manager

-In device - network adapters - No. Gobi WAN Card Manager

I also tried the solution-http://curiouslynerdy.com/2009/05/qualcomm-gobi-wwan-card-on-windows-7/ , but still no joy.

According to me, the X 120 and E120 are very similar, so I guess the Gobi WAN should be able to work.

    Can anyone suggest an alternative?

    Thank you very much!

The E120 Edge is like the X121e GOBI 3000 or F5521gw will work. I tried a GOBI 2000 in my E120 with the same result as you.

  • Diablo 3 with - ThinkPad Edge 15 (0301-GTG)

Hello, I would like to know what kind of graphics card is in my ThinkPad Edge 15 (0301-GTG)

It's Intel 3000 graphics or something else?

    How will I know?

    Thank you

    Barak

    Hi again,

The way I read the specification, it is not a graphics card in your machine.  The graphics are part of the CPU chip.

GMA HD is the best that I can get to so far.  The details are in this Intel link I posted.

I see a few references on the interwebs calling it a 5700HD.  Cannot be verified until now.

    Sorry,

    Z.

  • Headphone jack on the ThinkPad Edge works not properly with Lenovo 57Y4488 headphones

Bought 57Y4488 which are earphones thinkPad.

When it is plugged into a socket of headset ThinkPad Edge that the microphone does not work.

Works very well if connected to a ThinkPad SL410.

Tried with two different sets of ThinkPad earphones and two of the various ThinkPad Edge laptops. Unfortunately, I bought my headphones over a month so there cannot send their return.

I was able to make them work if I plug it into a logitech usb connector.

I don't know if the problem is the conector on the earphones or headphones on the ThinkPad Edge connector.

    Thanks for your reply.

Just worked on it. It's a windows 7 setting. By default it does not seem to support taking combo until its installation in windows through advanced audio setting.

I wonder if the ThinkPad GOBI 2000 Broadband Option (78Y1399) contains the GPS, and if not, what is the module for the W510 which contains the GPS hardware. Thank you!

    Hello mate,

  • Driver needed XP for Ati Radeon HD 4250 (Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u)

Hello, I have downgraded from Windows 7 to Xp and I have trouble finding the driver for the video card.

The laptop is a Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u.

Does anyone know the correct driver for this model?

    Thank you

Try DRIVERMAX. I had a PC that had no XP drivers. This program found and installed the drivers in XP and had it work. What it does is find a driver for this type of Board/CPU/GPU/webcam/USB card or sound.

Here are the directions out of my head that I remember best:

    • 1 when you load first it (after it index and askes register you), place the mouse on driver downloads and information, click on start the drivermax agent.
    • 2 loading the agent to ensure that its on the 2nd tab updated. If the (part your will install) shows here then select it and then click Download. Click on the 2nd show updates for only selected updates option.
    • 3 now it will go to the site and show you the pilot/s available. I always choose the driver top list. Click the link to download next to her. Click on continue free user. Make sure that you opened with drivermax and not save on the pc.
    • 4 it will then download and let you know when it is ready to be installed. Another thing if the driver (for what your need) does not appear here, then click on the identity of unknown material below start the agent on-screen main drivermax. Then do the same to download and install it.

There are also clips Youtube how to use DRIVERMAX. See you soon! Hope this works for you.

  • ThinkPad Edge E520 Graphics Upgrade

My Lenovo comes with "Intel(r) HD Graphics Family."

The side of the system of the "Windows experience index" gives me a "2.0" on the component "graphics of games."

Can I get my updated graphs to update on my ThinkPad Edge E520?

You cannot upgrade the graphics card without changing the map of mother together.

Intel HD3000 graphics card should be much better than this, however.

  • Virtualization e335 ThinkPad Edge problem

    Hello

I just got a new 335 edge with Windows 8 Pro 64 bit installed. It has 8 GB of RAM and AMD APU E2-2000.

I had a few problems with this. One was that I could not activate Bluetooth in Windows 8 (solved by installing an earlier version of the Thinkpad Hotkey features software). Virtualization is another issue that is still unresolved.

AMD Virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. However, Windows 8 as well as virtualization AMD tool state once he is off. I, after the search of these forums and the web, off, cold start machine (remove battery), reactivated it, cold booted again (also removed the battery). However, Windows just won't accept that it is enabled.

Anyone had similar problems? If so, were you able to solve? Virtualization AMD and DEP was turned on when I got the laptop from Lenovo. Is this what I need to enable / disable?

I've also opened a ticket with support from Lenovo, and they told me that they need to check a few things, but cannot do so at this time that the system is brand new and not all the details of the system have been put in their system yet. They opened a call and will get in touch with me at some point.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I managed to "solve" the problem. There seems to be a problem with the BIOS. I turned virtualization AMD 'Stop' and then punt cold and virtualization now works and systeminfo reports the following: requirements of Hyper-V: a hypervisor has been detected. Characteristics required for
    Hyper-V will not appear.

To test this, I turned virtualization 'On' and once more, he became disabled in Windows. Turning 'Off' in the BIOS re-enabled in Windows. This looks like "bug" in the BIOS (later - 1.7). Do you want to know if any staff of Lenovo monitor these forums? If this isn't the case, then I would like to present a 'bug report' if possible? (I'll tell the support on the resolution engineer when / if he calls me back).

    Thank you

  • Keyboard comes out on my new Thinkpad Edge

My wife has just received its new Thinkpad Edge (0196-26U 13 "screen, Intel processor, matte black). While not as energetic as our boosted T61 or T400, it is much lighter and adapts to its needs.

Most of the keys on the keyboard feels good, but our model seems to have a flaw. The upper right corner of the keyboard tray pops out regularly. I can click it back in but there is a visible bulge and with a slight flex of the body it comes out back. In addition, the right side of the END key is depressed compared to the rest of the keys.

I provide Lenovo today to inquire about a replacement part.

    Anyone else having this problem?

Received the replacement keyboard today (the day after). It was a simple swap out. The original was clearly misrepresented in the upper right. The replacement unit has a millimeter to give in the same corner, but the framework comes out with an audible 'click'. Not perfect but does not interfere with my typing.

The keyboard is attached to the frame by tabs at the front and two screw centered on a third of the way left and right. This keeps most of the keyboard firmly in place, especially in the middle where you press the small head of gum. The corners are only kept pressed by the rigidity of the frame of the keyboard. Thus, given any incompatibility with the chassis, there got to be some give.

    That's life I guess.

  • ThinkPad Edge S430 Sata 6 Gbit/s or 3 Gbps?

    Hello world

I wonder if the internal SATA (not mSATA) port of the Thinkpad Edge S430 is a 6 Gbps port or 3 Gbps?

Because internal 500 GB HDD is a Hitachi Travelstar Z7K500, which is normally a Sata 6 Gbps drive HARD, but said CrystalDiskInfo it only works in Sata 3 Gb/s modus.

I know that the HARD drive is not fast enough to get out SATA 3 Gb/s max even when, but I want to replace by a SSD's SATA 6 GB/s HARD drive.

So the question is why is the HARD drive works in SATA 3 gb/s modus. The jury only supports SATA 3 gb/s, or the OEM Version of the drive HARD Hitachi only does support SATA 3 gb/s?

Has anyone replaced the HDD with a SSD already?

    Kind regards

    shivo222

Bay drive HARD internal for S430 is 6 Gbps.
